Typically, a man is a male person who is brought up in a certain way, probably upholding some form of masculinity and sense of self in relation to their sex. The distinction between "Sex" and "Gender" is a matter of biology vs human society and psychology, of which both can't normally be changed. For some people, "Transgender" people, there is a great distinction and divide between their identity and psychology, and their birth sex, sometimes thought to be started at a developmental age in the womb, where their brains develop separately but *typically* in synch with their bodies, in which it fails to synch up with their sex. Like gay people, a trans person cannot change their sense of self. They cannot change who they are. Much in the same way a clinically depressed person can't 'choose' to be happy, and how an autistic person can't 'choose' to act normally. The only method to effectively treat such a mental condition is to transition the person via hormones and, sometimes, surgery, though many trans people go through their own journeys, and sometimes decide against surgical intervention due to budget constraints or preference. Unlike people who genuinely wish to straight up amputate their arms or severely injure themselves, trans treatment is viewed by the medical field as an acceptable option, due to the fact that hormones are more reversible than actual mutilation, and surgery is typically decided after hormone replacement therapy. Before either, psychological screening is intense, brutal, and heavily in favor of not going through with it, with the goal of serving only people who would truly benefit from the treatment. Options are weighed, children under 13 never get past hormone blockers (Which are already proven to be safe and reversible in non-trans kids, referable as "Cis" kids, who need them), and anyone below 18 is almost never passed for surgery, unless they are known to be trans and have been on hormones for years. They are still, of course, screened to see if they are happy with the change, and if further action is required. Along every step of the way.
"Why are you asexual?" "Would you prefer, if I was paedophile?" (kudos to my colleagues, when I told them about the trouble I used to have due to my sexuality. Where were you guys 16 years ago?)
4:52 As an asexual, I can explain this one- So basically, it started off with some tweet about how 1% of the population is 78 million. That's greater than the population of a lot of countries, so overthrowing armies would be easy. We created a poll asking which country we should invade, and Denmark got the most votes. That was a meme for a while, and then other countries like Australia and France came up so it just turned into world domination... This meme mostly shows up on asexual subreddits. Yeah, reddit is odd😂
There's really nothing wrong with any of this is there? I didn't think it was odd. Of course we want world domination we can take care of it while the rest of the world is too busy trying to sleep with each other right?
I remember watching something that said 1% is actually on the low end! There's the possibility that there are more asexuals than there are citizens in the US! Imagine invading that place! Now that's true world domination😈
@@47ratsinahoodie A study by GLAAD (2018, I think?) showed that asexuality is actually the second most common form of queerness, with bi being the most common, with bisexuals being 6% of the US population and asexuals being 4%.
I absolutely love the "a-genda" joke, especially 'cus I myself am agender, and I'm definitely doing that joke to somebody. And also, it's totally true that when we bisexuals try to find someone to date, the people of the opposite gender say we're too gay and the people of the same gender say we're too straight, so yea, people say we have 2 options, but we actually get none😅😅
@@bkCheezburgor a better description that what the other person said is just being a bigger person. There's categories midsize and plusize but plusize typically covers both.
Ok but the representation of Sexualities as balls is GENIUS from an artistic standpoint. They just represent the sexuality/gendee identity: no Race, no body type, etc. So everyone that is that sexuality can feel included!!!
I had serious feels for the bisexual ball being rejected by everyone with limited understanding. This is exactly my life 😭. That said I accidently helped my former therapist work out that she's bisexual. I simply told her that I knew after I had a bit of an epiphany when I saw Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean and the scene where she nearly drowned 😳 - I was 11 at the time and I didn't even know that liking girls was a thing - but apparently my entire primary school knew before me
As an asexual, I am extremely glad that the ace ball is just a chaotic gremlin ball that loves their food, friends, and world domination. It’s very accurate 🥰
As another asexual, I have taken it upon myself to inform you of the asexual agenda. Step one: Invade everything with a lower population than us Step two: Take our friends as "hostages" when in reality we're taking them away from all the bigots Step three: Something involving garlic bread Step four: ???? Step five: Profit
5:55 Depending on where this happened I could see it just being someone being genuinely confused bc "lesbian" can also mean someone from the island of lesbos in greece.
When I came out to my grandma as non-binary she was confused but when I explained it she supported me. I had also come out to her as panromantic and asexual a few months before and she was fully supportive.
My grandma was iconic when I came out to her as gay. It started with her saying how it changes nothing, she would always love and support me. And then out of nowhere I think she came out as bisexual? She told me a story about how she had a girlfriend for a year in the mid 60s and how she had always wanted to explore it more. My grandma and granda were madly in love right up until death did them part. But when she told me about her ‘girlfriend’ and how she’s always liked other women it shook me. I’d have never guessed it.
2:15 what he said is very reliable. I told my mom when she asked something related to it that I wanted to be a boy. She asked my why and wanted reasons. She’s a very good person but wow I did not expect that.
The lesbian and bi ball one reminds of some several days ago, when this one girl from church came up to me and asked, "Do you support LGBT?" (I already knew she experienced same-sex attraction since she told me before about having a gf). My obvious response was, "Of course." Then she told me she was a lesbian. Later that night, right as everyone was going home, I called her attention real quick before telling her I was bi (secretly ofc), and it was overall just a really sweet moment :]
@@elizathegamer413 Well, if she mentions having a girlfriend and doesn't get any sort of indication about how they feel, she might ask and then answer the next question based off of that. Like if they said no, to avoid being outed, she might say she made a mistake by saying gf or bf or was just wondering if they thought of her differently for being gay.
I love that the "Aces want world domination" one was *immediately* followed by the "Aces will not take allies co-opting their letter" one. Aces are powerful.
Real allies wouldn't try to supplant existing members of the community anyway. Besides, the "Q" is still open for those willing to question their sexuality or gender, which is a difficult step not everyone is willing to take.

My science teacher, upon hearing that my name was being changed (Imagine name being changed from Austin to Timber) called me up to ask me what my preferred pronouns were. (She/They) It really just made my day.
Shout out for my grandma for reacting to me outing myself as a lesbian with "Well when you have a girlfriend you will totally have to visit me together" which was very cute
I feel like that's what my grandmother would react if I came out to her (referring to the first comic). She was very supportive of her gay brother, so I knew she would accept me. The problem is now, she passed away a year before I came out. I wish she was here so I could tell her who I really am. She was an amazing grandmother and I wouldn't trade her for the world.
The girl I liked died right before we started 5th grade. It's been a long time but it really hurts that I never got to come out to her. She has a bench in her honor at our old school (her grave is in the state she was born in) and every year on her birthday I go talk to her. I always imagine her talking back and it kinda feels like she's still there. If it helps, maybe visit a grave or her old house and talk to her. It always helps me keep her memory alive
As someone who spends too much time on the internet, the Germany being confused for an LGBTQIA identity is all sorts of funny to me. Something that's hilarious to me I'm bisexual and I fit almost every stereotype for a lesbian that I know of and my boyfriend is straight but he fits most of the stereotypes for a gay man so some people honestly do not believe that were dating and it's just hilarious for both of us
I get reactions like that. I am pan and many people see me as fairly masculine for a woman. I am also a little aro. I have had lots of confusion from people not getting my relationships.
I’m pan but the way I dress is very typical lesbian fashion: I also say I’m gay but as a general umbrella term (also I hate my attraction to men) so honestly wish I were lesbian instead of pan

4:18 I had a teacher in highschool who had a sheet like that, with *three lines*: pronouns for 1-on-1 meetings, pronouns that are ok around classmates, pronouns that are ok around your parents/family, and a checkbox for "I would like to meet privately to discuss this"... it was such a game changer, even in my relatively liberal school where people were mostly cool with the whole they/them thing
4:06 one of ny favorite responses to this is question is "Have you ever hugged a cactus? No? Then how do you know you wouldn't like it? Go hug a cactus. GO HUG A GODDAM CACTUS." or some variation thereof.
That chopsticks analogy is so good. Cause there's still the follow up "logic" of, "but which one is on top?" When you set the chopsticks down, do you always pick them up the same way? They look the same so, no, I don't think you do. This subreddit is really cute and you should totally make more videos on it!
I mean yes, but also that is true of any relationship. If they don’t know that women can top men then I just feel pity for how boring their lives must be. Although I never know whether someone asking that question wants the gory details of my sex life, or if they actually are asking about the power dynamic. Neither is any of their business, but I’m always tempted to give them the former just to prevent them from talking to me ever again.
The pride flag you weren’t sure about is indeed polysexual! The blue and pink two-stripe is also indeed cis. There are a few cis flags out there and they’re all boring AF 😂. I’ve been in a class where I was too scared to say my pronouns (People read me as male, especially over zoom, so I just didn’t say my pronouns are he/him because I was feeling really dysphoric and people can suck) and someone said their pronouns are she/they, then the teacher said her pronouns were also she/they and had everyone share their pronouns in the chat. I told them in the chat my pronouns are he/him and how much it mattered because I’m trans. I went from not wanting to add my pronouns to my introduction because I was scared of the reaction by potentially outing myself as trans to voluntarily sharing that I’m trans.
One of them is quite similar to mine favorite coming out story(only 5 people know). We were on scout talking about heartstoper and at the end she was like: “i have something to tell you.” And i was like: “Same.” So she told me to say it first i told her im bi and she was so excited she ruined to me hugged me and said me too! It is one of my favorite memories so far
2:07 Yes, you are correct. Polysexuality is the attraction to more than two genders but not all genders. Someone probably already commented this but I wanted to put it out there just in case.
Hey i don't mean to be rude just out of not knowing yet and curiosity: what is the difference between polisexuality and pansexuality? And does it matter what I identify with? Options are weighed, children under 13 never get past hormone blockers (Which are already proven to be safe and reversible in non-trans kids, referable as "Cis" kids, who need them), and anyone below 18 is almost never passed for surgery, unless they are known to be trans and have been on hormones for years. They are still, of course, screened to see if they are happy with the change, and if further action is required. Along every step of the way.

As an asexual, I can explain this one-
So basically, it started off with some tweet about how 1% of the population is 78 million.
The fact that I never needed the reason, I just fully accepted that it was my sacred duty as an Asexual to one day conquer the world 🤣🤣🤣

My grandma was iconic when I came out to her as gay. It started with her saying how it changes nothing, she would always love and support me. And then out of nowhere I think she came out as bisexual? Do lesbians feel attraction to transgender men/feminine men?
@@odessawales no
Lesbians are attracted to women not femininity
Trans men are men
Hope that helps
2:11 reminds me of this chat screenshot where a person was like “why do you live in literal Japan” to a Japanese person
8:14 I was convinced for *years* I wasn't actually bi because I'm more interested in men than in women (but I do have interest in women). It was a confusing time.
Hi jamie! I recently realized that I am FtM, thanks to several TH-camrs, but especially you. Dysphoria and doubts are a bitch, and I live in a country that's vastly LGBTQphobic, but your positivity always manages to lighten up my day. Thank you for everything!
Are you in easten eupore.
You. Are. Valid.
Just remember, you are valid and there is always a place for you in the Alphabet Mafia!
@@marvelous971-j6m Yup. Turkey, to be exact.
@@YouveBeenMegged Thanks! Had a shitty day but this gave me quite a moral boost. It feels good to know that the whole Alphabet Mafia is one huge family that backs each and every member up.
What's often crossed my mind when I've heard blokes freaking out about the possibility that a gay guy might hit on them is, "dude, women don't think you're attractive, what makes you think the gays will?"
8:45 that reminds me of my coming out.
I came out to one of my friends at midnight over whatsapp. We write and she tells me she's bi too. Next day, I go to school, tell my friends. First one told me they are trans, the other friend told me she is bi too. (my other friend had come out as lesbian already). Recently, when I told my new friend that I am bi, because I wanted to be open to her, she wrote back, telling me she is asexual. (and my best friend from childhood is non binary) And just like that, I suddenly had no friends that are NOT LGBTQ+. Up to this day, I find it very funny that I unintentionally surrounded myself with people from my community :D
Damn! As an avid user of the LGBallT subreddit, I never expected our community to end up in a Jammidodger video! Huge fan of your channel, and I'd absolutely love to see more of this :D
As a bisexual person, I am now ball. I gladly accept this new development.
7:40 I kept waiting to hear, "They bisected the bisexual ball and got two equally bisexual balls."
6:44 THIS. this one is so relatable to me, i remember sometime after i came out as trans, i didn't have many shirts that were in men's sizes, so my parents gave me a bigger shirt with the band members of Nirvana on the front. _i love Nirvana, dude...._
Fun fact:
I was a cisgender lesbian but recently I figured out I was actually confused
Now I know I'm genderfluid and pan-
A fluid pan? Well that can't be great for cooking!
@@undead_gaming ok, ik the pan jokes are (kinda) old but that was hilarious loll
@@CrowNamedVallen Thank you! ~ A pansexual polyamorus Agender commenter
5:31) I am so happy they included omnisexual in there bc as a Omni person we don't get talked about much and when we do it's by omniphobes
Explain to me what omnisexuals mean pls?
@@partypooper7051 Ofc! Omnisexual is kinda like pansexual but you are not "gender blind" so gender plays a part in your attraction and you also may have a preference towards women and men or men and nonbinary genders or Women and non-binary genders. But yeah that's basically what it means Happy to help 😊
