Stanley - I'm originally from Minnesota ... family moved out to Mound/Minnetrista when we were young, moved to the North woods (Ely) for several years, and ended up back in St Louis Park/Edina before moving on. It's not only great to hear the Minnesoooota accent, but it's great to see how things are still great back home.

Quite a few years ago, someone helped themselves to a trailer and 2 quads I had. I found out who did it, found my stuff in their barn, then "introduced myself" to his wife. (not by name) I let her know that he could return my stuff by 7:00pm ("he knows where he stole it") OR his world would implode around him... "no matter what his choice, no cops will be involved." Truth be known, I hadn't come up with a plan, but the bluff worked- He slithered into my driveway and dropped off my stuff at 6:45 that evening, quiet as a mouse! GB&GG, Brother.

What you should've done is leave the equipment but dig a small tiger trap near the equipment.
During the Vietnam war the Viet Cong (guerrilla insurgent group) would peal back the landscape, dig a small hold where they would place sharpened bamboo shoot that had been soaked in human fecal material.
Then they would take some thinned bamboo to support the landscape.
What happen next I am sure you can visualize. Soldier steps on false ground, foot goes into hole where bamboo shoot sharpened to a point penetrate the soles of boots. The tiger trap was not set to kill you, just to give you intense paid. The fecal material also causes an infection. Criminals only understand blunt force trauma. Criminals love panty waste judges who give them slaps on the wrist time after time. Country singer Charlie Daniel's is the one who coined the phrase panty waste judges and panty waste prosecutors.

If your house isn't too far away from the building to work Harbor freight sells a driveway alarm. It consists of two pieces. A motion detector that you can put in the building to detect movement and a receiver to put in the house. The receiver makes a sound and flashes a red light when the sensor detects movement. II runs on batteries. A trail cam hidden in the building or in the yard could help too.

@@Dirtmonkey I have the indoor and also the outdoor Wi-Fi cameras that they sell at Harbor Freight. Now I don't know if you have Wi-Fi over there but maybe you can get an extender from your house I don't know how far you're away or not but you might be able to make it work. Anyways they work off 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi They got motion sensors on them so it'll notify your phone and all you got to do is click on the app And then look at the camera that gave you the notification. You do have to buy them individually they're about 30 to 60 bucks depending on which one you want I have their outdoor one And I also have an indoor one The outdoor one is called the Geeni DCW011 outdoor camera And the other ones called the Geeni CW021 pan and tilt camera. You can move that one all around with your phone and see what's going on inside that room. You Also have a microphone and speaker on all those cameras so you can talk to somebody that's in that room or you can listen to what they're saying and you can record it. You can send it to a cloud and then you also have motion sensor so you can adjust how sensitive you want it.You can do it off your phone or your computer by downloading Geeni app. So far I've had them for about 5 months and They work great. The only thing that was a problem was getting them synced up to my wifi it took a little bit of time but I got it. You can't listen to music or anything like you tube on your phone or your computer when you have the camera on. If you just wanted to leave the camera on your screen to watch while you're listening to music can't do that its either music or camera not a big deal the performance is great. Besides those two things they're great cameras great night vision. Look into them You go to Harbor Freight and ask them to show you what they got give them the model numbers I gave you in the begining It's definitely good for the price too. You can just buy one And that's it You can buy five Doesn't matter cuz it works off an app and you control which camera you want to look at . Great videos man I'm looking forward to this snow season I live in Northern Ohio up by the lake And sometimes we get lucky and we'll get the lake effect and then other times it goes right above us and everybody out east will get it . @@Dirtmonkey pretty sure that if you make a video of burning a brush pile in a MN lake, that you would be creating evidence that the DNR will use. There are massive fines associated with doing this due to the damage that the ash does to water quality and fish habitat when it is released into the lake in the spring.

You should get some trail cameras and set them up in some areas that'll cover the shed and entry drive. Cheap but effective security. For your camera and other equipment bags, what about getting those Milwaukee one key tags that you can put on tools. They are a battery powered GPS tag that you can attach to a packout to keep track of it with their phone app. If your equipment ever walks off again like that, you could send the police directly to the thieves. Great vids, like following your projects.
