Incredible - even as I watched the broken old buildings, my mind was bringing up visions of how it had been from when I was there, over 50 years ago. Thanks for this.
Never seen this, so interesting thank you. My brother went to a few schools, he used to sing me a song ‘build a bonfire, build a bonfire, put the teachers on the top, put the prefects in the middle and burn the f****** lot!’ Lol
Thanks for posting this ,it was my old school,I remember there where loads of kids my age looking for there class rooms including me for the first 6 months 😂,,when I was there I couldn't wait to get out but honestly looking back some 40 odd years ago its quite sad to see it like it is.
Up there earlier in week for a covid walk. It's now been turned into flats. Next time I'm up I will post a video of how it is now. Used to love going to school when I was there in 80s, strange as that might sound.
went to coedylan comp, after leaving central school treforest.it was huge millions of kids. at the time it was like being thrown into an ants nest. ok central was not perfect . but up there i felt i was fed to the lions. to this day i cant count one good memory flash back .me and russell hoskings would go up the bwl to one of the farms cant remember the name and go horse riding one or two afternoons a week.from 73 to 76.my school education stopped. it was only the last 6 months ,i got to make friends with the glyncers and the bwl kids.and met up with my old class mates from maesycoed .back then they went to mill street school.put it politely the teachers were ruthless even the ones i new from central ,went from being laid back to full on tyrants [i like that word].if i had the brains to have gone to the grammer school for 2 years .i dont think i would have survived. that type of education. COEDYLAN COMP WITH THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL MIX .would like to give it a big fat ZERO. its just one little boys opinion. 46 years still alive to tell the tale.i have got to mention MAESYCOED SCHOOL .enjoyed every day and we had swimming pool.the moral of the story is ,there,s good and bad experiences in all parts of our lives and while im doing this ,whats happening now is im facing it head on C 19
oh wow okay yea your way before me lol.. i Was there year 7 and 8 back in 2003 to 2004 When I moved to the upper Coed-Y-Lan school they were constructing the new school for year 7 and 8 in Cilfynydd
I went to this school for year 7 and year 8 which was 2002 - 2003 He retired in 2003 and was replaced by Mr Davis. Mr Giblet was one of those old school "strict" guys lol. Would also be interested to know what happened to him..
