Interesting statement about taste buds. I read once that every few years you should try something you previously hated because of then changing as you get older. I hated mayonnaise growing up. Tried it again a few years ago and now have it on all my sandwiches! Nope, no change yet for mushrooms though! Another great walk Dan. Stunning photography.
Yes, what a walk. Dan the amount of work it makes take to film an edit your walks, shows in the product. So well done and also your brother's music is hauntingly beautiful.
Beautiful scenery as usual. Walk moors! Love the socks too! Waiting for valentines. I really don’t take advantage of Patreon benefits... Kay did you knit your sweater... if not you could have..!
I would love to see a British broadcasting channel pick up on your "Walking the Moors". Between your fantastic narration, the area and the music that accompanies this series, I'm almost certain it would be extremely popular. I do know, here in the states, the Public Broadcasting System would love it! Anyway, it's something to think about. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. BTW: Loved the dragon growl you inserted, very good!
Love your show. I was a Patreon till recently. Due to financial situation I had to stop. But if all goes well I’ll be back as a Patreon. I simply love watching you guys and love your Patreon content. Everyone who’s not a member should consider joining. Keep up the great work. See you on Patreon soon. Love from Canada
Wow, 8ft, 6" tall? Imagine knitting socks for him!! Great walk on the Moors! My grand daughter and I set up a table with Dry Clay and we made several Ghosts! Fun!
Wooo hooo your back thank goodness, I need your happy space today not a happy visit to the dentist today lol. My walks are not as picturesque so I especially enjoy yours.
Hi Kay! Lovely socks and scarf. Can I ask, what bind off do you use for your scarf? Do you bind them together to make an infinity scarf or something else. I'm working on a scrap tube scarf, but not sure what looks nice as a bind off. Dan, Walking The Moors' tours are so fun and informative! Such gorgeous scenery. Your presentations are superb... like having Sir David Attenborough and Ken Burns combined!
hey Kay and Dan! How about making little ghost project progress keepers with the "moddeling" clay ! : ) Think you said when the clay dried it was lite weight . . . Or little Bakery Bears!!! : ) Bunnies at Easter You name it A clay for all seasons haha
You won't believe this, but at the start of this podcast I thought "I'm going to suggest Dan tries Latvian Braid" as I have just tried it for the first time, then you tell us you have done it!! Great podcast, as always. Thank you :o)
Dan I wish you had read a few of the headstones at the old church. I was wondering what the dates were. Kate - I am going to know your cowl as soon as I finish the socks I am on right now. I have never made a cowl yet.
Omg you like Kpop? Me too! I started knitting a few weeks ago and have been looking for podcasts to listen to while knitting so I’m happy to find someone with the same interests as me.
Just starting to watch. I seen that “molding” clay 😂 and thought it looked like silly putty type maybe? Is that maybe what It feels like? Does it get hard after drying? I was thinking I could use it to make handles on my steel crochet hooks.....hmmmmm...... I needed your podcast today, it always cheers me up and today I just got up feeling kinda down (been a rough year) so thanks for the smiles and laugh guys!!
Air drying clay is unlikely to hold up well to constant used on crochet hooks polymer clay will as You can bake it in the oven to cure it. A two part resin is another more robust option I’ve used milliput successfully
Funny you should mention bringing legwarmers back...it was 12 degrees Fahrenheit this morning, and I'm wearing some thick, chunky legwarmers I made several years ago! Keeping my feet warm in 80's style! :)
Thank you so much for the walk and an insight to your beautiful country!

I love my yak tracks!! Not expensive at all and much better than falling and landing on your tush!
Yak tracks are the best. I trained outdoors in Idaho all winter. They are about $15 and dont take up much room to store and you’ll have them forever.
A most enjoyable informative podcast beautiful views , an lovely crafts , looking forward to the next one ; kind regards.
Dan you should start a walking guide business! I'd love to join you for several walks for the benefit of your historical commentary!

Yak trax have little coiled springs on the bottom, I honestly couldn’t walk my dog in the ice without them.
Love how Kay looks in this one; all color-coordinated with gold accents on the nails.

Love the shambles I want to go to the ghost shop too now lol
sitting here watching the show, knitting the Dun Broch socks! It is a fun pattern!

In NZ uni students who live/lived in the coldest city, put thick woolly socks over the shoes which gave them traction on ice!

We got that clay for our girls during the first lockdown, it is so weird!! But brilliant, the girls made so many things with it. 😄

Hi Kay I know how it feels if one have a mishap with contact lences.
In the US it seems like a year since Christmas.
Here's an idea! those little ghosts could be made into thimbles.
Just starting to watch. I seen that “molding” clay 😂 and thought it looked like silly putty type maybe? Is that maybe what It feels like? Does it get hard after drying? I have hack tracks that are at least 5 years old. They should be used by you a bit.
Just curious. What would the change in elevation be over the length of the your walk?
The highest point was 670 feet - best wishes, Dan
Your clay looks a lot like silly putty here in the USA.
