I just voted for you Spidey! This trick was very clever, and I'm still wondering why you decided to reveal it! I definitely have some very good ideas with this trick.
I think he is just such a generous and kind fellow and so he asked us to go vote for him and is giving us this amazing effect for us as a kind of reward perhaps. It is not needed of course as I am sure most would have gone and voted anyway, right!
The body language thing can actually be really useful too. I once did a card trick but messed it up in a way that I could only narrow down the selected card to one of two options. I held up both facing the person who had chosen the card and watched his eyes. They immediately looked at the selected card and lingered for half a second. At that point I could confidently reveal his selection. Watching body language saved the performance.
Love everything about this video - performance, presentation, method, subtleties, the way you teach etc. I have a lot to say but in a word I can say "sensational"

I really enjoyed this, and was surprised how simple it appears once you explained it. I would have never figured it out on my own. That is the beauty of magic. It is an art and a talent many of us don't possess. Even at 57 years old I am still impressed with magic tricks. I have always enjoyed sleight of hand tricks like this because it happens right in front of the spectator's face. I have never really cared for the big illusion tricks.
Even after watching this video, I could practice it 1,000 times and still screw it up. Again, magic is a skill and talent some of us just don't possess. So I am better off just watching and enjoying the fun

I tried to get my head around how the interlocking chain shuffle actually works and I noticed that every third or fourth time I went through the whole process it didn't work (another electronics card was placed in between the selected card and the sun). After quite a while of digging I thought of a way to ensure the interlocking chain shuffle works pretty much 100% of the time: If you reduce the ratio of your electronics cards. In your deck you have (according to your video) 11 electronics cards (with the sun 12) and 45 cards in total. That means that after the first interlocking chain shuffle the sun will be in average the 24th card from top in the deck (which is, I think, a problem, since it is then placed in the lower half of the deck). Because when you half the deck again for the second interlocking chain shuffle, the sun is in the bottom half and will be mixed with the upper half which contains the other electronics cards. And so another electronics card may come between the selected card and the sun, which will mess up the trick. To solve the problem I have only 9 electronics cards (10 with the sun) and a total of 52 cards (I added some more none electronic cards). That means that after my first interlocking chain shuffle the sun will be around the 20th card from top. Even if the spectator doesn't cut the deck perfectly in half when shuffling for the second time (because I don't expect a regular person to be able to cut the deck exactly in the middle), it is still pretty much ensured that the sun will be in the upper half of the deck, which will then be mixed with the lower half (all non-electronic cards). There is then no way an electronic card can end up between the selected card and the sun.
I hope I was able to articulate that whole process in a way that is understandable :)

Yeah having less in the top stack works but an even cut and a good shuffle does as well because basically you just need to avoid electronics in the bottom half after the first shuffle. If you want to be safe. You cut and offer them the shuffle but I’ve never needed to do that. It really shouldn’t fail 1/4 times if the shuffle is a decent riffle shuffle
It is necessary for the Shuffle Riffle to be performed by someone who can do it a little. The author of the video is right that it must be a "decent" Shuffle Riffle, otherwise it will go wrong. Many tricks are based on apparent chaos, but Shuffle Riffle, if done well, will not allow real chaos. If you want 100% certainty, make sure that the selected card returns to the deck of cards turned 180 degrees. You will find it after any mixing. In the final, don't forget to scatter all the cards on the table so that it is not possible to find out that only one card is turned 180 degrees. This mental trick can be taken very far. For example, I don't care which card the viewer chooses from any number of cards and I don't even use a stripper, crimp or marked card. I just have to shuffle the cards first and then everyone can shuffle as they wish. :) There are many possibilities. Good luck.

For years I've been looking for a trick I could do, I even have a list on TH-cam with some trick reveals in and I've never ever tried to recreate any of them. This trick however is THE ONE!

Interlocking chain shuffle! I have been looking for the name of this for almost ten years. I use it with Tarot cards to force the upper arcana. This works so well for me because everyone wants to see the cards, and this allows me to show the entire deck in my very first trick.
