- Took out my CZ Drake 20 gauge for a round of sporting clays at Fishhawk Sporting Clays.
I changed the recoil pad on the gun to a kick eez pad, as the original didn't provide much support. Then used the comb raising kit from Beartooth Products to raise my eye for a better fit.
Now the gun feels much better and was a delight to shoot. If I could change one thing, I wish there were longer barrel options for the CZ Drake.

The gun shoots straight as long as it fits the shooter, but if I had to do it again, I would have foregone spending the $700 for a cheap 20-bore that doesn’t feel great, and instead wait to buy a 20-bore Beretta silver pigeon sporter.

What gun and ammo are you using?
It's the 20 Gauge CZ Drake from CZ-USA. I was using Federal Ammunition from Walmart; 7/8 oz of 7.5s.
Just orders a drake what are your thoughts ??
It's functional in that I have fired approximately 1500 rounds through mine without any issues or mis-fires in the 2 years since I bought the gun. Now I have changed the recoil pad as the recoil pad that comes with the gun is rubbish; my shoulder would be red after shooting a casual 100 sporting with the gun. Since changing the recoil pad it now feels like a proper 20 gauge, and is pleasurable to shoot.
CZ has the worst customer service ever. Bouight a Drake from them and it was deffective. They said it would take 12 (TWELVE) months to replace. When the replacement came, it was dammaged. Avoid CZ shotguns like the plague
