Her voice is absolutely amazing. Definitely a gift from God!
Several years ago observers set her range at five octaves plus four notes. I think she has matured greatly from that time. Her lower notes are deeper and richer. Her higher notes are more stable and seem easier. She seems to move through ranges easily without much concern. She stated in an interview a year ago about Signature, a recent five song EP she produced and co-wrote with her husband, Dave Lamar, she doesn’t want to known for her whistle notes which she still does on occasion in live performance. They have also become better. She approached Signature as if she could sing the same songs 20 or 30 years from now. Part of the light you see is her spiritual life. She is a committed Christian and one interesting song she recently recorded on an Asian Christian label was Water walk. Dave and Morrisette release a joint EP From the Sea early this year of songs they wrote to commemorate their wedding in June 2021 instead of cover songs. The lyrics, vocals, instrumentation, and mixing is top notch. She is both a cover and a genre busting performer spanning pop, religious, blues, rap, r & b, to dance. She is only 26 with 12 years of professional experience. Morrisette has so much room to grow and mature as long as she is not pigeon holed into others expectations. Finally, as with most great singers it’s her God given tone that draws people. We make up reasons we like singers from energy, to technique, to style, but it is really that tone where the great singer produces pleasing tones that seem to encompass different frequencies simultaneously.

you matter a lot too rosalie , i've watched and listened to dozens and dozens of musical video reactions over the years and one thing i noticed in my observations a typical video reactor must have listened on the average to only about 70 to 80 % of the vocal performance of the artist at hand and actually watched at even less at about 60 to 70 % for a number of reasons you'll find if you observe closely their behavior and i'm such an observant person . it's a strange phenomenon but real .

It was Bruno Mars birthday last saturday when this came out, and seeing Bruno is part philippino and Mori is a big fan, you can understand why, thanks for your reaction.

The transitions are so smooth. She totally killed this. I highly recommend you check out one of her original songs next, "Will You Stay", "Mirror", "Phoenix","Love You Still" or "Trophy", each are good enough for a Grammy, but didn't get nominated.

When Bruno Mars had his concert here in the Aloha Stadium he got tickets for us, Bruno every now and then calls his uncle's cell phone like in the middle of rehearsals or bbq lol Bruno lived with his uncle a bit when he was a teen.
The big deal about Bruno is that he is part Filipino. He is adored by them. Me? I didn't know that his songs sound so good when she sings them :)

Speaking of wedding gigs as you had mentioned, 3rd Ave as a matter of fact started out as a highly sought after wedding band for big celebrities and well-to-do personalities of the Philippine entertainment world. They are sorta like a super-group with each member a successful artist in their own right. Their musical director, Adonis Tabanda, the bassist to her left is also her own personal musical director, bassist for her live band and frequent collaborator in videos and live streams and other projects (acapella version of Rise Up, Mariah Carey's Fly Like A Bird for example)/

Like , @playlester stated....we can all be shocked by when we hear a whistle note , or growls and squeaks, and vocal breaks and cries, but its knowing HOW and WHERE in a song to use them, that conveys emotion. Morissette even after the 4 years I have followed her closely, has really matured in this area. What drew me to Morissette was her TONE and after trying to find new adjectives to describe this addicting sound......best one I could find was...EUPHONIOUS , it is so pleasing to the ear and you never tire of it.
