Cooper the trouper! I bet those steel gratings on the bridges did not feel good on his foot pads. Man that was some superlative scenery. Made me envious of the Native Americans who used to own the land and lived the life!
lol Cooper's joy as he rolls around reflects what we all feel when we take our pack off!! the pain we'll put up with for such gorgeous scenery.... thanks for sharing!
Having done 3 kayaking trips along the Pukaskwa coast I can really appreciate that Lake Superior is the real master there. We were wind bound for 3 days on one of those beaches on one trip. The last 10 day trip I took was hot, sunny and beautiful, and can never be bettered. However, I cringe at the thought of hiking it! Well done you 3.
Thanks. Love the coast of Superior. Everyone who lives in Ontario should experience it. Glad you made it out ok. Interested to find out what caused the sickness….loss of salt, overexertion, heat exhaustion….I have no idea. Did not know those bridges would be an issue for a dog.

@@toshselfpropelled I have o be honest I felt the pain of hiking uphilll, lol. Cooper did so well on the suspension bridge, my Elly wouldn’t have for sure.
Great adventure with my favorite 2 guys and dog! Cooper did so good on the bridges! That water fall was beautiful and that river under that last bridge was amazing!! Thanks for sharing!!
That Cooper was so good with that bridge! We took are dog to Tahquamenon and went down 95 stairs like that. Down was fine, but I carried her 60 lbs ass back up because the expanded metal bothered her paws!
WOW, beautiful area and quit the work out for you two and Cooper Cooper did great going across that bridge's really enjoyed the scenery along the trail, Happy you all made it through this hike with no serious issues .
Nice change of pace. Probably hard to find your filming rhythm on a hiking trip? Sorry to hear you got sick out there. Body's probably not used to it. Beautiful area and great video. Thanks for sharing.
You have to put Isle Royale National Park on your list here in Michigan. We would love to tackle that hike…looking into it! Cooper is the definite star of the show and his calmness on the bridge was amazing. What a trip!! Cheers C&J
Love the look of those secluded coves, the beach and the big lake behind them. You sure had to work for 'em though, quite a slog at times. I felt for you towards the end, you looked uncharacteristically spent, but no wonder! Regardless, a memorable trip for sure. Fun to watch!
Just finished watching Joe's first part of the trip, what a gorgeous trail! How did your back and knee hold up? Looks like a good hike for us bigger blokes 😁
Absolutely gorgeous. As someone who grew up on the west coast of Canada I certainly agree this area looks very similar. The coves really remind me of home. Is that an uberlite you're sleeping on?
@@toshselfpropelled could I ask how you like the uberlite? I'm considering one but worried about stories of them being loud and not suitable for temps near freezing.
They are louder then many other mats. It doesn't bother me though. And although much lighter then most, they're more fragile as well. If you're primarily concerned about weight, it could be worth it. I use a NeoAir X-Therm in the winter. It's warmer, thicker, wider and longer but is much heavier as well.
@@toshselfpropelled actually that’s even worse, you been out with him multiple times and he couldn’t pin your comment or leave your link in the description of his video. A shoutout and either one of those would instantly get you a massive influx of subs. It’s cost him nothing to do it.
What pack is Cooper using ? Would you recommend ? How did Coopers pads hold up. Did you feed him dehydrated food? Thanks for the video. Trying to decide if I will bring my Malinois along. Didn’t bring him on the coastal trail at LSPP and was glad.
Awww, Cooper was so cute going across that bridge 😍
He’s such a good dog!
What a Beeeautiful trip!
Again some beautiful shots to watch and enjoy. I look forward to many more this year my friend.👌👌
Thanks for watching and the kind words.
Coop did amazing on those suspension bridges 😁😁😁
Yes he did!
Great video keep sharing.

Yes! Cooper did awesome on the hike. It's so beautiful that it's hard to know where to point the camera.
Wow! Wow! Wow! How beautiful! Thanks!

Cooper is hilarious! 🤣
Ahh, Cooper was so brave crossing that bridge. :)
Very!
Thanks for the video Tosh, the location and scenery was spectacular. Looks like you blokes sorta had fun 😂.
Thanks Shaun. It was fun! The ups and downs are part of the fun.

I agree. It's such a beautiful place. I think it was salt loss that caused the issue. Or rather to much water and not enough salt!

That sounds rough!! Cooper wasn’t the biggest fan of that metal grate either. I’m sure it doesn’t feel very nice on his pads.
Cool trip man. Hope you’re feeling better. Cooper is an excellent dog!
Thanks. I am! He's the best.

Thanks Adam. It was a bit difficult to find that rhythm. Both physically and for filming.
Nice vid.
I hate getting sick in the bush. Glad you pulled through and ended on a high note!
Cheers!
Thanks Sherman, Lots of ups and downs on this trip for sure. Cheers
Cooper is braver than I am!!!
That scenery was amazing but the hills, a no for me. Great job guys!
Thanks for watching!
This was a great video!
Thank you!
I loathe backpacking. I always bonk at some point. I'm glad you perked up again in the morning. Beautiful area though.
Spectacular area. I just needed some food and a good sleep!
A beautiful place indeed 👍🏻
That Cooper is a trooper.
Loved it
Thanks Ray. He is indeed! A better companion that I could have ever hoped for. Thanks for watching.

Hike it out boys. 😆
One foot in front of the other...
Love Cooper! Backpacking guru!! Is the trail point to point or loop?
He was the best!! The trail is point to point. Either hike in and out or get a boat shuttle out and hike back.
I cut trails there in 1980 ..
That’s neat. Has it changed much?
@@toshselfpropelled - haven’t been back since 81 , was at Hattie cove & bird bay .. can’t spell bird in French 🤣🤣🤷🏼♂️
Hi Tosh
Hi
To bad Joe didn’t give you a shoutout in his video. Maybe help you gain some subs next time.
It's all good. We've been on each others channels a bunch of times now. We have a lot of fun out on theses trips together.
