Hi, I'm Amber and in May 2017 I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to purse this crazy dream of living out of my RV full-time and traveling all around North America.
After 1 year of traveling I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B Hymer Aktiv van. I couldn't have been more excited to continue my second year in a van that allows me travel to more places and experience more in life.

OMG, I commented too quickly. You are very brave to give up our 6 digit income for your own business. You are much braver than my wife and I. I am a retired US Air Force and my wife is a licensed teacher in Oregon and the Philippines. She works online 40 plus hours a week and makes a decent income. We have passive income rental properties in Sacramento, Oregon, and Manila and do very well. Our home base will be our Oregon residence

Brooke Villarreal lol thank you for sticking with me. It's funny I was just talking with my sister about my vegan weight loss channel. I have so much going on with Story Chasing that I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed and I wanted to start consistently posting to that channel. I'm not sure what I'll do right now. Thanks for the honesty too about what you're interested in. I don't always feel so fearless and powerful and I had a BIG moment of self doubt this week. Worse than ever. Story Chasing I’m looking to buy use possibly next summer. In the meantime.... I hit the road in my Honda Civic and a good tent ⛺️ I just returned from the east cost Ontario to Newfoundland. A few years ago I lived in a 5th wheel at a camping ground ( stationary) and I traveled to Guatemala 2 months a year. Full time van live is definitely in my future. Loving researching people that is making it happen.
Congrats to you for deciding to focus on building your business! I am also glad that you were honest and acknowledged to your viewers that this will not make you an instant 'millionaire'. I worry some people see this as an easy way to make money and do not fully understand all the hours of work involved behind the scenes. Thanks for keeping it honest and up front. My opinion? Linda Rose I love that reflection of success. Can I use it? I may be quoting you here soon!!! lol It really touches my heart and feel instantly attracted to its meaning. Yes I think that was some of my vulnerability as well as making sure I set an accurate picture for others. I work A LOT of hours on this business. Videos can take upwards of 16 hours to edit, edit pictures, write the blog post, schedule social media, etc. Then there's the Story Chasing community of comments/questions that I respond to from the blog, TH-cam, FB, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, email, etc. I'm not complaining. I call 'em like I see 'em (or is it feel 'em? lol). Yes you may use my reflection on success 😊 We are all responsible for creating our own success in life. Every person has their own success meter they have created for themselves. Just be cautious that it truly is YOUR success meter and not what you believe society has defined as being successful. Success, to me, does not mean having a bank account full of money (even though that would be nice too). It's okay to be passionate about many things at once. We should all be creatures of wonder and seek out knowledge. When we find that one thing that truly calls us deep in our souls, and it nags at us in the back of our minds, we WILL eventually navigate towards creating our own definition of success. I believe that a large part of success is realizing that life happens, positives and negatives, and it's what we do or do not decide, and how we do or do not react, that defines how our lives will proceed.

My only question is 'what does someone do for an address when they have none' I want to have an address to have stuff sent to and also to receive stuff in the event I buy something on the internet. I do plan to start mining gold throughout areas of the west coast. My RV is not super nice, but it is nice and cozy for me and my three mini schnauzer's. I've had it for 4 years now and was living in it the entire time up in Seattle. I left Seattle on February 6th 2019 on my pursuit of gold and I purchased a Minelab GPZ 7000 and a 19inch coil to replace the original 14inch coil. Total cost of the setup was about $9000.00 so I would say I am just waiting for most of the snows to melt down a bit before I go into this venture. I still need to get some documents and pay fees and dues but that should be easy. I want to sell online only nuggets that have beautiful appearances all bland looking nuggets will be sold to gold buyers that usually just melt them down into ingots. I need an address for many reasons and this is where I need to know what would be a good way to get one that travels with me.
I would like to know more on how to make money on the road I would like to travel with my family the only thing holding us back is how to earn an income watching your videos will help thank you for doing this

Great information!! I'm a cannabis consultant!! I wasn't sure what I was gonna do.... I'm full time in my RV now. Trying to put my TH-cam channel together. My goal is to change public perception and possibly start a non profit to get oil for children and cancer patients.

I don't sell anything. . I was never a smoker. I moved to Yucaipa 5 years ago to die I have fibromyalgia lupus high blood pressure hypothyroidism insomnia depression I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis first the doctors just kept changing their minds and putting me on more pills against medical advice in September 2014 I started using cannabis against medical advice and completely cured myself I had no hope for 30 years now I have a brand new life I'm able to drive this RV travel take care of it myself it's amazing I've done my research I know that not only does it cure cancer it stop seizures in children but not CBD the THC is what does it that's our medicine we must fight for our government owns / 27 patents on cannabis medical uses it's time to tell the truth I think the only way I'm going to be able to do that is through video showing my life today I hope this makes sense I just had to speak into my phone I never do that and I think the most important thing is I have not touched so much as a Tylenol since I've started using cannabis I haven't had a headache or a migraine or the chronic pain that I've been suffering with for the past 30 years or the memory loss that I had when I moved here to Yucaipa I couldn't even remember how to turn on my television or pick up something if I dropped it on the floor
Deborah !! Wow! Your testimony gives me chills. I'm so glad you're out there speaking on this subject a real life testimony to how these alternative methods can literally cure ailments and diseases. I have a cousin with brain cancer in WA state where cannabis is actually legal. The cancer is growing and continues to grow, but she's not helping herself, not even with Western medicine. I've talked to her before about cannabis oil. I've seen videos and read docs on how this can possibly cure cancer. I also have a friend with fibromyalgia too who I know would listen to your message. I just checked your channel, will you be making videos on this soon?

Oh wow congratulations on your new adventure! Right now I'm work on setting up local passive income that can be taken care of others when I start traveling. I would love you to go through your traveling expenses. Since my rig is paid for I won't have to worry about bringing any expenses along with me which will be nice! I'm still having trouble with my ankle though. 🙁 I'm going try some more PT with another company. I pretty much maxed out what my insurance will cover but I have to try something to try to get better. I really think it's the metal plate and screws in my foot that are causing so much of my continuing problems. They said they normally don't remove it but I think that's going to have to happen.

Story Chasing yes. I became an insurance adjuster. I work storms. But I’d like to have something passive. Tried amazon. My own store. Etc. hard to get going. I am a musician and could teach guitar. But never figured out how to get students. So. I’m stuck in town. Waiting on storms to try and make cash .

Wow you put it out there! So brave to leave your job! I left my 25 year accounting job for my art and it was scary. You speak well and are doing so well at this venture. I've had an art blog for 8 years now and have yet to try monetizing it. Only a couple you tube videos/slideshows on creating my art. Done mostly for workshops I teach. Not sure I want to BE in front of the camera, or spend the TIME it took to just put up those vids (slow at editing) to create more. But I'll be tuning in to see if I can gleam some hints on making my hopeful "someday mobile art studio" profitable for me. We accounting folks know how many businesses go under every year, so the fears are real.

I do sell my work from my website and galleries, commissions etc. I teach in my home studio and do workshops outside of that. Because I do colored pencil pieces that look like paintings there was no one here in VA teaching my style of saturated realism. I blog because I teach, for my adult students, and held office in my art association and wanted to encourage them. I travel journal, plein air paint (open air)in my colored pencil work. A few of my blog posts have been published in art magazines. When I looked into it, I didn't have much of a following. And frankly I'm not sure how it all works. The blog is outside of my website but can be accessed from it. Not sure it's OK to put my site here but I'd love you to have a peek at my work.

Im definitely interested in learning how to make money online. I've set my goal of going full time mobile dwelling for 2020 but I need to get my income off to a start. My thing is crafting. Making different things from wood añd other materials, painting, woodburning, carving, jewelry making. Kind of a lot of ideas and places to jump into but I'm not sure mosty about marketing. Ebay and Etsy are the two places I plan to start but I want a wider marker. Some things geared towards RV'ers, Holiday items... any helpful thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the info gathering stage. I will be a small SUV dweller for 8-12 months or so as I choose where to set up a permanent residence (unless I figure out a way to have my plants and pets on the road - lol) I'd like to have income while traveling and exploring. Hi Amber, Love your Wednesday Income Info. I just found out about Amazon Fulfillment Program. I am trying to plan online income plus other jobs for RVers. I bought my RV for Vacations now, then travel down the line.
Lobaby55 great idea on setting yourself up in the RV now. Oh yes the Amazon fulfillment program is pretty sweet. There are people that literally research what's trending, source the product (even from other countries), ship it to Amazon and start selling. Truly amazing. Are you looking into that as a viable option?

I'm interested in finding out more about income to sustain the rv lifestyle....i'm not too savvy on video/editing etc are there courses you can suggest: ie editing videos/adding music/accessing music to use on videos etc :) ty
Thanks for the vid's. I'm curious as to what your average monthly expenses are. I'm semi-retired and will always have to have about a thousand dollars per month coming in. I've done sales/ customer service work by phone for many years. Have you heard of any of those types of jobs that can be done while traveling? Thanks so much.

I'll probably start posting monthly expenses in the near future - I assume you mean for the RV life not for the business or did you mean both? Currently I'm on Cobra insurance but looking to domicile in Florida this winter and get on the nationwide insurance plan there. I did consider renting, but I honestly didn't want the headache and just wanted a clean break. I did well with the housing market in Seattle with only owning it a year.
Story Chasing yes, I did mean health insurance. Thanks for the info. I’m in Portland area, and still undecided about which way to go regarding renting or selling. I have some time before I can make this a reality so still trying to figure out how it will work for me.
The market is good for renting right now so you could start off renting and then always change your mind and sell if you wanted.
It's probably safe to assume that you also have other types passive income if you were working a six figure job.

Can you get a jet pack on eBay and not spend $200 on a new one I did try the unlimited not pre paid plan but at 22 G it was so slow I couldn’t get a webpage up without walking off and coming back later! I took it back and decided to see if I could buy my own jet pack and not spend $200 on their new one .

I like your Workshop Wednesdays plan; and I think you are doing a great job so far. I'm curious to know what type of job you had, demanding though it was, that enabled you to work 100% remotely and be location independent. For some reason, I was under the impression you had some sort of IT/computer job. If so, what did you do (e.g. web developer)? Is being able to work 100% remotely common or typical in your former (!) field?
Tammie - Thanks 😄 I was a Director of Asset Management Accounting for a private equity firm. Yes, I was fortunate in that I could work remotely for the company and my team was located at the corporate office. I would fly back several times a year or more if needed.

EsteeDarla I have Verizon and AT&T and often need the cell booster since I tend to stay in remote areas. I don't have cable or satellite. I don't watch much TV, but if I do it's movies I stream.

Hi Amber. I'm hoping to meet you in January in AZ, but in the meantime, I'm very impressed by your videos and knowledge (watching all your Workshop Wednesday videos). I also just quit my GREAT job and trying to give this full time RV'ing a go. I've been living in my RV since June, but quit my job in August. I've been blogging and youtube'ing for about 4 months. I guess I need to get more information on monetizing my blog... my application is in for youtube monetizing but I don't meet the requirements just yet. I'm dog walking/dog sitting and just started shopping with Shipt in order to pay my bills. Could I ask you more information on how you monetizing your blog? How do I get started? And my second question is, how are you making your Amazon work so well for you? I haven't had one sale, but I don't believe I'm working it right. For example, I only mention my affiliate account briefly and don't have a link on each blog or video I make. Does that help? As you can see, I"m not in marketing, ha! I was a social studies teacher, turned flight attendant/instructor. LOL! Thanks in advance!

The how, well that is a very detailed answer that will require a lot of explanation which is why I'd like to help you out when I put that information together in the blog post and video. Add your Amazon to every TH-cam video description area, add it to each post as well. People always ask me what these products are so I'm just giving them what they are asking for and trying to make it as easy as possible for them to find. Hope that helps.

Diana not at all actually. This is the most social I've ever been in my life. You can be as alone or as social as you'd like in this life. Us full-time RVers have a huge commonality that instantly can create a bond. We tend have similar goals, agendas and philosophies about living life too. It's pretty cool actually.
