Favourite part of all time. I absolutely love Barletta's unique style. Shows that you don't have to go huge to have a great part. Just be original and unique. I mean who else could legitimately power slide through some leaves in their part? As someone who sucks on a skateboard but loves doing it, it gives me hope.
Wtf are you smokin? Street skating was at its height and great parts and video's were coming out all the time. Sounds like you just watched this for the first time and now are acting like you were there.
@@HonkeyKong54I get what your saying but people were still skating in a very specific street style. Anything different wasn't appreciated like it is today atleast by most people. Slappies,Wallrides ,no complies even grabs were frowned upon. As much as I love that era of skateboarding it was very rigid in terms of what was deemed "cool" or "core"
Absolutely! Best comment I've seen in a while. A lot of skaters today do it for notoriety and not the fun aspect. There's prob a hundred kids hating on this part becaue it wasn't flashy enough. His skating is always unique and that's where its at.
Incredible part. He really looks like he's just having a blast in all these clips. Plus, he's got a bunch of tricks in here you rarely see, like that 360 Boneless down a double set. Man, this part is just perfect!
damn, this is Classics material now? I went bananas for this when it came out! that was not that long ago! I'm not old! My whole world is crashing down around me!
All exclamation points!! ah! ... but seriously this part (and the rest of the whole video is so, so good.) kudos for uploading a decent quality version for the Next Generation of skaters to witness. Damn....
he’s so fluid with his skateboard it’s insane. it’s like his body compromises to anything the board does, his legs adjusts to whatever condition/position the board is in. talk about board control with a extremely unique and creative approach to skateboarding. louie is truly one of a kind. i remember my favorite board graphic i’ve ever owned is his enjoi board with the panda wearing a paint respirator/mask and it was graffiti style with a blue backdrop and then a pink ply under it. i pretty much was in prime with that board, such nostalgia. i love that graphic so much
A wise man once showed me these skate videos, he was a real one, thanks for showing me what skateboarding was all about so young, you taught me it’s all about fun.
Just remembered I hadn't watched this part in a while. Still as dope as it ever was. And I mean, you could release this today, and it would still be just as interesting and unique as it was back then. That's what it's all about.
The dudes that are actually good as fuck rather have fun than try to put bangers out everyday, and that should show the real spirit of skating is having hella fun.
Easily one of my faves. Louie is the definition of someone who looks like they're truly just having fun while skating. So many clips are spills, carefree tricks with little padding after he lands them. He'll slam down a huge inward heel over a 6 stair, film a line with a penny board, and powerslide through leaves. I have a crystal clear memory of watching that "walk-off" boardslide at 2:59. It's contagious watching his energetic style and how much fun he's having while doing it. Maybe it's the hair?
This shows that skateboarding is an art form. Like I tried doing other sports with friends but there wasn’t any creativity like you were either good or bad but skating good or bad don’t manner it’s just about being unique
His board control is amazing. been busting for many years like all the rest until his deck became like an extention of himself. could just as easily get a number of tricks at ay of these spots but now he's just toying with it instead of killing the flow with stressful concentration. definitely more fun to skate and dope to watch.
This part rips, the whole bag of suck video is incredible. The way his board breaks as soon as the music starts. He has so much fun, and he's a Taurus like me.
This part would always get me excited to go out and skate. Had this on my iPod so I could watch it in class all day. Had a few polo shirts to back in the day...
WHY THE FUCK HAVE I SLEPT ON THIS DUDE FOR SO LONG?!?!?!?!?! This was one of the coolest parts I've ever seen. Fun goofy clips mixed in with actual factual gnarly shit.
I had never seen that skate part from him... I'm always looking for his Man Down part, but can never find it..... This part is even better... Even the song selection rivals the Man Down song... Lol I'm so glad I found this...
One of a kind thrasher plus I love the numerous shots of downtown San Jose CA....great line up of pros out of SJ!!!! Myself born and raised 95127....Gershon Mosley...Caswell Berry....Jose Rojo...Poncho Mohler...Nate Lopez and of course Louie Barletta!!!
What I'd call a perfect marriage between the song and the skating. Great part, beats the endless amounts of switch tres down different things that skating has (largely) become.
Who’s here in 2024 cause Louie is a beast
"Would you like to watch a dude powerslide and fall down on some leaves?"
"What?"
"It's Louie"
"Give me five now and ten more to go"
If you ever forget why you love skateboarding...watch this
im 31 and just watched this, picked up my board for the first time in 5 years and off for a skate!
Even his slams, you could probably put together five minutes from all his parts of Louie rag dolling then looking up at the camera and laughing
Fuck, I always think about skating, then just drink a 6 pack... I need to pick up my board and return to the classics!
@@benn255b3 I like to drink a six pack, then cruise.
So I went for that skate and realised how fucking difficult it is to recover from falling lol

amen brother.
+Chris Brown Really relate to your last sentence
+Chris Brown louie barletta goes huge bro
+rodrigo solari He does go big, but it's not Wallenburg, El Toro or some other ungodly spot where mere mortals couldn't tread.
+Chris Brown some of that stuff was huge and if you have never power slid through some leaves are you really a skateboarder??
Skateboarding had become pretty stale and then Louie dropped this part, the influence of which is still felt today, absolute legend!
The whole video was refreshing to see, at the time. Prob all-time favorite video.
Wtf are you smokin? Street skating was at its height and great parts and video's were coming out all the time. Sounds like you just watched this for the first time and now are acting like you were there.
@@HonkeyKong54 my exact thoughts

Classic? Now I feel old.
15 years perhaps...now is old man, we re olders skateboarders.
oh buddy….

that boneless is insane, my favorite scene in the whole part for sure
Reminds me of Ben Koppl! I wonder if Louie is one of his favorite skaters 🤔🤔
I can't believe that this is 10 years old still relevant af
+Dr. Kenneth Noisewater thats the definition of a classic...timeless, it will still be relevant in 10 years
+kinetic static Just like John Cardiel's part in Sight Unseen.
videos like this are timeless because they are dude having fun.. he skates "wreckless" faster then most.
Honestly a lot of this stuff is what's cool today
still today i feel his part had more influence on todays parts then most.
All time favourite part. Love how he says "whoa!" after a trick, as if he expected not to land it lol

+Demicycal this guy is serious though, he is just being really creative doing things that others wouldn't even think of in their dreams
Love how he has a big smile on when he slams, what a gem

Louie was skating like 2019 in 2006, way ahead of time!

This video part would still be dope if it came out today!
This was prime time for enjoi
Lomomop for sure, just goes to show you don't have to be hitting 25 stairs to make an awesome part.
Such a smooth, innovative, and FUN way to skate. His compact style is epic and I use it in surfing til this day.
This part is ahead of its time. I will always watch this part to get hyped to skate. And if the internet ever dies I have it on DVD.
When he just slams his board up against that ledge while riding by hahahaha
+Kiefer Hyder Hahahah! I love Hsu's expression in the background.
LMAO I started dying at that part. Classic Barletta
ive always tried this ever since i saw this part 10 years ago, its so hard to do!!!
@@sushiquad my group used to try it too! we called it "The Louie Grind". We weren't very clever...
12 years later and it still blows my mind.

this is the first time I have seen this part....wow...very impressed
Watch it again 😁😉
Mike Carroll was so impressed by this part he gave Louie his old Thrasher SOTY trophy which I thought was really kind and respectful
4:23 the little hop off of that bluntslide is majestic. it's as if he just FLOATS for a moment there.
I never realized just how sick Louie is. Such a good part.
Glad you realized 5 years later lol this dude can really skate.

And I just re-fell in love with skateboarding. Thanks Louie
You can tell louie is an amazing skateboarder, he just chooses to have fun in his part n i love that. Cab flip was insane
Every time i want to listen to Young Turks i look up for this video bc the song fits beautiful with it, makes me feel good even tho i don't skate
Like a music video lol
same here. but with other skate videos, like franky villani's "one big mess", or jerry/louie part with age of consent
I love watching this part while on acid. It's just so uplifting and fun.
Box of Fxck🤘🏽
Watching this after taking acid makes me wanna go skate again.
This part inspired my skateing so much when I was a kid,I love his creativity

Easily the best part in skateboarding if you asked me. Never been happier to watch someone have a good ole time.
My favorite skateboarder ever. So much style and humor packed into skateboarding... PROPS ON KOTR 2016 ENJOI
My home state homie from Nashville Tennessee! Picking one of my favorite skaters ever Louie. Got to love Louie!!!!

so many cool spots with equally creative skating
The first time I saw a Bartletta clip. I’ve been in love ever since.
