    Thanks. I had to improvise with its 'walking' for my project, but it does have to stand and walk upright as that's the only configuration where it can detect all types of obstruction (all tasks) - a lower configuration would not identify slope, stairs, etc.

  • @SFaPiL2
    @SFaPiL2 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very nicely done.
    However, considering the presence of "limbs" in your robot, how come you didn't make it walk like a four-legged spider on the irregular surface? By making it crawl like that it might get jammed in a hypothetical gravel road or grassy field, don't you think?
    Just to be sure, I'm not belittling you excellent project, but rather sharing my observations.
    Keep up the great work :)

    @hwud1 sir, what is the brand of the battery that you used on your robot? and how long does it take to discharge the batteries when the robot started to work? I have a project on which I use 17 servo motors but my problem is, I can't find a suitable battery for my robot. i need your help sire.. thanks in advance.

  • @tolgaozuygur

    I can understand identifying the height obstacle with the sharp rangefinder. But how does it identify the irregular surface (carpet)? That doesn't sound realistic to me.
    However, amazing job on the different movement modes. Wished it was a better walker too. :)

  • @RomeshKhaddar
    @RomeshKhaddar 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    gr8 robot... and I understand that it can be programmed to walk in multiple ways... and loved its Haka Dance in the beginning.... but it appears that it has been preprogrammed everytime for each scenario, a common algorithm is what should be desired.
    still cheers for such a good project.

    Would have been far less awkward in "walking" mode if the "knees" had simply bent the other way, more like how spiders walk. Your robot is obviously capable of the motions, just need to work on the program. That said, IMPRESSIVE bot.

    Where did you buy it? Was it K-mart, Walmart, I looked for a while in a few stores but I couldn't find it. Do you have a reference name or something that would make it easier to find. Where did you buy yours btw?

  • @AKdaBAOUS
    @AKdaBAOUS 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's pretty cool with all the transforming but the walk motion was a bit odd. Why did it bend its legs inwards and its feet didn't even lift off the floor? However, I was impressed with the driving abilities.

  • @forfudgessake
    @forfudgessake 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    First reaction: make it a hexapod to improve the walking capabilities and then just pull the two new middle legs up and out of the way for all the same driving abilities

  • @MrNyxeka
    @MrNyxeka 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    for walking, I would reccomend one-foot-at-a-time, with more "throwing around" it's weight. It may be ahrd to do with those servos, but I do know that it is doable...

  • @allanonmage
    @allanonmage 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    When it walks it looks liek it's having a seizure. And then it crawls by doing a double breast stroke! OMG!! Did you post code, schematics, or blogs about it anywhere?

  • @hitfan01
    @hitfan01 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    this is an amazing concept but it seems like the walking phase is pointless. rolling would be quicker and it uses rolling for everything except the irregular surface.
