@@joedoerfler4431 This isn't about alcoholism. That's an excuse. This is about an entitled, immature, irresponsible narcissist who isn't accustomed to being told "no" being held accountable for his actions. I'll tell you one other thing, and I'm pretty sure Joe the bartender will agree: That guy came into the bar drunk. He tested .15 at the jail (although Minnesota doesn't have Drunk in Public law, a blood alcohol content level of .15 is almost twice the DUI limit in that state). He couldn't have gotten inebriated in the bar because they refused service. Had a public safety officer or representative of the Minnesota Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division done a spot check (having worked for the Virginia Alcohol Beverage Commission, I can tell you that police departments and state alcohol enforcement agencies frequently conduct spot checks at late hours, close to closing time, to ensure that bars aren't serving inebriated patrons) while he was on the premises, they could have suspended the bar's liquor license on the spot and, pursuant to a hearing, perhaps even revoked said license. Bars don't tend to remain financially viable for very long once they lose their liquor license, so it's a pretty fair bet that every person working in the bar, as well as the bar owner, was at risk of joining the ranks of the unemployed every minute this asshat was on the property. That, in my estimation, is the REAL reason why he was denied service. Not his homosexuality, not his obnoxious, entitled attitude, not his alcoholism. He was bounced because of the financial threat he posed to the livelihoods of the staff and owner.
oh man, I didn't realize the national guard was in charge of police. man, they should really pull that card more often; they could get away with anything.

Only if it half or more of it was Supervised Probation. Even then...nowhere near enough of a consequence for his criminal behavior, especially spitting on a LEO. Ok...at the end of the video it reports that the probation came with "conditions"...which sounds like at least semi-Supervised, plus other possible court orders (no contact with that bar, alcohol evaluation, etc.). Maybe a little justice here, but not quite enough I think, especially for "repeat offenses". But hey folks, "keep voting blue no matter who!" at your county prosecutor & judges level 🤪.
@@500ccRabbit The bars like to argue that "we upcharge you for the ambience and the experience" but if the experience is having to deal with patrons like in this video... they'd better be paying me to show up and drink there.
The bar owner said this guy hit him twice, he causes problems every week, he harasses the staff, but doesn’t want him to go to jail and refuses to press charges? If you repeatedly stop short of making him face the consequences of his bad actions, why even bother calling the cops?
There's a difference between removing him and trespassing him from the property and sending someone to jail. The dude probably has a problem with the extremely flawed justice system.
@@beanme2422 I realise there’s a difference, but this is only going to keep happening if he doesn’t press charges and make the guy face some real consequences for his actions. He’s going to wish he’d stepped up if one of his employees ends up dead.
Yes! Agree 100%. They have repeated problems with him but never trespassed and then complain when he continues to come back and cause more problems. Smh. They're part of the problem at this point.
"They keep kicking me out for being gay!" Then why would you keep going back? I wouldn't go where I'm not wanted. Are there no other bars that exist besides this one?
There are 46.9 bars for every 100,000 people in Wisconsin. So yeah, there should be plenty. But... based on his attitude, he may have been kicked out of all of them already.
As the husband of a woman who retired from the Air Force as a master sergeant I can attest that this guy's boyfriend being a master sergeant in the National Guard will mean less than nothing in helping this guys case out
Because of repeated assertions that only property owners can trespass individuals, I feel it's important to address this argument. The right to trespass individuals from one's property is a derivative of English common law. This common law principle remains or was incorporated into the statutory schemes of state laws. Under common law, property owners can appoint agents to their properties who retain certain abilities of the property owner. This scheme was absorbed by many statutes. Employees of businesses are agents of the property and thus retain the right to trespass individuals from the property. It is the reason your local Walmart can have you trespassed despite the Walton Family not directly telling you that you're no longer welcome. Hope this helps.
as someone in the LGBTQ+ community: fuck that guy, being gay has nothing to do with why he was kicked out, he was kicked out because he's an asshole. i hate when people try and blame the consequences of their actions on discrimination.
Yeah, and unfortunately everyone around this asshole sees the worst of the community. I had a trans person live with me once and they were an asshole and when I had to kick them out they did all this shit about how it was discrimination but they ended up in the mental hospital for fighting with the police and the stuff they were doing before that in my home that made me call them.
I hear you. There are enough genuine cases of discrimination. Every time some narcissistic jerk starts falsely accusing someone, it's just more fuel for bigots. It's a trait that runs across all demographics, they'll just use whatever tool they think is best for making them out to be the victim. If they can't think of one they come up with something. I saw a body cam video once where a(completely sober) guy being arrested said, 'you wish I were a minority, so you could beat me.' The cops arresting him were both minorities. WTF!
He’s an asshole. People like this guy need to go to jail. He physically harmed one of his staff, a female staff and he doesn’t want this guy to go to jail after repeatedly returning? He’s an asshole and you’re an asshole.
Guy comes in constantly harassing employees. The response should be, “do whatever the law allows to hold him accountable,” not “meh too much effort, it’s fine if he comes back and harasses employees.”

@@beanme2422 I realise there’s a difference, but this is only going to keep happening if he doesn’t press charges and make the guy face some real consequences for his actions.
That Walmart analogy is a perfect example. Thanks for explaining it so clearly.
as someone in the LGBTQ+ community: fuck that guy, being gay has nothing to do with why he was kicked out, he was kicked out because he's an asshole. i hate when people try and blame the consequences of their actions on discrimination.
Exactly 👍🏼
WTF!
