Stridetalon are one of the few monsters truly fitting of the name "monster" with their veiny sac containing poison they use to spit at specters. Hunting them down to become a next meal. This monster is not known to consume other monsters yet does indeed hunt for sport, one of the few monsters that could really be considered a dangerous wild animal.

Apparently this phenomenon has been known to happen at large scale, when the dark matter of the Rift between dimensions seeps out from interdimensional fractures. It could be a trick of light, but the gloom that dwells beneath a Pentumbra almost seems to take a life of its own... but because it's nothing more than a shadow of a shade, it tends to imitate other beings' sounds rather than create its own.”- Monster Bio
Description
Pentumbra is a Quad-Element Ethereal Monster found on Ethereal Workshop. It was added alongside X'rt, Rare Pluckbill, and Epic Viveine on April 17th, 2024 during version 4.2.1. As a Quad-Element Ethereal on Ethereal Workshop, it is obtained by successfully extracting the energies of a Plasma Meeb, a Shadow Meeb, a Crystal Meeb, and a Poison Meeb, using the Super Hyper-Refined Synthesizer by spending 5,000 . Its successful Synthesis time is 1 day and 18 hours long. As a Quad-Element Ethereal, Pentumbra has a decent Shard production.

Pentumbra's contribution to the song is a low, somewhat raspy “laa,” similar to Tweedle. Multiple of these voices can be heard on top of each other, and they’re usually short laa's that make some sort of melody. For Pentumbra's first track, Jeeodes sound can be heard singing in the same rhythm as Vhenshun's clanging. For Pentumbra's second track, the end of Yooreek's first track can be heard towards the end of it. For its third track, Jeeode's Ethereal Island sound is heard alongside the laa's, as it mimics the melody a bit.
The first track mimics and plays with Vhenshun, the second track overlaps and mimics Yooreek, and the third track only plays once in the Auglur and Piplash verse.

Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. Synthesizing
Pentumbra is only available for purchase or synthesizing on Ethereal Workshop. As a Quad-Element Ethereal, it requires a pre-existing Triple-Element Ethereal to "build upon". Pentumbra, being a Quad-Element Ethereal, requires two Meebs attuned to each of the Triple-Element Ethereal's Elements, and three Meebs attuned to the fourth Element in the Super-Hyper-Refined Synthesizer. The following Triple-Elementals can be used to synthesize Pentumbra:

Blarret and Crystal Meeb
Flasque and Shadow Meeb
X'rt and Plasma Meeb
Note that the successful synthesis of Pentumbra will result in the Triple-Element Ethereal Monster being lost in the process.

Every Monster has different things that they like. For every unique object that they like that's placed near the Monster, the Monster's happiness will increase by 25%. Placing more than one of the same liked item near a Monster won't increase its happiness by an additional amount. If there's a Unity Tree on the Island, items don't need to be near the Monster. Earning rate is in Shards per hour and depends on Happiness % (Likes increase Happiness) and Monster Level. Each Monster also has a maximum amount of income it can hold at a time. Increasing the Monster's Level also increases this limit.

Each Monster needs to be fed four times before it reaches the next level. Increasing the Monster's level increases the shards earned per minute, as well as the maximum shards earned.
Notes
Pentumbra represents the Shadow Element, just like Loodvigg, the Celestial that shares it.
Pentumbra's name is a portmanteau of "penumbra," where a part of light is blocked during an eclipse, "phantom," which means ghost, and "penta," meaning five.
Its name is also a reference to umbra, the dark inner part of a shadow.
Pentumbra is currently the most unstable and hardest Quad-Element Ethereal to synthesize.
Pentumbra may be based off of an eclipse, due to it utilizing a light, blocked by its body, to create its singing shadow.
Coincidentally, it released 2 weeks and 2 days after a total solar eclipse traversed over Eastern North America.
Yooreek and Jeeode can all be heard overlayed onto Pentumbra's second, first and third tracks respectively.
Pentumbra's third track sings a melody very similar to Jeeode's Ethereal Island track.
Pentumbra's first track mimics the beat of Vhenshun, but the sound made is the same as Jeeode.
The pink substance on Pentumbra's legs, egg, and hand is presumed by fans to be the same substance covering the Mirror Islands.
Pentumbra is one of the first Monsters to reference a community-made meme. One of its nicknames, "Akhuhoth", is a reference to a fanmade Monster of the same name that became a meme in the community.
So far, Pentumbra is the only Ethereal Workshop monster whom Flasque can be used to synthesize.
The phrase "Shady Long-Legs" likely references the order of arachnids whose members are often known as daddy long-legs. (Harvestmen)
This phrase was also used by Monster-Handler Jenn in the Echoes of Eco 2024 trailer.
Pentumbra’s shadow is most likely modeled after the Shadow Element symbol.
Pentumbra's sounds changed afterwards its release and made its voice edited and more noticeable

Everyone makes mistakes... Including the synthesizer! The synthesizer messed up stridetalon so he got through some mutations like faces on the tongue, double tongue and big... Red... Things? Monsters still dont know what those balls are supposed to be but some think its the storage of this mutation, but its just a myth
