Offshore made this song for the "Calling My Name Era" and it was rejected... but JYPE handed it to them for the main title track... It wasn't good enough, but it WAS??
jype and div2 really did not decide to put any effort into promoting GOT7 this comeback. While the music video was very visually pleasing, you can tell not much money was put into it. and then they didn't have a comeback showcase, the albums sold out almost immediately with no restocks and the list just goes on and on. I really hope that after seeing how well the album chart jype will realize just how important GOT7 is to their company
The fact that this mv have the same director as god's menu tells that division 2 only gave small budget to the mv. Unless the mv is suppose to be like that.
and the fact that mark himself had to promote the comebacks on his social media's and the other members followed suit? like what the heck? everytime jyp contributes to a title track it gets hella promotion, but when jb or any other member does its barely promoted- they do not even do the bare miminum.

@@Rin-tm2ub oh yes, we do actually know the difference. :) JYP is the person who used to blame pre-debut Youngjae to the point he felt traumatized and was SCARED of the JYP himself. JYP who told teenage Youngjae that if GOT7 won't debut it will be Youngjae's fault. JYP who listened to 3 seconds of Jaebeom's songs and rejected them, not even giving them a chance. JYP who humiliated GOT7 publically because it's so fun. :) JYP who "forgets" to mention GOT7's imput to the company's growth. JYP who "forgets" fo praise GOT7 even tho he mentions every single other artist in the company. Yes, we do know the difference between JYP and JYPE quite well. :)

when i was first watching the MV i also noticed that youngjae wasn't shown until the end and it was actually because he injured his neck while filming so they had to arrange the cuts around him. but ahgases came up with an amazing explanation by saying that youngjae was the last piece that completed GOT7 and I honestly think that's so beautiful

Most title tracks have more choreo but youngjae injured his neck so they had to substitute and have those members dancing solos to cover it.
Really? imo I think this is better than their other MVs. I really love the simplicity and the transitions are insane. It is so well-thought and planned.

The first thing I thought when i first saw the first scene of the mv. “What the hell?! Is this the same set?!” I was lowkey pissed but the music and the editing saved it
Breath and Last Piece are connected/it has a storyline so its not a surprise that they used the same set.

But honestly for one of the big 3 companies it’s embarrassing to put out 2 videos for different 2 different songs but same sets, seme identical sets. I would have been okay if they only used the painting room because they only hinted at it in Breath and the white room. But the place outside it’s unacceptable, come on. It was completely the same place the didn’t even try to show it from a different point of view.

jype div 2 being called out is exactly the energy we need ngl. the boys put in so much work and effort and care into the production of the music but then div 2 acts like this and gives them a low budget mv and no promotion, it makes my heart hurt. they deserve the world. got7 is jype's best selling boy group. TREAT THEM RIGHT JYPE. they deserve a lot more than this.

The thing about the mistreatment is that JYP has a culture to move old group stans to their newest group....
So when GOT7 debuted they had a lot of schedules and promotions and it attracted a lot of hottest to stan them but now they are a senior and JYP is doing the same thing they did to 2PM, cutting promotions and schedules so fans would migrate to Skz... The only thing that is different this time is that GOT7 has a really specific and loyal fandom so that's why we still can have the bare minimum from the company.
Please I'm not hating any group and I really just saying all this cause I don't want the same thing to happen to others JYP groups.

NIZIU's case was understandable, since they are handle more by Japan like the Sony Japan,,, same case with TWICE's japanese comebacks,,, Their Japanese comebacks MV usually has more budget, more sets basically better than Korean and they are handled by Warner Music Japan...
So to summarize JYPe's DIVISIONS sucks ass (except div1, they handle skz and their mvs are top tier)

Not only the mv but also the promotion. They didn’t get a showcase, not enough albums, no mv trailer to title track, no social media promotion (Mark was the one who did it all), and so much more. It’s ridiculous and Aghase is fucking angry with good reason

But seeing someone like you addressing it I know that we're not fighting for nothing. You didn't insult us, quite the opposite! We never felt insulted by everything you said. We actually feel relieved that it isn't just us, Ahgases, who can see the suspicious treatment of JYPE to GOT7.

And yes. JYP is cheap when it comes to Got7. No promo. Seriously.
I guess part of the reason why it feels so cheap is because Not by The Moon was so well made, it was rich in color and had few sets and nice props. And now with Last Piece it doesnt quite feel like continuation to that or even Breath, it's just something that has been filmed on the same place and just the way they said it, it lacks The Big Feel got7 has f.ex in nbtm or ycmn.
But luckily song itself saves a lot and the fact that mv was well made.

@@damlak8410 ikrr. except for straykidz other groups physical album was the same , with those plastic package and cheap magazine covering style.they could have used beautiful boxes. i mean take a look at blackpink new album, the style was minimalistic and simplistic but the packaging was chef kiss it was so pretty. what is happening with jype seriously are they running out of budget ? GOT7 deserve so much more this is their freaking full album and their DYE album was so beautiful. at the end of the day what matters is members amazing songs and the pictures were so beautiful members were shining.
Oh PD the situation with GOT7 and this "lack of promotion" by JYPE for Last Piece is SO fucking puzzling to ALL of us. Honestly I am at a point where I have absolutely NO idea what the hell is happening. The only question I have is WHY? Why is this happening?? And it is getting ALOT of attention in the media. And yet JYPE has said NOTHING. They have added no ads to the Last Piece video but have also blocked the fandom from purchasing ads for the video which is a first time. JYPE literally blocked us from supporting this video. And the fandom have funds saved up for it. I feel so defeated. I just wake up everyday and hear new shit about how this group is being neglected. The sabotage is SO serious. Thank you for your thoughts. I can only hope that something changes.
OH PD! You don't know half the obstacles GOT7 and Ahgases go through. But we come through everytime. There are no words to describe how disappointed we are with JYPE. Infact we'd like nothing more than them to leave the company and join another one.
Fans can't buy albums because JYPE has capped the printing.
Albums are sold out in stores without restock 3 days into comeback, forcing stores to sell display albums.
Less to none promos this entire comeback.
Members literally had to promote the comeback through their personal socials.
JYPE effed up the release dates on itunes in different countries so it affected the first day sales.
Not to mention the 'sold out' preorder albums.
No variety shows to promote the comeback.
Less to none ads by the company. 95% or the MV views are organic by ahgases.
I've never seen a company treat their flagship boy band so poorly as JYPE before. Honestly Ahgases are hurt. I'm sure GOT7 feels the same way. These boys are so sooo talented. That's why we love them and won't leave them. Atleast there's that.
In short, this song is a masterpiece. Got7 Save the kpop in 2020

I was honestly shocked that they used the same backdrop too. I initially thought they were connecting it back to Breath but there really no call back to the first mv other than the same background.
i kept waiting for the flying veil thing to happen, for it to be like a continuation, but nothing happened !! i thought that was the only reason why they used the same set twice, but i guess not, jype're just cheap
I'm a long-time ahgase (from JJP days in 2012) and istg I think they've used this alleyway for several GOT7 MVs, like Lullaby and I think Look.

At first I was happy the set was the same as Breath, but now that you say that, it makes me feel sad cuz they really deserve so much better than this. They're about to reach their 7th anniversary and JYPE doesn't learn anything. I hope the company has decency to understand mistreatment will only lead to bad things. Ahgase is only supporting GOT7, not JYPE. I really hope they can understand it before it gets worse. The fact that 7 out of the 10 songs of the album were written by them should have been a great reason to make a better work, but I guess some CEOs are too full of themselves to see it.

there was no showcase, no MV teaser, the pre-orders were out of stock(???), there were no promotions on the group's ig, two of the members promoted the cb themselves, a "teaser" was released hours before the MV release that didn't even have the members in it, and so much more. GOT7 deserve so much more and don't even get the bare minimum of what they should get.
yugyeom's outfit in the first part (with the hat) looks like something he wears all the time, he seriously just showed up wearing his normal fit and they said yup looks good, we dont gotta give yugyeom a new outfit, we are so thrfty. just goes to show
Listen, I'm a stay and I agree there's something absolutely evil about the way div 2 is managing GOT7. It's so bizarre to contrast the treatment their labelmates get with the treatment they get. It's so disrespectful to a group that's so talented that's brought them so much notariety. My favourite comebacks from GOT7 are coincidentally the ones where they produced the songs themselves and I really hope JB can start getting the same support 3racha get in making songs because he really has a gift for it.
When PD rants in 8:16 and says "It's in the company's best interest to support the group", I relate so much. It doesn't even make sense how they do this to the group that brings the most money when it comes to global sales, global tours, global merch... They have GOT7, a group that keeps breaking records every comeback, that debuts on billboard, gets #1s on iTunes worldwide.... but they do this to them. Most shows in the US that invited them did so because ahgases kept requesting. Fans even pay for the ADS to promote the comeback, otherwise most kpop fans, even if they're multis, don't even know got7 is coming back.
It is in the company's best interest to support GOT7 and any company's best interest to support its artists, because they're the ones who really rake in the money. With GOT7, a part of it is that the company has realized that GOT7 is a big enough group that, no matter how little they invest into their activities, they'll still profit a lot. So they cut costs with the group, reuse sets, refuse opportunities, don't give them any ads or promotion at all. They went super bare bones with this comeback especially. They know that no matter what GOT7 puts out, fans, especially international fans will eat it up.
Another part is that certain people within the company have a vendetta against some of the members. You might think I'm exaggerating but don't you think it's interesting that anytime GOT7 has anything to do with their comeback creatively, their budgets seem to drop off? Factor into it how some people in the company have treated GOT7 publicly, and other accounts from the members, and it starts to look like they are being targeted within the company. Especially if you compare them to others in the company.
Bruh. As someone whose been following and supporting them since debut I’ve been wondering for a long fucking time... like me and my friends have been messaging each-other for years “got7 deserves better”

Agree, the album represents each GOT7 member sonically and stylistically, and PD may like some and not all songs.
FYI: In a previous video, PD explained all labels are blocking album listening parties so they (PD) will not upload listening parties on YT or Patreon anymore (or if uploaded, then it will be without audio to avoid copyright strike). They did end up changing the scenes in the MV due to YoungJae neck injury originally there were more group dance scenes supposed to be shot but because of his disc injury they ended up doing the solo shots also the injury is why YoungJae is only in the very beginning and during final chorus. the members did say the 2 MV were supposed to be connected so guess that has something to do with using some of same sets/locations but I don’t know how much of that is cause that’s what they wanted or all JYPE was willing to do for them hard to know especially with the lack of support Got7 does get considering how much they bring to that company so nothing would shock me anymore

I am actually crying, because everything being said is so true. And we as Ahgases have been saying all of that for years but they way we've been treated with this comeback it's just evident jype doesn't care anymore.
- The album were out of stock when it is pre-orders (It’s not even a week since the comeback)
- We can never forget how Last Piece didn’t have any MV teaser when it is a title track
- They didn’t promote a single thing about this huge comeback on instagram (which is one of GOT7 biggest social media platform) and only started to do so after we pointed it out

I find Last Piece by JB and his Offshore Crew friends SO addictive!!!! So proud of them breaking all JYP records in South Korea, US and worldwide!!! But so unfair that JYP/E NEVER PROMOTES JB'S songs, they deserve so much better!

jyp said that breath and last piece are "organically connected" so they filmed both MVs in that manner but yes, GOT7 really deserves more, they deserve better.

From the recent article of teenVOGUE, I instantly remembered your video so I thought I’d comment this here to clear out things. I also saw it how Youngjae said it. The set was intentional because they wanted to connect it and tie it up with Breath. But I do agree with the reality that JYPE isn’t doing it’s best in promoting GOT7. The boys deserve the world! #justiceforGOT7
PD u basically said everything i was thinking. I was so shocked they used the same set wthhhh but the choreo, editing, and the song still amazing. I liked it first listen but then after like more listens and watches of the MV i was so blown away.

Personally as an ahgase I don't feel insulted, it's actually so satisfying to hear your pointing out the obvious. What you said about the quality of the MV in spite of the budget can actually be said about GOT7's entire career, in spite of JYP/JYPE being out there trying to sabotage their own group, completely incompetent in the way they managed the diamond that is GOT7, our 7 shining stars did such a great job and ahgases too, by supporting at the best of their possibilities, we paid for ads and with GOT7 we did our best to promote them as much as we could every time so I'm really proud of GOT7 and I'm proud of the birds.
The quality of the work, the creativity, the beauty of transitions, all of it is way more appreciable when we know the budget wasn't there. I like to think that having "one" set is not a problem with such skills, of course it would be better if the reason behind it was not their company being trash. After all Breath and Last Piece are the two title tracks of the album. If you look at the paintings, they're representing parts of the set, I know that as a senior group they deserve better but I think that this "team" did show how good they are by focusing on the artistic part and the meaning of the songs and if they can do this with nothing expensive in their hands, I can't imagine what they're able to do if you give them the proper budget.

I can really tell the director really worked hard to compensate for the low budget JYPE provided for them. They took the editing seriously and made it the most beautiful and satisfying ever just to compensate for the low budget constraint,.
The 2 music videos were supposed to be connected. But then, they could've added something grand to "Last Piece" because we've already seen everything in "Breath". And yo, it was indeed the video production team who saved the MVs. I was literally mind blown by the direction and editing. Also, the camera work is sooooo good. I hope GOT7 could work again with the same production team in their future comebacks. The quality's just top-notch.
I don't know if you're aware pd...but ahgases sent a truck to jype company for more than a week to let them know about how they're doing got7 dirty... they're still not fulfilling our demands but at least we're getting some new stuff done as the result..anyways thank u for always speaking the truth...enjoyed your reaction sooo much

at first i did believe what they said but i think they just want to cover up something that people don't need to know but i'm shocked when Youngjae said its been pushed and delayed couple of times. Thats why the comeback was late and its just feels rushed to me bc they have 2 title but the poster, the mv and all the promotion its like the rushing type bc they make mistake here and there you can see it. Its pretty obvious to me. I don't know anymore. I want to wait until they spill it themself bc they can't keep it from ahgase for too long 😅

He isn’t the last piece, he didn’t appear in the video because of his neck injury. Ahgase just thought of a way to make his lack of screen time poetic. He said why he wasn’t in the video. Also Jackson wasn’t in breath until the last minute, which is also weird. Should we say there’s a poetic reason behind that too?

agreed. the video is well made, but taking a step back, after hearing what PD said... isn't it GOT7 themselves? they have the VISUAL and the TALENT (choreo&song&vocals). Like, the choreo is a BLESSING to this camerawork. they all go hand in hand meshing together to create something so special. and the music & vocals? it was freaking good. I dont think the video would be the same (even with the great camerawork) if it wasnt for the enticing choreo and song itself. the music just SLAPS HARD.

I was actually surprised too that the sets where the same, but I actually like it. It looks like a continuation I LOVE THIS MV
We never hate someone more than JYPE. They sabotage our Album sales. The provide limited number of albums to us and despite how much we request to restock album , they never restocked so we can't sales higher in first week. JYPE provide 15M views from as only to other artist, we don't even get 3M for breath from ads. All the views are by Ahgases streaming video without sleeping for days. JYP has some high issues with Jaebeom since Last Piece get ads even less that breath. I don't know where they will lead us. Jin young said they want to ruin GOT7. Despite all the shit GOT7 is only group in JYPE history who chart 1 on US iTunes with this comeback. That's how powerful they are, If any other group get this freaking least to least thing they will never shine to the level where are GOT7. The main reason for their charting are Ahgases especially Thai Ahgases.
