- is it a late video? technically yes, but it's still a wednesday in my time zone so i am going to say that it's not! here is a little dorm tour of both inside and outside my dorm room. also for future swat friends who are interested in what dorm i live in, i live in the d/well complex. all the dwell dorms look the same, except for danawell central but otherwise, this is what you would expect from a typical swat dorm. enjoy!

Hi Seo! I’m a new viewer so I apologize if you’ve addressed this before, but I was surprised to see that you get to have a cat in your room. Does Swarthmore allow students to keep pets in residence halls?
there are some exemptions! and some dorms are animal-free so as long as u live in the right place, ur good :)

great video! do you have any advice for getting work done in one’s own room? i am in college and right now am able to go to the library to get work done, but am taking summer classes virtually so will need to get stuff done in my room (library hours at my hometown aren’t the best). i find it so hard to focus in my room and i don’t associate it with work

hey see! do u have any tips for keeping a cat in a dorm (besides the few litter tips u gave)? I'm getting an ESA cat next semester and I haven't really found good info:-(
1. make sure you keep your room and your cat very clean! i always keep my window open, i clean my cat's paws and butt after she poops, i brush her teeth every night, and i frequently wipe down the surfaces in my room to keep it from smelling like cat. that plus litter genie, tidy breeze, and room sprays are a god-send.
2. lots of mental stimulation! i take my cat on walks, bring her new things to smell, have a variety of toys, give her supervised wandering time in safe areas, and i even got a lick mat and a food-trapping toy to keep her mentally stimulated. i also teach her tricks regularly so she stays busy.
3. save all your forms and documents and organize them well! you never know when the school will randomly want them.
4. the personality of the cat also really matters! my cat is very sedentary, prefers being the only cat, and really dislikes large and/or open spaces. that makes her a very good cat for dorm living. if your cat is very active, needs other cats / lots of people, or lots of space, dorm living may not be the best fit.

Isn’t it a really tight space to keep a cat? I mean apartments can already be a bit too small for cats, but a dorm room?
she's free to visit every other room in my dorm block, i take her out on walks, and i also take her to new areas for supervised wandering time! she's also a very sedentary cat and dislikes large, wide spaces.

I remember I ask you if you wanted to get a cat and you didn't know if you were allowed to have a pet with you.
Avery time I see your cat I am happy because I love cats and I have one with me in my apartment. It helps me so muck with the stress university can cause.

nope! she goes to all the rooms within my dorm's block, and i take her on walks!
