🤦♂️ sumtimes i jus dont understand there input on certain topics like if the offense was stale last year and DC kinda understood our offense and there was reports last year that hurts went to sirianni or whoever to change things up why would hurts be mad to learn and change the offense now
The problem w/ Jeff’s comment about only keeping 2 TEs on the 53 man bc of the PS rules is that you’re kind of screwed if 1 of the 2 TEs - especially Goedert - get injured early in the game. For that reason I can’t see them having less than 3 on the 53.
On the show, we mentioned that you would have one of those TEs called up from the practice squad for the game so that you carried at least 3 on game day.
@@InsideTheBirds Go look at every PS elevation last year. Other than Siposs the 1st 2 weeks, all were done b/c of an injury to a player @ that position already on the 53 man, never to provide depth at position where they're light. Tha'ts because you can only elevate that PS player 3x before either signing him to the 53 or subjecting him to waivers.
If it goes well this year on offense there’s a very good chance Jalen will be learning another scheme next year or the year after if Kellen gets a head coaching job. I don’t think Sirianni keeps his job if there’s not a decent play off run. They’ll want someone who owns their own scheme.
On Hurts, if you think about it, 2023 was one of few times he returned to the same Offense and he regressed - now whether it was Brian Johnson’s lack of creative Play Calling it was basically the same Offense as 2022 ..
2022 was the year he returned to the same offense….and the Eagles went to the SB. 2023 was a ‘power struggle’ between Brian Johnson and Sirianni. That offense looked nothing like the year before.
Good Fathers Day week .. Hard to believe it’s getting on mid-June already What’s the status at TE Position ? Are any of the other Players after Goedart showing well thus far ? Thnx
Hurts’ comments means nothing lol when will the media finally understand these players & coaches in Philly love to make the media speculate 😂 this organization really cares about keeping everything in-house… & I mean everything, and that’s fine. Hurts isn’t the type of guy to go up there and give us a Russell Wilson answer
What you're saying is exactly what we referred to when we said Hurts has never been one to shovel the ... feces. He tends to keep his thoughts to himself and not expand much, which we noted.
@@InsideTheBirds 100%, this wasn’t aimed towards you guys at all. But other members of media & fans tend to blow things out of proportion a lot lol I know that won’t ever change in Philly, it’s just exhausting.
Who knows what matters, in terms of what Hurts says about Nick, or doesn’t say about Nick, but I think it can be agreed upon by just about everyone that those two guys aren’t “2 Peas in a Pod” anymore. It’s an odd year, the Eagles have an offensive HC, yet the team isn’t running his offense, and it’s speculated that it makes Nick a lame duck, especially if they don’t meet expectations. Plus I think fans remember Doug’s last season with different coaches coming in to put their stamp on the offense, which led to Doug getting fired. Long story short, I know I’m not the only fan who sees a potential disaster coming in 2024.
Great show guys! Was out of the country and was excited for today's show to get caught up!

They've done it before (carried only 2 at one point) and got lucky.
