What a great interview. When we are passionate about something it's not work. I'm going to have to listen to some of the music that was discussed. Widen my horizon. I will definitely put the Masters of Malt on my to do list. There is no substitute for comparative tasting to explore taste profiles.
I really love listening to these shows that Sam goes on. I am learning so much about whisky and the taste, and you blend it to music. I'm in awe about how passionate you get. I learn more about Sam and whisky. That I can't find. I am amazed. With you both. Thank you.

😊 I just went back and watched the podcast again. When I saw the picture, I remembered this and listening to these two men, I was amazed. I really found out so much about how much he knew about Whisky, Tequila, Gin, liquor itself. I see him in a different light. 😂 he is amazing. I wish I could just talk to him and get to know him. But so does everyone. For some odd reason he has stolen a piece of this old ladies heart. Never had that happen. Thank you. ❤

I love interviews of this caliber…given serious questions, Sam relaxes and takes time to explore subjects that help the listener get to know him better. He is a multilayered man, with so much enthusiasm. There’s not a speck of pretentiousness or posturing about him either. He exudes a genuine quality and seems comfortable conversing with anyone about pretty much anything. Of course, whisky is one of his favorite subjects, and he can talk about it endlessly. Delightful interview!

Never had a sip of whiskey in my life.. even though I spent a 3 week honeymoon in Scotland and visited many a distillery ( and ancient golf course ) with someone who does relish a dram once in a while.. and yet I enjoyed this very much. Always learn something from people passionate about a subject. Thank you very much.

Sam describes his ‘Sassenach’ Whisky with such passion, the first time I sampled it was Christmas Eve 2021. It knocked my socks off! I was watching Sam & Graham enjoying a dram or two sitting by a roaring log fire, being a virgin Whisky drinker I was has high as a kite and seeing four gorgeous Men in Kilts the best Christmas present ever, I should have taken Sam’s advise for the less hardened drinker add a splash of water to it, it brings out all the delicious yummy flavours in that rich golden amber liquid, I would recommend whisky & country music 🎶 they make great partners like Jamie & Claire, 😘 Cheers 🥂 from a Sassenach english rose 🥀

Awesome to listen to these two knowledgeable gentlemen - great whisky talk, lot over my head but interesting. Also Sam introduced me to two Scottish musicians, Nutini's Through the Echoes is so melodic and Blackbird is just brilliant, what a musician. Wish I lived in Scotland, although it's a bit cool over there I noticed - 8, 6, 4 even, when it's 36 here in nth Qld, with a thunderstorm just gone through. Thanks again.

This is such a personal interview with Sam Heughan. So relaxed with new conversation. Also, I loved hearing Sam's last name pronounced correctly with the Scottish accent. Brilliant!

I’m from Kentucky and lemme tell you, if you want bourbon we got it in spades. It’s a main pillar of our state economy (like our horse industry, it’s all about the massive limestone deposits our state sits on). I’m definitely biased but the local bourbons we have here that do not get exported are absolutely phenomenal. We really keep the best bourbons for ourselves. It’s also a popular craft to make housewares out of bourbon barrels and I actually know someone who hand makes guitars out of bourbon barrels. Bourbon is our way of life.

Sam should get into mezcal! I think he would appreciate it as the whisky of Mexico, meant to be sipped slowly like whisky, and often smokey, quite different from tequila.
