    So happy to have you back - you’ve not missed a beat! Thoroughly enjoyed the entire podcast. Your citrine sweater is so beautiful on you. I especially enjoyed your thought process on selecting a pattern when you already have the yarn. 👍 You are very thoughtful and mindful, which I appreciate.

    I laughed out loud when you said you need more cardigans!😂 I knit all the sweaters and crochet the cardigans. You’re right…..it’s the purl 😂

    So wonderful to spend some time with you and hear about all the goings-on! Your Citrine is gorgeous. Also, I would love to hear about Drop Shoulder sweaters you think fit well, as opposed to the Stripe Hype.
    I will totally accept the label YARN NERD 🧶🤓

      Thanks for spending some time with my Hailey! I’m glad you weren’t offended by my yarn nerd comment because I totally meant it lovingly. 😅
      The ones that I’ve knit that fit really well across the size ranges are Building Blocks Drop by Aimee Sher and Tendreil by Sophie Hemings for worsted weight and Stick Season by Rebecca Clow for DK weight. I know Rebecca has even knit a “stickless” version. But once you’ve knit one pattern that has proper shaping, it’s pretty easy to apply to others as well. Even the Stockholm sweater that I’ve knit seems to have a pretty good fit although not as much shaping as others, but I happened to knit the wrong size for myself since it was my first time knitting the style of sweater.

    Your Citrine Jumper is stunning! I knitted a sleeve on my Wave of Change Jacket while watching. 🧶

      This is definitely the year of the cardigan for me. After I finished my April Cardigan, I just need to keep going.

      Thank you Becky!! I was definitely rusty and needed to dust off some mental cobwebs, but I think I'll get back in the swing of things in no time. 🥰

      Oh that's awesome! We'll see how far I get on it before the next episode, though I'm not thinking it'll be too far in just a couple of weeks. You'll need to let me know how yours is coming along then. 😊

    Great to catch up with you Mia! Glad you're getting settled in. Love your Citrine sweater. Lovely socks for your grandparents. Yes to all the cardigans lol - I'm definitely joining the MAL! Having knit more drop shoulder, a saddle shoulder, and basically any bottom-up garment, or top-down in pieces, I've been purling a lot more and don't mind it as much as I did in years past! Hooray for more options that I can enjoy! Take care and talk soon friend!~Stephanie
    P.S. - For the two lonely DK skeins, maybe Classic Ribbed Hats (can't remember what the yardage is for the skeins you have)??

    • @KnitandGrace
      @KnitandGrace  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for spending some time with me Stephanie! ❤️ I agree that we need more options and cardigans are just so versatile. Buttoned up, they're a sweater and open, they're a layering piece. Can't wait to see what patterns you end up knitting. I'll definitely look into the Classic Ribbed Hat, I can't believe I still haven't knit one!

    Love your podcast- very coincidentally I had just bought the pattern and cast on the April sweater as I was watching your video and then you picked it! Lol. I also am using stash yarn for this cardigan

      Thank for watching…what a wonderful coincidence! I’ve spent the weekend knitting on mine and managed to separate for the sleeves. ☺️

    Congrats on the move and the downsizing, no easy feat! Though when I first saw the video it looked pretty much like your other set up and I wondered if you had moved at all. I seem to be in the accessories at the moment while I contemplate some spring/summer garments. Just finished some really warm socks for next winter and have since cast on another lighter pair, ran out of yarn for a Manhattan hat right as the decreases began (!!) but the yarn should be here in a few days. Also just finished a Cheslie hat. Looking forward to the knit and chat.

      You've definitely been a busy bee with the accessories! They are just so great for this time of year when I think we all have that burst of energy to get things done. While our bedroom is about half the size of the old one (hence being much closer to the camera), I was able to set it up in mostly the same way due to the layout. I'm hoping to get a nice area in the studio going for future podcasts though (that's a bit less cramped for me as I'm filming) once I'm fully unpacked and have the time to decorate the space. Thanks for taking the time to catch up with me!

    Yay, so happy you're back! I'm planning to knit the Timepiece Cardigan by Albiona McLochlainn this year which I think is similar in it's construction and is more of a v neck. I have narrow shoulders and I've heard a cardigan with a v neck is better fitting for someone like me! Looking forward to seeing your April Cardigan. I would love to knit a black sweater!!

    • @KnitandGrace
      @KnitandGrace  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love the look and feel of the Timepiece and it was one that I would consider if it weren't for the raglan shaping for myself. I hope yours turns out to be everything you're looking for!

      @@KnitandGrace I will let you know! I've learned so much about shaping from you! I am almost done knitting the Soft Structure for Adults raglan from Jennifer Parroccini and it fits really well so I'm hopeful....but I will definitely be watching your channel for the April Cardigan.

    Hi Mia, lovely to see you and your podcast! I am knitting the Novice Cardigan by Petite Knit with Onling Shetland wool light sport held with Onling kid silk mohair. My first sweater😄 Which I am guessing will take me a while but its knitting up nicely. I love your format for the year. Its relaxing and feel no pressure to knit everything. The April Cardigan is on my list as well. Do wips count in the MAL cardigan, do u know?

    • @KnitandGrace
      @KnitandGrace  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Maria, thank you for spending some time with me! WIPs so count for the MAL so you're definitely able to enter in your Novice Cardigan. I've heard it's a really great, simple pattern so perfect for your first sweater. 😊
