Hi Rick, great videos. General question about 7 stroke rolls on an 8th note. Sometimes it's a triplet, but other times it starts a 16th earlier making it like a dotted 8th. Also, are all drags measured 32ths in this style (Instead of being crushed)? Thanks Rick!
Usually one take. I do it all live and I am almost always in a time crunch. I do practice them beforehand obviously. When I do a series, I record several of the solos in one session. Thats why you see me wearing the same clothes.

I'm sure he could. Philly Joe had great technique and was a huge fan of rudimental drumming like this.
