I love how you used the box with parchment paper! Absolutely brilliant! I do not like any fruitcake except for my Mom's no bake. This is close to hers. Thank you for sharing your recipe!❤
My family puts this in mini loaf pans. However, I like to put it in lined muffin tins, and refrigerate. Later I take them out of the tin and sit on a platter. They are so difficult to cut and enjoy. This way you can just grab a cupcake liner filled with this deliciousness and go.
Thanks for sharing your family’s version of a no bake fruitcake based with graham crackers, canned milk, nuts, and the fruits, etc. so you used black walnuts did you say? I imagine that adds a bit different flavor, sounds nice , instead of pecans or english walnuts for a change... each one adds a bit different twist on the flavor.
I love the ingenuity that your grandmother used putting her recipe in the original graham cracker box. Thank you for sharing your special recipe. I forgot to ask but you drain the cherries correct? What size jar? Thank you. I’m looking forward to making this for a Christmas gift for my best friend. Hopefully she’ll like as well as she does my baked fruitcake. Just curious if you can soak the fruit in brandy or rum first and also what is the shelf life in the refrigerator? Just curious how long is it still good for a Christmas gift? Just wanted to know how soon I need to make your recipe?

I'm so happy you posted this, my auntie used to make a similar fruit cake. I've been looking for a recipe like this for every ❤
You are so welcome!

Great idea!
I don't like the old fashioned fruit cake either. I can't wait to try this new way. God bless you.
Hope you enjoy

Yea din the cherries. The recipe calls for 1/2 pound of candied cherries I just use what ever jar I can find closest to 16oz. More or less.
It will keep for around a week in the fridge. I even freeze some in slices to have later in the season! I hope you like it.
First time seeing one made with melted marshmellos., why the box instead of a pan?
That is just how she always made it. My thought was it didn’t take a pan out of use for a while, but I really don’t know.
