Trinkets and block??? Josephus writes about how ancient structures were cut down and the debris was used as landfill in other areas. So trinkets could have come from anywhere and moved to other areas; they don't mean anything. Likewise Josephus writes about how the block from the temple were carried off and used for other structures. So we don't know the original location of any loose blocks we might find; they don't mean anything either.
@@karinkarger8726 Those are interesting. They help confirm the existence of those priests. But it really says nothing about where the temples were built. You need to find immovable archeological objects to give evidence of where the temple was built, like Hezekiah's tunnel, or maybe some reliable historical documents that specify the location with respect to places we can presently identify.
I love all this discussion on the temple. I was in Israel in 2015. The first thing I did was to ignore all the Catholic holy sites. I looked for true Biblical locations. Thank you for discussing all the location theories and what Scripture says. I love all the discussion of Scripture.
I just hear a lot of it must be and not here is why. I don't have a horse in the game but it's obvious the only thing you have to go off of is "Tradition". Tradition based off experiences from hundreds of years after the Temple stood. Trumpeting Stone could have been on the 600ft walkway between FT Antonia and the Temple. The stairs? If it was Ft Antonia It would have needed stairs too. The Living Water Source to the Temple is non existent until Harods time when the Roman's built an Aqueduct from Solomons Pool. Do you honestly believe the Roman's built an Aqueduct to the Temple out of the kindness of their hearts? Or was that water for their fort? Think about it. Common sense. I'm not saying the Temple was, or was not, on the Temple Mount. Simply that you have provided no evidence it was. Just repeating it was and saying Tradition says over and over does not suffice.
It's amazing that those huge stones are still there where they fell after the Romans destroyed the temple. I didn't know about the steps leading up to the temple, two short steps and one large step. That's amazing to see that. Mind boggling.
Herod expanded Fort Antonia too so there are herodian stones there. Antonia completely obscured the Temple complex from the north. The romans wouldn't destroy their own barracks.
Entitled to the truth. True worship is in spirit and truth. I don't blow smoke up the ass of the general public but I might make an exception in your case.
I thank you two gentlemen from the very bottom of my heart for quashing the doubt sneaking into my soul regarding the true location of the Temple of Hashem. My paternal grandfather's sister I'm am certain rests in the afterlife more contentedly because her name was Nicanor. As you know that is the name of the doorway in the gallery that when open one could see the Holy Temple beyond.
The stair theory is tosh. Castle stairs were often off pace to keep new comers unsteady and the regulars faster. I do agree with you as far as the location of the temple
Matthew 24:2 But He responded and said to the, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down. Now either you don't understand what Josephus said or someone is lying! And as Yahshua can not lie.... Well! My point is that you have an entire wailing wall that you tell me has been standing since that time. And when Yahshua HaMashiach speaks and has it recorded for us, you can take that to the bank. Not one stone upon another, not except for this wall! No; Not one stone upon another.
Go watch their other video about this. There are other Herodian era walls in Jerusalem still standing. Even a wall from Hezekiah's time. So either Jesus was lying when he said no stone left on top of another, or he was walking about the Temple itself (which was what the disciples had just asked him about). There are zero stones standing on top of each other from the temple. The retaining wall of the Temple Mount is not the Temple.
In the Holy Bible Matt24;2 Jesus does say all the buildings will be demolished not one stone will be upon another. Another words the buildings were destroyed and some of the upper parts of the Jerusalem wall was torn down but later rebuilt.
Do you guys know where this is? There was also an occult passage built for the king; it led from Antonia to the inner temple, at its eastern gate; over which he also erected for himself a tower, that he might have the opportunity of a subterraneous ascent to the temple, in order to guard against any sedition which might be made by the people against their kings. @@phearlesspharaoh3697 From the approach they're using, it doesn't seem as though they are trying to prove or disprove any one idea or person, but rather looking at the evidence and seeing what conclusion it points to without being swayed by any previous ideas or assumptions. In fact, at first it seemed that their analysis was indicating his ideas might be correct. Then the evidence against it started to stack up. It's not at all that they are calling him a liar, they are simply analyzing that evidence and drawing the conclusion that he was mistaken in his hypothesis. That's just part of being a researcher and/or scientist; you do your studies and draw your conclusions based on the evidence, but other researchers can look at that evidence and/or other evidence that leads them to a different conclusion. It doesn't mean ANYONE is lying, it just means one of the conclusions is wrong. Also, it seems to me, however, that Cornuke is the one calling people liars; he's the one who said of another researcher that is supposedly his friend that they know the truth but won't admit it because of the way they would be ostracized. It becomes unfalsifiable; if the guy denies it, he's just doing exactly what Cornuke said he would which doesn't prove Cornuke wrong in any way. The only one who said Cornuke was lying was the guy Cornuke made that claim about.
Jesus said the rebuilt temple comes from the Holy Spirit, since "we" are supposed to be the Temples for the Living God! Satan lives in a dead letter book, also a building built by human or demon hands.... Acts 7:48 However, God doesn’t live in temples made by human hands. ‘The heaven is my throne,’ says the Lord through his prophets, ‘and earth is my footstool. What kind of home could you build?’ asks the Lord. ‘Would I stay in it?

It shouldn't really matter because when Jesus comes back to judge the earth and destroy his enemies and set up his kingdom you will know then without any doubts because he is the God of the old and new testament.

My children found fossilized butterfly's eggs, tiny mammal bones, and sea shells in our backyard. We have bitumen, clay, and obsidian as well. After a long winter, a pond is formed every year behind my backyard and sulfur smell comes out of it through bubbles. Many creatures live in this reserve, about 50 species of birds, thousands kinds of insects, and we have mammals and critters too. We don't know why this reserve is what it is because no government neither natural science authority has declared or assigned, or confirmed identification of the place. Same way with the Ufo's, Big Foot, and the Temple Mount stories. Everyone has an opinion about the Temple Mount but the evidence is always blurry, doubtful, or discredited, always inconsistent with the character of G-d.
1 Chronicles 21:22 And David said to Ornan, “Give me the site of the threshing floor that I may build on it an altar to the LORD-give it to me at its full price-that the plague may be averted from the people. V26 And David built there an altar to the LORD and presented burnt offerings and peace offerings and called on the LORD, and the LORD answered him with fire from heaven upon the altar of burnt offering. 1 Chronicles 22:1 Then David said, “Here shall be the house of the LORD God and here the altar of burnt offering for Israel.” 2 Chronicles 3:1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to David his father, at the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. This is very clear that Solomon’s temple was built on the threshing floor of Ornan, the Jebusite which is in the City Of David. I find it peculiar that The Israel Guys did not discuss Bob Cournuke’s mention of this threshing floor. It is Bob’s premise for placing Solomon’s temple in the City of David. Is scripture the final authority? Absolutely! It does not matter who says what or who finds what… scripture is the immutable, infallible Word of God and it places Solomon’s Temple on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebustie in the City of David.
What indication is there that the threshing floor was in the City of David? It would make more sense for it to be on Mount Moriah as you wouldn't want a threshing floor contaminating your water source. Mount Moriah was also higher in elevation, so would catch the wind better
@@TheIsraelGuys Did not David conquer the Jebusite City and renamed it the City of David? (2 Samuel 5:6-10). Whether it makes sense or not is not the issue. Does scripture specify where Solomon built the temple? Yes it does! (2 Chronicles 3:1)
So I think this is such great info! … and I’m such a thinker here. What if… 🤔… the place that they found in the old city of David which is claimed to be where according to that guy was the place where they had the temporary place of worship before Solomon built the temple? … because in the Bible it does say that the Ark of the covenant was placed in an area temporarily which is why David wanted to build a permanent place for it?!?! Just here in my thoughts. Any info on this? Could y’all find out? And make a video? Unless I’ve missed it.
Read 1 Chronicles 21-22 and 2 Chronicles 3 and you will see that Solomon built his temple on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebustie which is in the City Of David
I have entered through the wooden bridge to the traditional temple mount, walked through the plaza, seen the blockup Eastern Gate. Seen the stones at the bottom that the Israeli Guys suggest are remains from the second temple but everything indicates no threshing floors but instead the remains shows 36 acres of the ruins of the Antonia Fortress. There are walkways for soldiers next to the walls, stables and trails for horses. The plaza is not flat it has slopes and trees everywhere. The feel one gets when looking down at the blockup Eastern Gate from the top of the mount is that One is inside a military Fortress not on top of Mount Zoriah. Another feeling one gets up there is Pure Evil, the hatred directed toward us from Muslim visiting the Dome of the Rock is real, this place has no feeling of being or ever having been holy or ever could be holy ground.

An archaeological discovery gives weight to the City of David Temple location. The ring of an official named Nathan-meleck was discovered in an area where the West Gate would be if the Temple was indeed in the City of David. Why is this significant? Because Nathan-meleck is mentioned in 2 Kings 23; 11. It mentions "the chamber of Nathan-meleck the official which was in the precincts". "Precincts" was translated from the word Parbar, and we know from I Chronicles 26;18 that Parbar is at the Western entrance to the Temple. So Nathan-meleck's chambers were at the Parbar at the Western Gate of the Temple and his ring was found in the City of David where the Temple West Gate would be...

Not even close to convinced. You didn't take a very balance approach and lists the merits of both arguments. Herod build both the Temple and the Fortress, so they would have had similar construction techniques, including the steps, herodian stones, etc. There are lots of artifacts at every dig site in Jerusalem, so this was not convincing at all. The City of David they've found an actual sacrifice site, which you didn't both to mention. You didn't mention why stables would be present in a temple or why there are so many articles from the 10th Roman Legion, Fretensis present on the tradition site. Better try again.

What about the southern steps leading to the double and triple gate? The steps are designed for prayer significance (not like normal functional steps). What did the first century witnesses say? In the writings of the Roman Historian Tacitus below he said a “spring of never-failing water” came out of the Jewish temple. (The Jews Book Five (1-13) of The Histories by Tacitus ) 12. The Temple was like a citadel and had its own walls, which had been even more laboriously and skilfully constructed than the rest. The porticoes around it constituted in themselves an excellent defensive position. To these advantages must be added a spring of never-failing water, chambers cut in the living rock, and tanks and cisterns for the storage of rainwater. Its builders had foreseen only too well that the strange practices of the Jews would lead to continual fighting. Hence everything was available for a siege, however long. Moreover, after Pompey's capture of Jerusalem, fear and experience taught them many lessons. So taking advantage of the money-grubbing instincts of the Claudian period, they purchased permission to fortify the city, and in the days of peace built walls meant for war. Already the home of a motley concourse, its population had been swollen by the fall of the other Jewish cities, for the most determined partisan leaders escaped to the capital, and thereby added to the turmoil. There were three different leaders and three armies. The long outer perimeter of the walls was held by Simon, the central part of the city by John, and the Temple by Eleazar. John and Simon could rely on numbers and equipment, Eleazar on his strategic position. But it was upon each other that they turned the weapons of battle, ambush and fire, and great stocks of corn went up in flames. Then John sent off a party of men, ostensibly to offer sacrifice but in reality to cut Eleazar and his followers to pieces, thus gaining possession of the Temple. Hence-forward, therefore, Jerusalem was divided between two factions, until, on the approach of the Romans, fighting the foreigner healed the breach between them. In the passage below we find Titus used Fort Antonia as his base of operations on the day the temple was burned during 70 AD. They had previously gained access to the temple by attacking the foundation of Antonia for seven days. (Book 6, Chapter 2, Section 7) This passage proves at least part of Fort Antonia remained intact on the day the Jewish temple was destroyed. From War of the Jews, by Josephus, Book 6, Chapter 4, sections 4-5. "4. Now it is true that on this day the Jews were so weary, and under such consternation, that they refrained from any attacks. But on the next day they gathered their whole force together, and ran upon those that guarded the outward court of the temple very boldly, through the east gate, and this about the second hour of the day. These guards received that their attack with great bravery, and by covering themselves with their shields before, as if it were with a wall, they drew their squadron close together; yet was it evident that they could not abide there very long, but would be overborne by the multitude of those that sallied out upon them, and by the heat of their passion. However, Caesar seeing, from the tower of Antonia, that this squadron was likely to give way, he sent some chosen horsemen to support them. Hereupon the Jews found themselves not able to sustain their onset, and upon the slaughter of those in the forefront, many of the rest were put to flight. But as the Romans were going off, the Jews turned upon them, and fought them; and as those Romans came back upon them, they retreated again, until about the fifth hour of the day they were overborne, and shut themselves up in the inner [court of the] temple. 5. So Titus retired into the tower of Antonia, and resolved to storm the temple the next day, early in the morning, with his whole army, and to encamp round about the holy house. But as for that house, God had, for certain, long ago doomed it to the fire; and now that fatal day was come, according to the revolution of ages; it was the tenth day of the month Lous, [Ab,] upon which it was formerly burnt by the king of Babylon; although these flames took their rise from the Jews themselves, and were occasioned by them; for upon Titus’s retiring, the seditious lay still for a little while, and then attacked the Romans again, when those that guarded the holy house fought with those that quenched the fire that was burning the inner [court of the] temple; but these Romans put the Jews to flight, and proceeded as far as the holy house itself. At which time one of the soldiers, without staying for any orders, and without any concern or dread upon him at so great an undertaking, and being hurried on by a certain divine fury, snatched somewhat out of the materials that were on fire, and being lifted up by another soldier, he set fire to a golden window, through which there was a passage to the rooms that were round about the holy house, on the north side of it. As the flames went upward, the Jews made a great clamor, such as so mighty an affliction required, and ran together to prevent it; and now they spared not their lives any longer, nor suffered any thing to restrain their force, since that holy house was perishing, for whose sake it was that they kept such a guard about it." Why was Solomon anointed king of Israel in Gihon? 1Ki_1:38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon. 1Ki_1:45 And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This is the noise that ye have heard. 2Ch_32:30 This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works. All of this provides tremendous evidence that the Dome of the Rock is the true location of Fort Antonia. Josephus said Fort Antonia was built upon a gigantic rock, and that rock is still there today.
Great research and commentary 1 Chronicles 21-22. 2 Chronicles 3 clearly states that Solomon built the House of the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite in the City Of David
The late Israeli archeologist, Eilat Mazar, has presented lots of evidence that the First and possibly the Second Temples, were built in the City of David, and that the tombs of the kings of Judah which were nearby, were destroyed. It's actually quite compelling if you examine the archeological evidence along with what the scriptures say.
If you would want to prove where the original temple stood. Why would you not prove where the Roman fort stood that housed 10,000 people ? That is one of the strongest evidences they give for why the Temple could not have been on top of the Temple mount as you advocate. A 1,500 square foot building certainly couldn't house such an army of a Roman Legion. Nor as you suggest could it have housed even the 500 roman guards !

That Cornuke's teory about Holy Temple location makes non sense at all. I don't know why they keep pulling it. The Holy Temple of YHVH always goes AT the Temple Mount absolutely.
I find Shukron's statement that there is no evidence bizarre. The city of David has temple zero. They have found the greek Acra that was built along side and overlooking the temple. They have the stepped stone structure that supported a monumental building. They have remains of a monumental building above this area that have only been interpreted as David's palace, not proven. Eilat Mazar herself speculated it could be an "unknown" temple. Below this building they found a Phoenician capital that could just as easily be interpreted as attached to the temple (stonecutters from Hiram of Tyre). They have various bullae, including the seal of Natan-Melech who lived at a temple entrance. I won't go on for sake of brevity, but these counter Shukron's claim of no evidence. The stairs below the Haram can very well be interpreted as the same stairs that Paul made his famous speech upon before he was brought into Antonia. We know from the scripture that this was outside the temple gates (they were shut once he was hustled out to be stoned). The model of Antonia shows no steps at all that the Romans could run down but be outside the temple gates. Of course there would be platform for speaking (as we see in the ruins). There had to be enough space for a crowd to gather to hear him. Given that Herod both built the temple (from the foundation up) and repaired and expanded Antonia, we would of course see similar archaeological elements. One of the problems with the temple mount sifting project is that the dirt was not found in situ, but layers were mixed and dumped over several years. As an aside, it would not be unexpected to see priest's seals in Antonia because we are told by Josephus that the fort was used for storage under the priest's seal. Additionally, dirt fill used to expand it likely had remnants of pottery, bones etc. (see what filled up the subterranean pool at the Gihon spring - lots of pottery, bones, very common to find it in rubble fill). Additionally, we know that the Haram had extensive work done during Roman, Crusader, and Muslim periods - rebuilding walls and platforms etc. They could very easily have taken dirt from a destruction layer and moved it there for fill. LOL - the archaeologist says we assume they are from the temple because they come from the temple period, and then one of the interviews says. "It's not a theory, we're talking facts". That is interpretive bias. A good interviewer would have probed the assumptions that the archaeologist uses to interpret - a word carefully chosen to describe the situation. He also made it clear they are a "basis for discussion". I have my own thoughts about the trumpeting stone (again we know Antonia was used for storage) but, suffice it to say that the latest theory is that the stones that archaeologists claim were thrown down form the temple mount may be better explained by an earthquake much later in history - why they are still in situ. You can read about Shimon Gibson's theory on this. I don't insist the City of David theory is correct, just that there is much more to the story than portrayed. There are some things hidden about Zion, whispering from the dust (Isaiah 29).
Like the red heifers that many are raving about it is not that important the new temple that we will next have will be for the anti christ interesting but not important for salvation
@@barriesmith3489 Agreed that these things are not salvation issues. But I don't think the temple will be FOR the AC; rather he takes it over and defiles it with an idol. You cannot defile something that isn't holy. Likewise, the last temple was built from the foundations up by Herod the Great, who tried to kill Jesus. When Jesus gave the parable of the 10 minas, it is understood that the king that went off to a foreign land to be made king (Rome) was Herod. From the temple they likely could see Herodian, which Herod built in part to commemorate where he conquered the Jewish nation, delivering the nation to Rome that would end up killing so many millions. It is funny to me when Christians defend Herodian stones left one atop another at the Haram as if this is something good. It's the work of the man that tried to stop salvation from reaching the world. When Jesus said the temple and Jerusalem would be laid bare to the ground, I believe it. He wept over what he knew was coming and Jerusalem is still the apple of God's eye.
@@barriesmith3489 The Bible calls the third temple the temple of God: if it were being intentionally built for the antichrist or for any evil, then it would be an inherently evil thing and not able to ‘become defiled’ as scripture says this temple will be. Religious Jews honestly do not believe that Yeshua is ha’Mashiach, & although they realize something is missing, in error they think it is that they have no temple in which to practice Judaism as given in Torah. They don’t realize there is now no access to the Father except through the Son. The abomination of desolation will be an event, I believe, that YHVH will use to open many blinded eyes.
Well said. I appreciate the attempts made by these two but we are discussing a city that has been occupied for almost 4000 years and has been destroyed, rebuilt and inhabited by so many different people. To say I found this here, so that means all this, is just straight foolishness. Now, all this is fun.....but what does the Bible say
Micah 3:12 (NKJV): "Therefore because of you Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, And the mountain of the temple Like the bare hills of the forest." Jeremiah 26:18 (NKJV): "Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Zion shall be plowed like a field, Jerusalem shall become heaps of ruins, And the mountain of the temple Like the bare hills of the forest."'" - How do u deal with those passages?

I lean toward the two ancient records that Mount Moriah was Razed Down Into the Valley Side? This House that Solomon Commenced to Build was in Jerusalem as this Scripture clearly reads. Today's so called Temple Mount would have been Outside of Jerusalem in Solomon's Day. And as Ornan was a Jebusite. I Contend that His Threshing Floor was most likely within the City of Jebus. You guys haven't proven anything all you've done is just go over claims and faulty sources none of which prove that the Temple Mount is the true location of Solomon's Temple.
Although I am in agreement that the temple was situated on the temple mount, I am not convinced that the location of the "trumpeting" stone or any of the other stones lying at the foot of the temple mount can be used as evidence; The romans supposedly destroyed the site containing caves claimed to be the tombs of the Davidic dynasty by quarrying it to build Aeolia Capitalina, they would not likely ignore a source of stones closer to hand such as those at the foot of the wall. I think it is more likely that these stones were repurposed, and fell during a later earthquake. I seem to recall a story that there was an earlier attempt to rebuild the temple, and an earthquake overthrew the stones they had already raised...
I was thinking about those rocks too...sounds like a conspiracy....looks like those rocks were placed there, so we tourist will have something to look at and marvel...maybe? Shouldn't the rocks be underneath the ground? The future temple will be demonic and will be place on that mount, not on God's holy place...which may be in the city of David...just a thought. Come Lord Jesus!
Jews that returned to Jerusalem some two hundred years after its destruction could not identify the old location of the Temple. However, apparently you can and on a location that was not inside the city walls of Jerusalem at the time of Solomon. Bob Cornuke tried to enlighten you but you refuse. Oh well, he tried.

The Jews have always known where their Temple stood, as it toward the Temple that Jews are to face when praying, it's Muslims who turn their back to the Temple.

Hi your message was not clear. I still dont know if the top where the Mosque sits is the original Temple site - or below the Flat top or traditional site ?
I was waiting for the part about archeology 😁😁😁 What a privilage to touch artifacts from the Temple. I'm jealous! By the way, what a poor argument it is, to say that Eli Shukrun is afraid to be ostracized by his community. There are enough Israeli archeologists and scholars who make controversial claims, for instance, saying that David and Solomon were small chieftains and that their Jerusalem was an insignificant city. And guess what, they are not being chased out of town with pitchforks.
Not a poor argument. An Israeli guide said to me it is a "dangerous" thing to say. It's highly political and inflammatory, which is why there is so much anger at the City of David theory.
@@elibennett6168 The theory IS political and inflammatory. But did your guide tell you what punishment an Israeli archeologist who adopts it will suffer?
@@elibennett6168 You're welcome 🙂 But didn't your guide say anything about the kind of punishment? All I can imagine is an avalanche of articles both for and against the theory, heated conversations in the cafeteria and heated public debates. Maybe unpleasant but hardly dangerous. Mr. Cornuke talks about ostracization, losing of family, of a job. Now that's too much. Controversial and inflammatory is the bread and butter of Israeli Academy. I've never heard of anyone who was rolled in tar and feathers and whipped out of town for introducing a controversial theory. More than that, I think that Mr. Cornuke's arguement concerning Mr. Shukrun is not just silly but nasty. He puts the professional integrity of someone he calls his friend in doubt. Now, Eli Shukrun is a very important Israeli archeologist. I haven't yet read a book about Israeli archeology where his and his partner Ronny Reich' work was not mentioned. To put his integrity in doubt is a serious accusation. Besides, Mr. Cornuke places Mr. Shukrun at his side, by implying that he agrees with him but is only afraid to admit it. So now he can falsly claim that a very important Israeli archeologist agrees with his theory. That's nasty, and it weakens his theory even more. Truth doesn't need such wily tactics to prove itself.

I believe the stairs they are showing are on the South side of the Temple Mount. The stairs lead to a set of large openings that have been sealed off, but you can still clearly see the outlines.
What is the point? There is no need for the temple. Christians are the temple, and there's no need for sacrifice, because Jesus already did that once and for all. And in the end, the city of God will come down from heaven and we will be with God. Temple no temple, here or there, doesn't matter.

Well done.

Matthew 24:2
But He responded and said to the, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.
Now either you don't understand what Josephus said or someone is lying! And as Yahshua can not lie.... Well!
My point is that you have an entire wailing wall that you tell me has been standing since that time. And when Yahshua HaMashiach speaks and has it recorded for us, you can take that to the bank.
Not one stone upon another, not except for this wall! No; Not one stone upon another.
Your interesting point !

Great content but i won’t be subscribing… they are very divisive by constantly trying to debunk Robert Cornuke, and calling him a liar.

1 Chronicles 21:22
And David said to Ornan, “Give me the site of the threshing floor that I may build on it an altar to the LORD-give it to me at its full price-that the plague may be averted from the people.

And David built there an altar to the LORD and presented burnt offerings and peace offerings and called on the LORD, and the LORD answered him with fire from heaven upon the altar of burnt offering.
1 Chronicles 22:1
Then David said, “Here shall be the house of the LORD God and here the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
2 Chronicles 3:1
Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to David his father, at the place that David had appointed, on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Josephus says the Romans razed the antonia fortress to the ground.
What about the southern steps leading to the double and triple gate? The steps are designed for prayer significance (not like normal functional steps). Why would such steps be placed there if not leading to the temple mount? If the temple mount was actually a Roman fort why would these kinds of steps be put there?

In the writings of the Roman Historian Tacitus below he said a “spring of never-failing water” came out of the Jewish temple.
(The Jews Book Five (1-13) of The Histories by Tacitus )
(Book 6, Chapter 2, Section 7)
This passage proves at least part of Fort Antonia remained intact on the day the Jewish temple was destroyed.
As the flames went upward, the Jews made a great clamor, such as so mighty an affliction required, and ran together to prevent it; and now they spared not their lives any longer, nor suffered any thing to restrain their force, since that holy house was perishing, for whose sake it was that they kept such a guard about it."
Why was Solomon anointed king of Israel in Gihon?
1Ki_1:38 So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.

2Ch_32:30 This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.

1 Chronicles 21-22.

Well said. I Question that Mount Moriah is Where it is Claimed to be Today. Which would be Outside of the Old City. Or City of David, or Jerusalem and not Outside the City at the so called Temple Mount. The stairs... how do you account for Saul being brought UP from the temple to the Roman Fortress by Legionnaires, for his protection, when he was threatened with death by the Temple Guards? (Acts 21:31-37). He was brought UP, the soldiers carrying him UP. Fortress Antonia is NOT the Temple area. It measures 35 acres, one short of the nominal 36 acres a typical Roman Fortress encompassed based upon remnants found in multiple areas around Europe.
The Antonia was a tower, of course there would be stairs. This isn't a problem for the traditional site

So I'm watching this video nine months later. And my question is with all this evidence why won't they go ahead and build the new Temple?
I was waiting for the part about archeology 😁😁😁
What a privilage to touch artifacts from the Temple.
Absolutely
Not a poor argument. An Israeli guide said to me it is a "dangerous" thing to say. It's highly political and inflammatory, which is why there is so much anger at the City of David theory.
@@elibennett6168 The theory IS political and inflammatory. But did your guide tell you what punishment an Israeli archeologist who adopts it will suffer?
@@ShirinFrenkel Thank you for confirming this.
@@elibennett6168 You're welcome 🙂
But didn't your guide say anything about the kind of punishment?
Also Paul was taken by roman guards up stairs and he stopped and spoke to the crowds so the fort was the temple mount

🤔Stairs? I know that there was a ramp on the side, it would be difficult for many to go to the top by just climbing stairs.
The stairs are still there, you can see many of the original stones
They didn’t have elevators, there were even “stairs” in the pyramids. They used a ramp for the Altar so the priest won’t be exposing themselves while going up the STAIRS!! That’s why the way the stairs were built, one big and two short ones. Have you ever visit it??
I believe the stairs they are showing are on the South side of the Temple Mount. The stairs lead to a set of large openings that have been sealed off, but you can still clearly see the outlines.
What is the point? There is no need for the temple. Christians are the temple, and there's no need for sacrifice, because Jesus already did that once and for all. And in the end, the city of God will come down from heaven and we will be with God. Temple no temple, here or there, doesn't matter.
