    You can always look at the EG4-LL SOC value and type that number into your Victron Smartshunt, in order for both to report similar SOC values.

    If you are using the "BMS tools" software it appears that the software will only speak with 1 server rack battery at a time. If it's important to see all your batteries in your server rack at once, the Lifepower4 battery with the "BMS Test" software is apparently a better option allowing you to view all your battery in your server rack.

    • @George_us
      @George_us ปีที่แล้ว +2

      FYI, I have three EG4-LL V1 batteries, and they are all connected via an RS-485 Hub to my laptop, and the BMS_TOOLS can communicate to all three batteries without moving the RS-485 cables. Of course, the software can only display the data from one battery at any time. However, by changing the Pack ID, one can look at the data from whichever battery without moving cables.

    I want to build a mobile onlo run the fridge during our occasional power outage. I was thinking of using the LiFepO4 battery. Would you still recommend it or would you switch to the EG4LL. Most used to run the Fridge or charge the Delta Max 2000. No heavy loads.

    • @diySolarPowerFunWithRay
      @diySolarPowerFunWithRay  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you have no heavy loads I guess the lifepower4 battery would work for you. Are you wanting the 48-volt version? What inverter would you be using with the battery?

      @@diySolarPowerFunWithRay I went and bought the eg4LL battery you have in this video. I also bought the eg4 3k inverter/charger and realized after I received it that I would not be able to charge it via solar as I don't have the solar panels required to produce the voltage. I found a work around and bought a Victron 100/20 that will accept my solar panels and will trickle charge the battery only. All in all I love this battery. I'm learning as I just got into this and it is fun and addictive. Another work around I can use is to charge it with my ecoflow 2000 power stations while I charge them with solar. I know it is not efficient but solar power is free. I really enjoy your channel and am subscribed. Thank you for your hard work.

    Hi Ray! Excellent video! I'm considering one of these batteries so I watched closely!! When you showed the display of battery voltages I was a bit surprised... it doesn't show individual cells, but the cumulative voltages. Isn't that pretty much useless? How do you spot a cell that has slightly out of spec voltage? You can't read each value and use a calculator to subtract! That's just silly! I'm curious what you think about that!! Thanks!

    How long will this battery last with a constant 1500 watt space heater load coming off the EG4 3000 inverter. And how long will the battery last with a constant 750 watt space heater load.

    • @diySolarPowerFunWithRay
      @diySolarPowerFunWithRay  ปีที่แล้ว

      The battery has 5120 watt hours of capacity. so running a 1500 watt load with around 50 growatt idle would be.... 5120wh/1550w = 3.3 hours. minus a bit for 85% - 90% efficiency.... So i'd say just under 3 hours. Half that for the 750 watt space heater.

    It was not clear, you are saying that the EG4LL is the best battery on the market but then you said that if you bought a rack of batteries you would use the EG4 LP4 for that. If the LL is the best battery you have tested why would you not use that for a rack of batteries. Thanks for the great video as I am considering a full battery rack.

    • @diySolarPowerFunWithRay
      @diySolarPowerFunWithRay  ปีที่แล้ว

      For a full rack of batteries, I would get the life power because I would be saving money. About the equivalent of getting an extra battery for my rack. If you have six batteries for your rack, any large loads could be handled fine because the amp draw would be split across all six batteries. If money is not that large of a consideration or if you just want the best, definitely get a rack of LL batteries. Hope that helps. If you buy the LL batteries and use my affiliate links i will mail you some battery protection clips.
