After learning of Compton's most wanted in this interview recorded in march of 2012, he would go on to work with none other than MC Eiht from that same album on a song you might know, "m.A.A.d City" It's crazy that nardwaur introduced him to that.
The Tam's they mentioned in this interview is the same one KDot and Mustard visit in the "Not Like Us" video (Rosecrans and Central). If you look on Google Maps you'll also see Louisiana Chicken is right across the street, and Rite Aid and Food 4 Less are also nearby.
I love how at 6:42 it's just straight up music appreciation from K dot and Nardwuar. Just appreciating each other for providing knowledge. Nothing like two legends talking to each other about music that they love.
I think the best part about this interview is that Kendrick started implementing most of the stuff they talked about in his music. The Album Cover, Compton Swap Meet, The Chicken Spot, a song with U2 etc. Maybe Nardwuar is God in disguise
Ha, I was just thinking after Nardwuar mentioned Bill Gates having Bono from U2 sleep over at his house, "fast forward to DAMN. and Kendrick has Bono as a feature on "XXX.""
Watching this now, this interview hits even harder now that we know what Kendrick is being blown away by. I'm especially impressed by Nardwuar for finding out about all of that.
I wonder why he tried to make it so clear that there's a white guy in there. Couldn't find anything on him btw. Kendrick seems to have ignored it entirely.

How
Jose Bonilla Kendrick is way more mature now
How so? Like kendrick being different ?
3:42 - 4:06 Nardwar knew about DUCKWORTH. "I order the THREE PIECE" this is crazy
J H except duckworth aint about louisiana chicken but kfc
Julian Mächler, he said kfc to not single out his neighborhood
@@jacksonmilan1062 Louisana fried chicken in Compton.
Here after the Drake disses. Legendary. KING KENDRICK
''Who are you?''
''Kendrick Lamar''
''Kengik Lemar, welcome to Austin, Texas!''

This interview makes me respect Kendrick even more. He so humble and chill, there are so many rappers out there that act tough
After learning of Compton's most wanted in this interview recorded in march of 2012, he would go on to work with none other than MC Eiht from that same album on a song you might know, "m.A.A.d City"
It's crazy that nardwaur introduced him to that.
I'm so fucking glad he asked him about j roc from the trailer park boys that shit killed me lmao
He did for real?Do you know at what time in the video that was?
naw i forget but he asked him its funny af

+Herrera Feenatics we all know which j-rock is the more well known here.
I like to watch this interview because it shows how Kendrick has grown
"You could have a sleepover with U2!"
"I'm good on that haha"
Few years down the line and he's got a U2 feature on his album
Nardwuar lowkey given him inspirations for his future albums. He's a prophet.

@@Adrian-gp7me brooo you didnt have to do him like that
@@zackzallie8735 he wouldn't have asked about U2 if there hadn't been a backstory I'm sure. Kendrick seemed a little uncomfortable
Man. Kendrick is just such a lovable dude. Every interaction he has is met with a smile and laugh and just positivity. He’s hard not to love, ya know?
Nardwuar's the same tbh, they're a great duo
I love how at 6:42 it's just straight up music appreciation from K dot and Nardwuar.
Just appreciating each other for providing knowledge. Nothing like two legends talking to each other about music that they love.
10:18 , when you're legit worried what nard REALLY knows lol
😂😭🤣
I think the best part about this interview is that Kendrick started implementing most of the stuff they talked about in his music. The Album Cover, Compton Swap Meet, The Chicken Spot, a song with U2 etc. Maybe Nardwuar is God in disguise
Also one of the records he showed kendrick had 'mad' spelt as 'maad' could just be coincidence tho
Ha, I was just thinking after Nardwuar mentioned Bill Gates having Bono from U2 sleep over at his house, "fast forward to DAMN. and Kendrick has Bono as a feature on "XXX.""
Also the song duckworth

Watching this now, this interview hits even harder now that we know what Kendrick is being blown away by. I'm especially impressed by Nardwuar for finding out about all of that.
I love Nardwuar’s interviews he seems to bring out the real personality of who he’s interviewing and it just sees so authentic
He connects with them...and they drop their guard...sometimes bringing out their inner child/childhood memories
One of if not Nardwuars best interview imo. Him and Kendrick bounce off each other so well, hope they do another one
I love how suspicious Kendrick sounds at some points in the interview lmao.
he definitely kinda looked at him like he knows a little too much
This shit just makes me so happy. Seeing a young happy Kendrick. I hope he manages to get back there
With his new album

Every old video of Kendrick getting recommended after the drake drama is wild
"The white guy, the white guy, the white guy from Compton's most wanted" 😂😂😂
I wonder why he tried to make it so clear that there's a white guy in there. Couldn't find anything on him btw. Kendrick seems to have ignored it entirely.
@@justsumdude7437his name is Ant Capone

@ not really sure. I don’t think Kendrick knew him?
Kendrick is so different now but in a good way, everything about him has matured it's so cool looking back at him and seeing him now
kendrick changed alot
