For anyone else having problems with turning on the electrics, you just push and HOLD for a few seconds and a green light will come on. Great video! I'm getting one of these Pro versions too. I've got a concert size Nova but want a tenor - mine is in Purple! This makes me very happy.
I don’t watch unboxing videos, but I watched this video, because it is NOT AN UNBOXING VIDEO. I have the same uke, without the electronics. I quite like the sound of it. It gets to lay around in the house, not have to worry about bumping it . I actually play it more often than my other ukes.
Thanks Joseph. Yep, definitely not an unboxing video! 😂 I'm really impressed by the sound of it too. I've just put a new set of my favourite flourocarbons on it and it sounds great. Plays really well too. I got it for the same reason as you. Something that could just be left lying around the house and not worry about it getting knocked. It's a bonus that it's a surprisingly good uke to play too! 😀👍
Ha ha, I absolutely love that! My wife is a total dog lover so I'm going to use your quote next time I'm trying to convince her that it's ok for me to have "just one more uke" 😂 I think it might make all the difference!
I think the second box was my favorite. This uke's a bit different from what we usually see you play. What caught your interest with it? Sounds very nice by the way. Clear and articulate tone.
Ha ha, yes that second box definitely made it harder to justify that this wasn't an unboxing video! 😂 I really just got it as a beater uke that I could leave lying around the house. I liked that this model had a 38mm nut and nice wide string spacing. Now I've put a new set of flourocarbons on it I'm actually quite impressed by the sound, considering it's a cheap non-wood instrument.
@@UkuleleSolos ahh, I see! I've considered buying a non-wood instrument myself, that I don't need to worry about when it comes to temperature and humidity. That makes perfect sense. I look forward to the full review, maybe this should be something I unbox in my own house some time 😂
Still haven't got around to making it yet!! Thanks for the reminder though 😀 But, I can tell you that it's a great uke. I love it. Just taken it away on holiday with me and it was absolutely perfect for that.
Great (not) unboxing video Steven 😄 I am curious about your impressions of fluorocarbon strings on it. I've heard an opinion that fluorocarbons are great for decent wood instruments, but not for plastic or cheap ones as it basically makes them sound "plasticky". Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy your new ukulele 😊
Thanks Joanna! I've heard the same thing about flourocarbons on plastic ukes but I guess it's a very subjective thing. I wasn't keen on the D'addario titaniums it came strung with so I put a set of my go to fluorocarbons on (living waters) and they sound amazing (to me anyway). More volume, more sustain and more complex harmonics. They do sound quite bright but then a plastic uke is always going to be on the bright side and I like that anyway so it's all good. It's still early days but I'm impressed with it so far for the price.
@@UkuleleSolos good to know. Maybe I will eventually give them a try too. I've been trying various strings, and Titaniums didn't last three songs on my uke 😄 (well, I don't know how much they would last because I took them away). So far I like the Aquila Sugar - they seem adequate to my soprano.
@@joannajewstrat9481 yes, I've tried those aquila sugars before. I liked them. It can be an expensive business but it's pretty fun trying out different string sets.

Thank you for unsheathing the beast! Great non-unboxing video too. You play really well!
Ha ha, you're most welcome 😀
Thank you for your comment, glad you enjoyed it! 👍🤙
You can always return it at Amazon....some dealers you can't! And in Canada, not many dealers, if any, carry them.
You know, ukuleles are pack animals and should never kept alone 😁

I am looking forward to your review video later.
Thanks Ryan! Not sure when I'll get round to it but it'll be out at some point.
Great video!!
Thanks so much! 😀👍🤙
How do you charge this
It comes with a usb cable.
Where is the followup video
?
Still haven't got around to making it yet!! Thanks for the reminder though 😀
But, I can tell you that it's a great uke. I love it. Just taken it away on holiday with me and it was absolutely perfect for that.
it looks like....should be pressed the button for a while to turn on the Acoustic Plus, I don't know, maybe
Yes, it's exactly that. I worked it out after I had filmed the video. How to look like an idiot in front of the whole world!! 😂
@@UkuleleSolos 😂never
How do you keep it for charging.. I bought it just now and i am trying to figure it out

Yeah, but it’s e-a-s-y to return at Amazon.
Thanksgiving is approaching anyway.... justifiable to give yourself a threat
Ha ha, yes..... and who knows what I'll treat myself to for Christmas..... and also for new year! 😂
NOT A SINGLE REVIEWER : Open it up, look at electronics, try to replace the battery..
