Homecoming was literally the most Spiderman movie. It literally felt like it was a comic book story, lol. Peter's personality, him struggling with his problems, helping his neighborhood, trying to stop vulture and his gang secretly, swinging for fun etc. these are literally what spiderman does. And the posters also felt like Spider-Man (not talking about the ones where there's the other characters)

When I watch Homecoming, I get Silver Age Spidey vibes.
I feel like Tom spidey needs more recognition because he is actually very comic accurate spider-man except the suit part (not taking about the new red and blue suit but the stark suits) but like I said he is very accurate for a spider-man in today's society and that even stan lee pointed out that Tom is the very comic accurate spidey.
He's missing like half the shit. He doesn't have a short temper, and is way to child like. Also, Peter despises Tony to a certain degree despite being on solid terms with him. Also, Peter has way more edge and angst then what is portrayed in Tom's movies

@Matts3dbuilds OK so? Ultimate Spiderman literally one of the most, if not the greatest, Spiderman run, was 15. He still had a temper, and while somewhat childlike, he acted his age appropriately . No 15 year old behaves how Tom does. Ultimate Peter was 15, but he still kept the same traits that made peter, Peter. Look at other examples as well, yall hate the ultimate spiderman show, but character wise he's almost one to one, despite being a little to egotistical and obnoxious, but the core traits are still there. Same with spectacular spiderman and he does it better as well

MCU Spiderman is the best! That Superman ref from Raimiverse SM1 was there in the 2000s, thanks to Blade. It would take 22 years up to now we have the perfect Spider-Man in the MCU mixed with the grittiness of Andrew Spidey and the friendliness and responsibility of Tobey Spidey. Tom is a Raimi Spider-Man fan, so he will devote himself to be MCU Spiderman in the future MCU Spidey movies. Thanks to Blade, superhero movies can be successful with comic references and grittiness in the real like with No Way Home.🤩

It's in a hundred covers for Superman issues, Richard Donner's Superman does it, basically every cartoon does it, even Zack Synder's Superman does it, bet James Gunn's Superman will do it. The guy is right. Tom’s closest thing to a moment was when he saw his reflection in the water and lifted himself out of the rubble in Homecoming.
Tom is the Spider-Man I grew up with, and he’s my favorite. Throughout his appearances in both his solo films and the team-up films, you can tell how he progresses as a character. He goes from a kid who's desperate to prove himself to a more mature person who accepts the sacrifices that come with being a hero. I like Tobey and Andrew, too, but I didn’t really grow up with them. I grew up with Tom's Spider-Man from Civil War all the way to No Way Home.

I guess its because Tom looks more like a Spider-Boy than a Spider-MAN, he had good moments in the movies but he always looks like a kid cosplaying as Spider-Man and he always had side characters/heroes holding his hand along the way.

Whenever people say that Peter doesn’t face consequences in these movies. I feel like they’re just stating a fact that, that’s his character arc.
Homecoming: Peter has to learn to do stuff without his mentor & to not always take the easy option out.
Far From Home: Peter is forced into making hard decisions when his mentor dies & tries to hand the responsibility over to someone else which costs him his identity.
No Way Home: Peter tries to let the world forget he’s Spider-Man but makes way too many exceptions to that rule to the point where he has to face more villains than he ever has before. Leading to him loosing more than when he started the movie of he’d made the hard choice.
And by the end, he has to come to terms with the fact that he has no fall back options anymore & has to do everything by himself. It’s even called No Way Home. Does that really sound like the title for a character that’s not supposed to face consequence.
For me the most accurate Main line Peter Parker Spider-Man is Toms Spider-Man.
This is why I like all 3. One is not better than the other.

Not only him but every fictional character that always being positive even after all of their lost like Thor, Nobita (didn't lost anything but still), Superman (not every version just the OG), and even Naruto. Cuz being positive all the time is the hardest thing that you could do.
And out of every spiderman I've seen on Movies, nobody could pictured Peter Parker better than Tobey Maguire
