I also wanted to k-myself as a teen, my entire teen years actually and my experience with depression was pretty brutal because it was constant for over a decade. I still deal with mild depression here and there and like you said, am “melancholic”. And yes! I agree with you about the book of Ecclesiastes hitting HARD when one is of a melancholy nature. So true. Many people seem to feel depressed reading that book of the Bible, but I actually felt understood and a sense of relief that there was a biblical book detailing how all these things are meaningless when I’ve felt that for the vast majority of my life since childhood.
