DW was truly a great game. When you recognize each enemy in a game as specific things, such as "Death", "Artery", or "Free food", you know that game was done well. DW was the greatest game to ever grace the cringey hellhole that is Roblox, and nothing can change my mind. Playing DW could only be described as suffering, with heavy RNG, punishing debuffs, and enemies that WILL kill the shit out of you if you don't know how to fight them. But we're missing it. We're free, yet we miss the suffering. We're missing parrying and murdering the early waves systematically, we're missing the rush of fighting scav war or wave 10, we're missing all the broken combos the game allowed. Decaying winter was as the name implied. A harsh, merciless place that left you to rot. Except, Archimeux gave us the tools to not only survive, but thrive in such a landscape. We had a good run. o7

The fun we had as a group, we felt as if we're playing with real people, friends, no. Family. Despite being enemies, we built connections with NPCs. That's how you know the game you're playing is good, it made you feel Welcomed not only as a player, to a friend and to a Family. Veterans feel pleased by them for they gave them a fun time. Unfortunately, all things are bound to fall apart.

My friend sent me this saying he almost cried, at first I thought it can't be that bad, but now seeing this, ir sorta made me cry also. I love the OG Decaying winter, and I loved playing it with my friends (That I go on google meets with when playing it with them) , playing it reminded me that even though i'll more or less not ever see them in real life, I can still talk to them. The AK-74 NPC also made me extremely angry. Also when i found out the Stand Alone gamemode existed and i played it knowing only my pledge was there, I thought to myself " Hey, This can;t be that bad! I get to experience starting to play this game again, but with knowing on how to! "

Yeah the game was hard. Really hard with randoms. But its fun comes from its difficulty. We feel happiness more than anger while we were dying in DW. Because you feel accomplished. No matter what, OG DW will live in our hearts forever.

I am happy that this game popped up in my recommendation on TH-cam And i am happy to click on that video to found this fame that very day Decaying Winter is indeed a seriously hard game. But it is also a very rewarding game. I have never feel to fun just to survive a man with a lead pipe before, and i will glad that Lazarus was the first perk i use since i always the supporter in a lot of game i played Thank you, Decaying Winter, for bringing such experience to me. It was a spectacular experience it is, i will still enjoy Holdout mode for now. But i hope the devs will somehow bring the survival mode back once again
