they mayor's house is nice on the outside in my game I decided to makeover every house in the town without changing any of the exterior and some of them can actually be made to look amazing with a little more furnishing.

@@freakydeakyman yeah it's insane that a pack that added frickin' seasons did not provide anything for actual cold weather clothes, it's unbelievable

alot of the sims in the game have randomized hot and cold weather because they were created before the outfit categories existed.

I'm wondering if EA screwed over sims team on the budget and that's why Strangerville has so many mistakes and feels incomplete

@@ritam768 Ehh... I feel the packs and mods are pretty equal.. But the mods are a little better than the content we get, because mods give us more things to do.. The content sims team gives us generally doesn't give us much to do. What that reason could possibly be, I have no idea. Disagreements between the devs maybe? I would also guess some sort of corporation BS because of EA's reputation..
EA is one of the worst companies on the planet. Nothing surprises me at this point.

They were lazy and knew that people would buy it. Honestly at this point so many people buy the packs to have all the packs. I wanted to play the mystery and then realised how shit the pack was. Idk I love the Sims but they need to up their game if they’re gonna justify delaying TS5 by another 4 years
So recently I watched a video on how EA actively buys smaller companies, screws over and overworks their employees to make more content for games in a rushed manner, sprinkles in a bunch of buyable content, and then eventually leaves the original company for dead, taking over the franchises that they own. Does this sound familiar to any of you? What i'm trying to say is, these kinds of sloppy problems that come with expansion packs and such aren't the mishaps of the Sims team, rather it's the cruel way that EA treats it's developers and makes them rush things just to get them out. It's really a toxic business practice and I think there should be some awareness for it, not just because it gives us an ultimately worse product but also because it's unfair to the people who are working to give us these otherwise great games.

Yeah they are so bad, like simsie is so right that thousands of people use her SAVE just becouse they want like simple game where sims are clothed etc. So overated sims now.... like really the game sucks so much, every sim in my game is naked/bugged with clothes coz the sims guru cant do simple things like aquire clothes at beginning to all sims, even if the clothes would get copied.... hate sims now.
Or to make us work, like work into making that place livable.

Liberty Lee's everything tbh. Although the makeup for her formal is one of the worst things I've seen in-game, so it probably takes the cake.
Also an honorable mention: her default walk... I saw that from a distance while my sim was fishing, thought she was mad, and cancelled the welcome wagon.

I really hope the sims team learned from Get Famous and Strangerville with the next pack. All we ask for are usable lots, no missing tolettes/empty houses, and premade townies that don't look like they got dressed in the dark.

Honestly there have been so many misses from the sims team lately I'm really starting to doubt them. I mean you would expect such a huge game as THE SIMS to freaking PLAYTEST their games before release, but apparently not...
If you watch the sims supply's interview with Lindsay they explain they did play test and that's why the fruit bowl was moved but they didn't realise it wasn't put back until after release
While I was renovating Johny Zest’s trailer I noticed something as well. The floorplan reminds me soooo much of the Bheeda’s appartments?? Am I the only one who thinks this, or??

Leslie Holland is one of the Townies who is almost always infected so I feel like they used that as an excuse not to dress her properly. I think they did some really cool things with Strangerville, and I think houses and sims were some of the last things done and they rushed it to meet a deadline.

Has anyone else noticed Sims “welcome wagons” have twitchy sims visiting you now in other worlds? It has happened 3 times to me now. Thank you Kayla for your fixes, EA needs to hire you!
One thing that's really bugging me is that Mark Eggleston's party outfit is from the TS4 Digital Deluxe, not the like base-base game. Same with Baby Ariel and someone else from Get Famous (but it may be their formal outfits, not sure). Since I don't have Digital Deluxe (I'm kind of poor and have gotten all the packs as presents from family and friends) it took me so long to understand why they didn't have any party/formal outfits, I was even in contact with EA and they were like "Try to repair your game again." etc. Finally I found the problem in a forum on EA:s official forum site. Anyway, the Deluxe outfits should have a tag in CAS, just as all the other packs have, so that this wouldn't happen.

I’ve tried a few other saves and i’ve just been disappointed. They removed all the ea townies, and half the worlds were just empty??? no families?? like what?? another one i tried literally just had randomised townies with SUCH weird outfits and stuff i was like what the flip is this?? SO i just want to say thank you SO much for a save file that is functional, still keeps the original EA feel, has real families and not just single sims with no jobs or skills etc, it’s so fun to play in and keeps the game alive. ♡
one thing i do do in the simsiesave is add my own makeovers to the EA townies bc i made them all over heh

Eh, honestly don't think it's that big a deal with some of the outfits in CAS the other premade outfits were fine. Majority of the time I'm either going to delete premades or giving them some new outfits anyway.
Only thing giving me woes that needs to be fixed is the weird situational outfit changes and having accessories added where they don't need to be that's irritating.

so fun fact: in my game, these sims were wearing the exact same clothes, like they aren’t fully randomizes or else they’d be wearing different clothes in my game, someone actually dressed them like this 😭😭😭

With the glasses thing... Some folks can't wear or can't afford contacts and are blind enough to require them for everything. So it depends on the story you're going for with your Sim. It'd also be an idea to use different glasses for like party/formal wear and like...a ratty old pair for active wear.

I'm assuming that the Sims team spent most of their production time on StrangerVille focused on the story mode and making the canyons and exterior of houses and when it came time to furnish the houses and dress the townies they were running out of time that EA's budget allowed for.
