Them horses are already well over weight , they need to have a set out gated aria and a set out feeding times or they will just keep eating and get over weight, it’s already happening
Horses are not compound animals, it’s easier to deal with there droppings if it’s mostly confined in there own gated area of the compound as opposed to anywhere near n the compound.,
You don’t have stables so this is your only option..
For training purposes, it’s good to take the horses on a walk now and again, maybe around the forest.. they will get used to being taken for walks and enjoy it than you’ll be able to ride on them the same route.

The horses are living in environments where they are beset by many annoying flying insects. Many of these insects are parasites, and want to drill through the horse’s skin to rob the horse of its life-blood. Horses have evolved several defenses against this. On is their long tail, which they can use as a fly-swatter, swishing it around to scare away flies. They have long hair on their neck which helps protect their neck from biting flies, and they can shake their head to flail their mane hair around and scare off flies. They have also evolved specialized muscles under their skin which can jerk the skin to dislodge flies and interrupt them from their attempt to bite. This ability to twitch their skin isn’t just in their legs. They can twitch almost any part of their skin, apart from their back. This is a reflex action, which happens automatically without them having to think about it.
If the flies are particularly persistent, or vicious, the next level of defense is stomping their legs or rolling in dust or mud to get rid of them. If you’ve ever had a black fly land on you and jab you with its blood-sucking mouthparts, you know exactly what your horse is going through. Those little suckers are extremely painful. Horse flies are just vicious buzz-saws that feel like being attacked by a drill-bit.
