I mean, minus the boost games (besides debatably forces because Sonic is so slow in that) they usually go at the same speeds in their games unless Sonic has a deep slope, a speed boost, super sonic, or a spring to boost his speed
@@nojorooney i don't think so. (If ya' only mean Classic) even if you avoid adding momentum to Sonic by using down slopes or anything alike, Sonic 1 will reach a speed higher than what Mario has in World (game from its same time/era) without the super cape.

Personally, I think that the SM64 Generations mod would have worked better than the mod you used.
Why? Honestly, that mod is just slow as hell with how slow Mario runs.

You know guys, Mario had a rough transition to 3D compared to Sonic. You guys remember Mario 06 and Mario Forces? Not good memories at all. But Sonic had it made! Sonic Sunshine, Sonic Galaxy, Sonic Odyssey? Freaking amazing games! Wish Nintendo would do better with Mario...(I'm sorry, but I really wanted to do tye old switcheroo!)

I've always wondered how come Nintendo & Sega cannot do an actual Mario & Sonic platforming crossover. The Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Game titles were so much fun but even when they first reveal the original Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games, it wasn't truly a type of franchise both Mario fans & Sonic fans asked for.
I could only imagine this is what an alternate universe would be like! Somewhere out there, there’s a video called "What of Sonic and Mario swapped games" and what’s shown matches that of our Universe. 😁😁😁

Mostly different characters in different games from mods dont fit well, cause the bones and animation, not to mention the clipping because of the model. But this fits so perfect! :O im surprised how well this is!! and the small voice clips and sounds r a very nice touch. .....course since Bowser replaced Eggman, I woulda loved to see cat Eggman fight sonic XD

so uh in gens the hud was changed to tailor the experience to mario, and even the komodo koopa over the egg dragoon is present, but no eggman mech over meowser, no custom hud, no different flagpole, it’s not a issue, it’s just odd.
also I love there were voice clips added for sonic instead of it being a few model swaps
I’m not trying to degrade the sm3Dw mod, I think it’s amazing, but there’s just things I find off in comparison to Mario in gens.
also why not use the mario 64 generations mod?
I chose the Super Mario Generations mod because it uses Mario’s model from recent games. If I used 64 Mario, not only would the stages take forever to clear but also it would look odd because Mario’s model is so huge and of course it uses the 64 model which doesn’t contrast well with the Sonic mod imo. The Sonic mod was made to just be a simple model swap (like most 3D World mods) and added voice clips, seems a bit odd to make a full Sonic conversion mod for 3D world, tho would be cool.

Nah... There are some things Sonic shouldn't do like Mario. Don't forget Mario technically kills animals and the blocks he hits are people turned into blocks, which makes Mario wayyyyy more sociopath. It would be Sonic's character which would endure this mess if they switch places... so... Let's not try to imagine, can we?
And it would be Sonic the annoying series which repeats itself again and again and not having this beautiful creativity it has during 2000s and with Frontiers. Sonic and Mario need to stay in their places.
