Thina, I have to say two things:
1. Your hair is super cool (and it is funny how you and Karina have the same hair for this comeback haha).
2. Aespa killed it with this comeback.
Black mamba's instrul is a little similar to Girls but Girls upgrade their sound's identity to more futuristic song and so good mv and editing! The one i recognize 1rst is Ningning with her vocal and Karina's charisma, then Winter's vocal specially here is on fire! Before i didn't find charisma in Giselle when she's singing but she's killing with her rap
The song is great and cohesive but I still prefer NL & Savage cause that’s their true sound imo. their songs are weird, they fall out of the norm, catch you off guard with the crazy “outta place” switch ups, make you re listen to a song on your own accord to unveil new layers of production.
this one is more accessible to the general public + the girls have been promoting in America so it’s understandable that SM toned it down a bit with this comeback.

I low-key feel so happy that all of their songs sound so empowering!
It's now with Girls that my love from them is growing so much and i love Girls's instrumental that is so cohesive, futuristic, rock but also melancolic bridge, that's what i love! That's the structure i didn't find in Next level, in Savage, there is more industrial sound but it's cohesive, good and more rap! I saw their story after Girls and i love them all now
theres Girls performance ver and also at Studio Choom!
There is a live stage performance though! (For Girls!) So that is nice to at least be able to see the choreo all the way through even though they still do all the camera angles and zooms so you can't see everything as well as a dance practice... it's still nice to see! And yes WINTERRR my bias
There's only so many love songs any person can write in the world. I'm all for aespa and SM creating their own universe just so they can take us on a journey and sing about whatever they want.
I hope that the next comeback sm can push giselle and karina for more vocals

We all love the formulaic song structures and they're often an easy go-to for songwriters but Aespa...this song laughs in the face of the formulas love it but 15 listening and Im still grasping for something to hold onto at times.
Im a metal head from way back and you can only imagine what my friends and family think but Im so glad I found KPOP 8 months ago.

Black Mamba is still my favorite title track but once again I respect their experimental sound. They kind of trend set the mix-pop sound for fourth gen and that's impressive. I'm not a huge fan of their comebacks since they debuted but I always come back for their concept and vocals. Love or hate their sound, you could never call them untalented.

I like Aespa debut song Black mamba but i hate next level too repetitive, boring and it's like 3 differents medley and 3 differents part that don't match together, i hear a remix of Next level that sounds more Aespa's sound identity than the original! @@yujuswifebecauseshesveryfr9414 It's not bad or "too dependent" on camera work, a lot of parts especially the chorus it's intentionally made for camera work exclusively, blaming the choreography saying "too dependent on camera work", blaming something that serve its purpose is kinda dumb since the girls are literally controlling the camera zooming out and in, even their hand gestures of rotation to rotate the camera to the next dancer. So people should pay attention to the actual camera work instead of complaining...
