Looks great, but I need a fare bit of convincing! I've had multiple BMW system helmets (Schuberth) as well as S1 and C3Pro during my 35+ years of riding bikes. My C3Pro was crap, it let water in via the visor and was repaired by dealer twice (new seals). I finally gave up when I was told warranty had expired at just over 2 years old. I've had Shoei ever since and I'm relatively happy. I'd promised myself never to go back to Schuberth again and give them my money, however, this one looks good.... We'll see I guess
Heb de C5 aangeschaft, maat 61 en dat is dan de eerste maat met de grote helmschaal, dus tot maat 63, en je heb dan gewoon een te grote helm op je hoofd, hoop dat ik hem terug kan brengen naar de winkel , hij is ook erg zwaar!, verder is ie perfect wat je van schuberth mag verwachten , op het instelbare vizier na dan die klap nog steeds ongewenst dicht maar dat deed ie altijd al, ze moeten echt met een tussen schaal maat komen , dus 3 helmschalen zoals eerder met de c4 en de C 3 Ik denk zelf als je maatje 59-60 heb koop je iets perfect ,maar vanaf maat 61 is ie gewoon te groot ….een ruimtehelm of zoiets.
Lol after the "made in China" experience (read quality drama's) I am seriously doubting if I will ever buy Schuberth ... So many of my loyal (Schuberth C3) touring friends were bitterly dissapointed about their C3 Pro and C4(Pro) ...
technical question Schuberth C5 sizing chart sucks. I am 58cm and L is too big. Can I buy the "oval head padding kit" for the size M and fit this to the L? the shell sizes are the same, but not sure if the inner fixed padding changes sizes or its just done with the changeable paddings. So I am asking can I change an L into M with a padding kit?

If you charge the unit fully then don't turn it on 4 days later the battery level is at 45% but apparently that isn't an issue. Any other items with batteries don't lose 55% of the charge in 4 days with no use
Leider hat Schuberth die Größen verändert. Habe den C3 und den C4 in XL, passen beide hervorragend. Der C5 in XL ist eine Nummer größer und in L eine Nummer kleiner wie C3/C4 in XL. Wenn dass nicht mal wieder auf den bisherigen Standard geändert wird, war der C4 mein letzter Schuberth. Keine Ahnung warum man solche Sachen, die jahrelang gepasst haben ändert?
Dear Mr SCHUBERTH, why does my C5 leak when it rains, and why when the wind catches the left side of my helmet it causes a very loud noise! Also the helmet hurts the back of my head. Can I get my money back as paying over£850 for helmet and intercom this is so disappointing! Please advise.

Hab mir den C5 angeschaut. Mit dem Mikro des SC2 aber als Schwanenhals, wie beim alten SRC im C3 pro die ganze Zeit den Dauerlutscher vor dem Mund: Ausschlusskriterium. Das geht gar nicht. Bietet optional noch ein Mikro, welches man an die Seite kletten kann, kleiner als den Prügel vom SC2. So ist der C5 derzeit kein Nachfolger zu meinem C3 pro.
My E1 was junk, I ditched it and went back to Shoei within 3 months. I hope this C5 is a better effort, and you need to speak to Cardo and get a 2nd comms option for those of us that ride in the rain.
Interfering with personal choice in Comms seems like a good way to piss off a lot of buyers. Are you building ALL these to the same safety standards regardless of market?
Purchased a new C4 pro helmet. Chin strap fell off after second ride as the screw that was supposed to hold it in place was not screwed in place at all it was only hanging in place. So much for the quality control at the factory. Imaging having an accident with such helmet. Now I need to send it for the repairs to the manufacturer. It will take six weeks according to the reseller. And ridding season here in Sweden is one third of that. Also helmet had annoying whistle during those two rides. And I thought Shubert was a quality helmet. I was dreaming.
If only they could stop the drop down sun visor from steaming up, im sure not a Schuberth specific problem, just an enclosed helmet anti noise issue that stops your breath vapour from escaping. I think this helmet does have an extra chin vent to help, but i will wait 4 the ride reviews
In 2022 the communication unit should be standard part of every new helmet! I like new features of C5 but was wandering about the weight to compare with other carbon helmets on market.
while I agree - this issue was annoying - it was also very easy to fix: I just put some custom made thin rubber (from the craft shop) washers/disks in myself :)
Ich finde den Helm auch echt Klasse. Aber warum ist der Ersatzteilhandel für die "Alten Helm" so bescheiden. Sind die Träger dieser Helme abgehängt oder ist der Support extra so schlecht damit nur der "Neue Helm" gekauft werden. Es kann doch nicht sein das es keine Ersatz-Visiere mehr zu kaufen gibt!!!!???? Did Schuberth Fix the rusting chin buckles? I hope it had an aluminum buckles now. I'm glad it now supports MESH. I love Schuberth's color scheme BTW, its easy to color match on BMW bikes. ü
2 again as ever before for Schuberth flip-ups. Not a big deal for any male though since the smaller shell has always been quite compact. Bigger shell is also good for people with bigger faces when a helmet fits nice in a crown area but the chin or nose simply touch the bar
After spending a large wedge of my hard-earned on the appalling C4 when it came out (bits falling off, noisy, hopeless for spectacle-wearers, rubbish pinlock, anti-rolloff strap detaching, dreadful comms controls, couldn't-care-less customer service, so-so fit) I swore I'd never buy another Schuberth helmet. However if they've learned from that disaster I could be tempted with this one, but only if they introduce an ADV version - an E2, if you like. I like the dual homologation (which was on my cheapo Caberg Duke over 5 years ago!) and the new 22.06 standard, but the peak would be a must, otherwise it's a Shoei; don't think I could bring myself to buy an E1 regardless of how cheap it might become!
sena again :( On a top helmet, again a mediocre headset. Even the iphone apps have not been optimized for years for the new screen size. As it was for iphone4 and has remained.
And I just bought this year my C4 Pro ,😭 I love the head adjustment on the C5 aa it would be great for my wierd head. Anyway, nice work and I will be looking for the reviews of the C5.
Too late for me. I really wanted one. The C4 Pro carbon was horrible fit for a typical shape melon I have. I just could not get it to sit good. I was told, chance pads. Nope !!! I went and got the HJC RHPA 90S Carbon. Superb helmet for 450.00 shipped. Maybe the C5 will be my next ticket in few years.
Sorry, but is that really all you're going to do with the flagship for the next few years? Was it that hard to think about Active Noise Cancelling in a motorcycle helmet? Why not license the technology from Bose or Sony? Why can't I use the Com system to control my GoPro or capture the audio over it while filming? Why no thought was given to self-tinting visors? Why no 4k/60 cam integrated? Just no innovation at all but more of the same is disappointing. For me as a C4 Pro customer see NO added value to switch. For this I now have a filter in the chin vent (where, by the way, you can now no longer mount a cam). Or various helmet pads. It's all so dull and little new. To meet the standards should be due to the fact that you also want to sell to authorities. I understand that, but apart from that nothing innovative? An opportunity was missed here.
Better yet, why sena when cardo is far far superior quality system and even stones knows that ?? Or why not give both possibilities to make the raider free to choose what best for him and not for you? Rispondi a queata Matteo , vediamo cosa dici al riguardo !?!
Wird wahrscheinlich nicht lieferbar sein. Wollte den R2 in Carbon, wurde von Schuberth selber über ein halbes Jahr vertröstet. Der x-lite Carbon passt perfekt.
Stop with the propriatary coms system. You're really missing out on cardo (or others) users. I don't want to pay more for a helmet because it has hardware that I'm going to remove and be left with empty cover holes.

Very similar experience here, had a C3 and C3pro with identical issues and been told it's wear and tear.. I won't be buying another Schubert product..

Ik zie dat de pinn lock nog niet gewijzigd is , als je de helm wat hard sluit slaat de pinn lock naar beneden!

This helmet looks great. I hope the issue with the shield slamming shut on the C3 Pro has been addressed.

Pad adjustment is great! But what about the crown pad? The helmet seems to sit quite high wich ist bad for multiple reasons (sight, drag, comfort...).
Has the C5 been approved for use in the USA, if not when is it expected to be released to the USA market?
Is there will be coming C5 pro helmet later on for sale?!

Hello, the Sena SC2 intercom is a real disaster, the sound is shabby and the connection of the control system is hazardous.

Just removed the Shuberth C5 from box , first ride , totally disappointed , the visor is loose and can't stand open even at 40 km/hr speed 😡😡😡😡😡
Bad news good news. Bad: The SC1A in my C4 will not fit the C5. The good: Once the C5 releases I should be able to pick up a C4 Pro on clearance.
