One of all time favorite shows. I was only 6 when it first aired in 1987, but I watched it with my dad when I was around 8, still watch it anytime I see it on.

Amazing writers, perfect casting, and while overblown in the opposite direction it was far more relatable.
Married With Children was one of extremely few shows I watched every episode, from beginning to end. I had just entered my senior year in high school when the Pilot episode aired. One if my favorite series if all time. Most brilliant writers I had ever heard fir dialigue.
This show was iconic. There was a time in the States that very few people didn't at least know of it.
Not joking when I say this was the most accurate depiction of the typical American family of its time lol. This show way my favorite as a kid and Ed O'Neil is a legend👏

Grew up on this show and now my kids are too lol glad they still show all the reruns on TV, it never gets old. People complained about this show when it started, but that complaining only made more people tune in and watch it lol
You guys have to keep in mind that Christina Applegate was 15 when the show started and about 26 by the time it concluded
This was one of my favorite shows as a child. They did an episode in the UK. It had a backstory and a twist, where of course, the bundy's couldn't catch a break. Not even across the pond.
The cast is coming back to do an animated revival. I hope it goes well.

Back then in the USA. We had the White Pages phone book which had everyone's number listed, but some people could get an unlisted number, meaning it wouldn't be listed in the White Pages or available to find if you called an operator in information. People paid extra to keep their numbers completely unlisted, but usually only the upper class and rich.

Christina Applegate has been in a lot of things. She was in the series Dead To Me. But she’s had some health problems in recent years. I’m not sure if it’s Parkinson’s or something else but when I saw her getting some kind of recognition, for something I can’t remember what it was now, she was needing assistance to keep her balance and get around.
One of my favorite lines was between Bud and Kelly. She told him her hippie name was Peace and he said “yeah, peace” and spelled it out “P.I.E.C.E”😂

That is actually an amazing idea. Reboots almost never go well, and somewhat ruin the legacy. A cartoon version would eliminate that I think if it sucks.

Also, in the opening credits when you see the freeway outside of Chicago, that clip is taken from the National Vacation movie and if you look close enough, you can see the Griswalds car leaving Chicago.

This show predates cell phones (as they are now) by a solid 10 years. Car phones were a thing, but mobile phones made calls and weighed several pounds. None of them had a camera.
She was showing him POLAROIDS.
There were cell phones but they were unbelievably expensive and were the size of suitcases. My dad had one and it cost $3/min+ to call which was crazy for the 80s. But there were no PCS/GSM phones for 10 years and def wouldn't be smartphones for 2 decades.

I loved Married w/Children back in the day starting in the late 1980's & then all of the 1990's. Their final episodes were their adventures in the UK. However, this compilation is haphazard, cut & edited at odd places in the scenes, so that you expect the whole scene to be finished but sometimes you don't get to the punchline. It's not just edited cleanly. I hope you get more Married w/Children compilation reactions, such as "Best of Al Bundy's Insults" or similar. You guys are right though, you probably will not see these kinds of sitcoms anymore because they were not very politically correct for today's era. By the way, the daughter actress Christina Applegate had breast cancer twice & got a mastectomy and reconstruction at age 39. It kinda puts perspective on thirsting for a hot babe at her age during the sitcom & then struck with the awareness that even hot babes can get ill & get some of her womanly parts removed or rearranged.

Not only was that one of the best comedies at that time. This is one of the best comedy shows in this time as well. PS: And you are so right they wouldn't allow this comedy show in these times. 4:54 Marcy did not have a mobile phone in her hand, she had Polaroids. I dunno if they were that common in England but over here everyone had a Polaroid camera in the mid-80s and they'd spit out those pics that would develop in your hand. Most people would flap them like a fan which led to the Outkast lyric: "shake it like Polaroid picture". Truth is, the flapping didn't help but everyone did it anyway.
