    9/29 LOCALS REPORT:
Note: It's 11:30 and a long five rounds so these might not be freshest in my memory.
    Round 1: Danger! Tearlament
The boogieman itself. Game 1 he goes first and we open some hand traps (Veiler + Gamma, iirc), enough to force him to end on only Spright Elf and I:P Masquerena. We normal summon Therizia, grab Frenzy, then do some Mathmech stuff before we drop the Final Sigma on board with a Super Factorial to back it up. We go back and forth for a few turns, but with a Final Sigma, Rexterm, and Superfactorial shenanigans we manage to take it.
Game 2 he sets 2, activates Mothman, pitches something useless (I don't remember what), and after drawing from Mothman he sets 2 and passes it to us. We do some Mathmech shenanigans to end on Heatsoul/Transcode with a Superfactorial and Called By down, which is enough to take it.
Looking back, he actually could have outed the Final Sigma, as he had a Kaleidoheart and the Field Spell on board, so he could have beaten over it with Kaleidoheart but didn't notice. Oh well. 1-0
    Round 2: Branded Tear
This is the same guy we Naturia Beasted to death last week, and he's a blind second build--which is great for us. Game 1 we end on the nuts, Transcode + Heatsoul as well as Frenzy, Superfactorial, and Called By set. He activates lair, I decide this is a good enough time to Laplacian, and we do so to drop it and a Branded Fusion from hand. We then attempt to Frenzy, but he Imperms our Kentregina so no Rexterm. He then Alubers, which we negate with Laplacian, but he then reveals he had another Branded Fusion anyway. Still, he ends up not having enough in hand to activate Lubellion so tries to activate the Tear he sent off Branded Fusion, but we Called By it and he dies on the crackback.
Game 2 he hems and haws about going first, but we know he's a blind second deck so we go first anyway. We end on full combo plus Appointer AND Anti-Spell. Appointer shows us TCBOO, a spell or two, and some tears. We know we can stop all the tears with Rexterm, Laplacian negate, and Anti-Spell stops the spells, so we snag the TCBOO. After trying hopelessly to do something with the Tears, we kill him on the crackback. 2-0
    Round 3: Gren Maju
Not much to say here--we got paired down. Kaiju's don't do much when we have Superfactorial, I:P, all the fun stuff. Game 1 we almost lose to a set D.D. Dynamite but wisely spin the backrow with Unicorn before proceeding to our turn, and game 2 he doesn't find really anything. 3-0
    Round 4: Frog Spright
I won't miss Ronintoadin, that's for sure. This match sucked. Game 1 we open Therizia, 3 hand traps, and Superfactorial, so an Imperm on our Therizia means we have to hope three hand traps is enough. While it is enough to stop him from getting to Toad, since we negated his Gigantic effect he can still beat over our Therizia and go into Downerd/Zeus, which we can't out.
Game 2 we once AGAIN open only Therizia, but with an Ash and an Appointer in hand we have enough to keep him off anything import, and Therizia, Rexterm, and Kentregina are big enough to get it done.
Game 3 was a tough one. We open enough hand traps to make his end board only Elf, Red, and Smashers set, but because Red SPECIFICALLY destroys when he sacrifices Elf (which he chooses to do), our Subtraction in hand has nobody to Xyz with once Therizia is negated and destroyed and we don't have any more extenders. He Smashers a lone Superfactorial on endstep and goes into Toad + Elf, a position we can't possibly beat.
I'd never played Jose before and he was tough, definitely one of the better players in the tournament. He went on to win, actually. 3-1
    Round 5: Altergeist
I've played Dan on this deck many times in the past, and while I think we're even in Win-Loss it never ceases to aggravate me, especially since our losses tend to be in round 5 with the tournament on the line. However, this time we have a trick up our sleeve.
Game 1 he goes first, summons the Geist bouncer (do not ask me to spell it, I can't), links it away to let him Nadir and special Ecclesia. He ends on the link 1, Ecclesia, and several backrow. We open pretty well with some Mathmechs, and we play them out in such a way that we manage to get three on field with a tuner on board. He passes it back to an open board state and we make Final Sigma, and with no Judgment or Strike to negate the summon... he can't out this. With an Addition (put in place of the missing subtractions and Sigmas) buffing our Final Sigma and a Subtraction coming out to lower the link 1 (some Magistus monster) to 0 attack, he realizes that if I go to battle that's 8000 exactly, so he has to shotgun a Torrential and clear his board, leaving us with an unaffected 3k beater. He tries to claw it back with some Altergeist value and Ecclesias indestructibility, but with Mathmechs and 2 Laplacians (!!) we outvalue him and kill him outright.
Game 2 he sets 4 and passes. *sigh*. No Lightning Storms, no Cyclones, so we have to trust that these Mathmechs and Traps in our hand are enough. He strikes our Circular, but with a Therizia normal summon and an extender we're at least able to get three names and Superfactorial on board with Frenzy as well. We pass to him, he draws and we Frenzy, which he negates, but then we hit him with Superfactorial to make Final Sigma! He passes to us, we hit him for 3k. We pass, he draws... and passes. We draw a (useless) Lightning Storm far too late, hit him for 3k. We pass, he draws... and scoops them out, having been unable to find a single monster. Well, sometimes we take those. 4-1 for us!
With our only loss being against the eventual winner (and only 2 4-1 players anyway with the top two guys splitting), we made 4th place and topped locals once again!
Conclusion: This deck is sweet. Your combo chains aren't very extensive and virtually every Mathmech is an extender, so you can usually get your power traps and link monsters out very quickly. Laplacian is INSANE value, and Final Sigma is a LOT better than I thought it would be in this format. All in all, this is where I'm finally happy giving Dinomorphia a home. Try it out for yourself, and let me know how it goes!

Yo, I kinda want to try this variant! I love dinomorphia but the floodgate heavy versions aren't that fun in my opinion.

They really, really aren't. This is, so far, the best home for a slim Dinomorphia package I've found (and believe me, I've looked).
