What a beautiful location for some family time. The food looked really nice.I was watching it at breakfast time in the UK so I was straight in the kitchen for some bacon and eggs.Amazing shapes of the Gum trees too.Lovely video. Thanks
Thanks Mick! We really enjoy watching your trips - both caravan and road train travels. Thank you for the effort you go to, you do a wonderful job! We love the Burra area, next time we’ll be sure to make time for a couple of nights relaxing at World’s End.
Sally & Mick, Dion, Sam, Rachel & Alexander. You guys are now my mentors. So much encouraging inspiration to get off my butt, hitch up and enjoy what life & nature gives freely. My knee repair says hurry up and use me..lol, so plans are closer than ever realised to look for your tracks out and around South Oz. P.S. My wife is now an Aussie, as on the 17th gained her citizenship, so my reward for her tolerance is mine..up & outa here asap. Thanks again mate.
Lovely spot Mick and thanks for sharing what was a lovely family event. I think one of the best things about the location is no mobile phone signal. I think in the days when I was working on the road, I had to drive to the World's End Wesleyan/Methodist Church (about 5 km away) to get reception. Thanks again and keep them coming.
Very nice spot, plan to visit it again in the near future, loved the old gums along creek. Question if I may - the chainsaw is that the single battery bushless one ? Been thinking about getting one.
Yes it,s a great spot but in the last few years it,s become too popular and now it,s hard to have a quiet week end there ,it was our favorite spot as we live 3/4 of a hour away, any way good things must come to an end ,5 years ago we used to have the whole place our self aw well not to worry.
There is so much media coverage out there, this channel included that lets everyone know about places such as this. As long as we all behave and respect each other, there is room for all but I do know where you are coming from.
We always loved camping at Burra Creek gorge but always brought our own firewood either eco logs or firewood (red gum) bought from Garden Grove. You should not collect wood at camp sites. Ken

Glad you like what you see.
Nice one, Mick. Watching you carve up that lamb had my mouth watering.
The lamb was very nice, nothing like a campfire roast.

Glad you enjoyed it
Looks a lovely campground
It is a great location although it can get very cold there.
Top video and even better week end.
Glad you think so!
Another great video. The meat did look tender. The problem with cooking the spuds in the fire like that is you forget how many you had put in .
thank you Wayne, I think we managed to retrieve most of the spuds.
Lovely spot Mick and thanks for sharing what was a lovely family event.

Glad you liked it Max, yes no mobile phone coverage there, just perfect.
We will definitely camp there soon! Good to see the dachshund as we have one too , she’d love it! Thanks a lot.
Glad you enjoyed the video Kathryn, it is a lovely spot there. It was Frankie's (dog) first trip away camping like that.
Fun family trip.
Yes, great times.
Very nice spot, plan to visit it again in the near future, loved the old gums along creek. Question if I may - the chainsaw is that the single battery bushless one ? Been thinking about getting one.
The chainsaw is a single battery brush type Ryobi I believe, worked very well.
Another great relaxing weekend trip away.
Have you retired or still driving road trains?
I take it Burra Creek is only a few hours from home?
Still driving Road Trains I am afraid.
Always interesting. Can you gather fire wood in the camp site area or do you bring your own
You will always need to bring your own firewood.
Just asking Mick....have you done the Eyre Peninsula as yet. As I am keen to get back across to Thevenard and my old steam loco days..cheers.
It has been several years since we have been over that way with the van.
Hi Mick. We could almost smell your BBQ here in NZ. 😋
I hope the smell was a s nice as the taste.
Did you bring your own wood
Yes as there is no firewood on location.

Ken
So true Ken, we even seen signs of where people had cut trees/limps from the creek.

@@Ken-Kaef the dog has plenty of energy.
I just found this channel. So when you guys pull triples, what is your gross weight?
Depends on what we carry at the time, between 80 and 120 tonnes.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 i haul grain in the states. We are "allowed" to be 44 tonnes. But most of the "big farmers" are right around 50 tonnes.
Obviously there are no carp in Burra creek or the weed would be gone
too right
