I picked this guitar up second hand for $50 Australian. Incredibly well made instrument. The only change I made was to replace the plastic bridge pins with Tusq, and this made the guitar even more resonant. For fingerstyle guitar, I would put it ahead of just about any high end instrument, including the Martin 000 18 on which it is based (that one costs about $4000 Australian).

It's quite unexpected ! Definitely a part of its charm.

Considering the OM shape she sounds real good, close to a dreadnought!

Yup, I agree. I have played this guitar along with other dreads....it doesn't get lost at all. This guitar got me by surprise!

Hi Steve, Mahogany back and sides? I know nothing about Cort. I've seen them before, but never researched them. That one sounds good, but the Yamaha in the last vid is pretty impossible to beat in that class, brother man 👍

Solid top and solid mahogany back, I think neck is also solid except for the heel.

Hey Randy, here is a link to the site with full details on it....
      www.cortguitars.com/product/item.php?it_id=131
Solid Adirondack top, Adirondack bracing, solid mahogany back (laminated mahogany sides), ovangkol fingerbaord and bridge, bone nut and saddle, open gear Grover tuners. The neck is a 3 piece (scarf joint), OM body shape.
I had no intentions of owning a "Cort" guitar, but saw this hung on the wall in a small shop about 5 yrs ago. They had two, this Natural one and a burst. This one had a slight edge in tone and volume over the other (based on what my ears heard anyway). I couldn't leave it there since it was on sale. $400 CAD taxes in (guitar and harsher case), and I took it home. It's the only OM body style I have ever owned, and I find it to be very comfortable.
