My husband's bff when we met was a lesbian he knew for years. Nice person but weak minded and jealous. She was dependent on him and would get in our way. I never told him to choose. She lived with him for a bit and then ditched him with passed due bills to go get married to some chick she met online. We met her and they came around like twice then never returned despite being "such good friends." KB, you were a trash friend. Do better.
I am emotionally depended on my friend (male) and we are friends for over 17 years ... I try to stay aware of my place. Some days are really hard for me to deal and I seek him desperately other than that I let him have his time. Sometimes we have been out of contact for months even. He drops me whenever he gets busy or deep in his own things but I don't mind much. I wish we stay friends till our last breath
You "let" him have his time? He "drops" you for a long time? Miss, this sounds like you're chasing (maybe even stalking and or forcing yourself in him), he's running, and as if you need a therapist to speak to. Nothing about this is a healthy "friendship".
Great topic!
