I love the laidback tone and rhythm of your reviews. All the bases are covered and your commentary is about as objective as you can get. The design of the Marimekko amenity kit is superb, as is most of the stuff that comes out of that design house. The new seat looks beautiful, but just like you , I do like the lounging position and I'm not sure I'd be able to get comfortable without the recline function. Thanks!
I always love how detailed your videos are. The placement of each section, volume, and real dedication to what you bring for b-roll footage. I would like to say how did you get good at the long haul travel. With the pockets of Turbulence throughout the 7-10 hours of flight is something I am trying to just break from myself. You seem like nothing bothers you on these flights.
Thanks a lot! I think the editing makes the long-haul travel seem more effortless than it really is. I don’t always love everything and it’s not always easy! But then again the more you do anything the better you get at it. Thanks for commenting!
Finnair for me has become the best European airline, most innovative, most consistently good service. Love how they accentuate their Finnish origin, including by using Finnish suppliers like Marimekko
That new seat is definitely really interesting, doesn’t tick all the boxes, but also a welcome improvement from certain other airlines. That Marimekko amenity kit looks nice too! For now I only own a United Premium Plus one
The BEST airline videos on TH-cam (and they’re getting longer?!) Mr Gabriel Lee, and his funky socks, are ALWAYS a nice addition to viewing day! Did I mentioned Marimekko?
love what they’ve done with the middle seats, such a great solution to something which other airlines seem to have overlooked a little. And those beautiful marimekko kits are always appreciated, I like that they’re giving them out in premium economy as well!
Yep, love that it's one where you can chat with your partner onboard. I generally like the reverse herringbone seats, but the biggest issue is traveling with someone else bc when you want to talk to them, you have to wave your hand and then both lean forward to do so.
I love the unique style of Finnair and there quirky seat, I love how the use Finnish brands like the marimekko amenity kits. I myself am waiting for covid restrictions to ease to fly this new product but love your videos and keep up the great work 👍
I can't wait to use "Finnair" . I love ❤️ having my own space. I think the Marimekko kit, is a very nice idea, along with your own pillow and blanket. The food looks great...
I love these videos! The soft narration is great and seeing all the amenities and scenery is very interesting. I bought other Merimekko items in Finland and the airline bag would be a nice addition.
Wow so many more comments than usual! Love your reports Gabriel and MARIMEKKO. I am surprised you were able to walk a round the cabin after all this lovely drinks!
I am a great and loyal follower/subscriber of Flightradar24 for a long time! Your videos would be a decent and honest way of cabin experience which I became addict versus other arroganish vloggers. Marimekko is a rising star nowadays and Finnair’s partnership is a proof of evidence for that! Next to other brand alliances... Good Luck and keep up.
I am commenting enter into that Marimekko giveaway and to let you know that I have just found you on TH-cam and I love the details you go into in your video's. Showing the menu and amenity packs is a great help. Looking at the size of the hole for your feet to go when laying down would also be a tight squeeze if you had bigger feet. Thanks for all that you do so we can get a clear insight to what the airline is like. 🙂
Flightradar24 Gabriel I Love watching your Travels in All Kinds of Aeroplanes Companies and the Latest in the Life's of Aviation..Living in New Zealand we don't experience all those Planes you take us on. As I immigrated from Holland as a Child and we were one of the First to Fly to New Zealand 1952...KLM on a Constellation 4 Prop Propeller....it took 7 days to arrive to Christchurch in those days. Kindness regards Yolanda Kirkbeck
Looking forward to seeing the next instalment, and hearing how the seat works for sleeping. It does all look like classy scandi design, and a restful place to be. I’m more familiar with Swedish and Danish brands, but I’m going to look up Marimekko - the prints look very chic!
I really look forward to the video where you can judge the new seat when you have to sleep in it. For this day-flight it looks really nice at least. I think it is really good and daring that Finnair went for a design like this. It shows that they are not scared to try new things. And well, now that I am commenting anyway let's enter into that Marimekko giveaway ;)
Oh, what would I do without Flightradar24 everyday? Don't even want to think about it. Seriously, thank you for providing flying experiences many of us won't have ourselves. The Marimekko amenity kit is a nice memento of a Finnair flight. Seems their collaboration is going well.
I've been flying with Finnair a couple of times. Last time was with 2 small children (3 years old and 9 months old). We were so well looked after. I would love to win that Marimekko amenity kit
Hmm, you know, I do love Marimekko stuff 😉 Great video btw, this one looked like a good experience overall even if the non-reclining seat would bug me… I’ll probably never get the chance to fly in business class, but it’s great to do it vicariously through videos like this 😂
Those business & premium economy seats look interesting. Definitely have to give finnair a try now, especially with their collaboration with itella and marimekko. Fyi I loved that 9 hours video you did for monocle back in the day
Thanks for a great review, full of relevant details and specifics. Long ago I was First Class all the time. Then I had 2 kids. Now I'm 46 - and retired early - - so, Premium Economy seems like it will be my new way to travel because I want to do some European trips from USA.
I love the idea of a DB level on each flight, it will be interesting to hear the difference between things like the A330 and the newer generation aircraft. Also, I’d like Marimekko amenity kit please 😁
Good video, lots of information here. I love the views out of Stockholm and over northern U.S./Canada. I liked the previous Finnair offering and I like the Marimekko amenity kits as well. I will certainly be interested to see how the return flight goes. Hope you will do a full flight in Premium economy as well to see how that goes.
A high quality review, thanks! Cool how Finnair have kept their distinctive design, the seat looks like a comfy Nordic cocoon. Hoping to catch it soon on the HEL-AMS route that gets A333/350 regularly. Finnair will have their 100th anniversary next year, a new MARIMEKKO livery coming?
Great work as always. So few passengers aboard, or so it seemed. Interesting seats. Ask someone who is 6'3, not sure if enjoy as much, but look forward to your return video. So what's in the Marimekko kit?Oh, and great shots of NYC. Safe travels!
Probably 50-60 onboard total and most of them in the back. Yes it ends up looking like I had a private A330 hah! And yes at 6'3" it might be a little tight, or you might just fit. Stay tuned for the next one! And thanks for the comment!
"Hope we get some views", he says, then shows off the most *amazing* views over Manhattan. 😆 That cabin looks incredible... the colour is restful, the food and drink look Nordically great. Wonder why the premium cabins were all empty? What a great experience. Marimekko! Would love that amenity kit.
Hi Michael, thanks for the comment! And good news: you've won the amenity kit. Let us know where we should mail it - by email to gabriel(at)fr24.com, or if you prefer to stay on the social media you can message me on Instagram instagram.com/gabeleigh/
1. I hope AY is able to up their load factor. Looks like barely anyone on board 2. Hope you don't have a headache after all those cocktails 3. Throwing my hat in the ring for Marimekko
1. Yes, far too few people onboard. Though I hear they’re doing very well on cargo still. 2. I usually know my limit but occasionally do fall victim to the old headache. Tough life doing these reviews 😅
The old glassware had a more of Finnair feeling to them... If that's a thing. Fortunately they're still around. And the Marimekko kit's nice, I'd like one!
We flew Finnair economy a few years ago from London to Dubai. It wasn’t particularly cheap and to our surprise there wasn’t any free food and no frills. Next time we flew a different carrier.
AY my favourite airline for many years from Bangkok into Europe. Great video Gabriel except for the annoying music on arrival into JFK. Cheers from Australia
Well, going to the First and Business Class lines...And I have always needed a seat that needs to be flat!!! I need to sleep on the Atlantic crossings...
You have a very soothing voice and calmness. Glad I found you, subscribing. Question with the lounge out no recline thing, but with a foot well and leg rest that bumps up, if you were say 5'5" could you kind of lay down if you're legs weren't straight??? It looks so roomy that you could kind of curl up. ?
I love the laidback tone and rhythm of your reviews. All the bases are covered and your commentary is about as objective as you can get. It's so lovely to see how the combination of the Marimekko and Finnair brands works so perfectly together!
I recently discovered this channel and your flight tracking web site via a NYT on tech posting from August 9. Glad I did!
Outstanding! Again an unbiased real review, well edited and narrated. Looking forward to the return! Marimekko 👍

MARIMEKKO MARIMEKKO MARIMEKKO.
You are without doubt the coolest airline reviewer on TH-cam. Thanks again for your quality videos. 👌
It's awesome that they've used Marimekko's products on board and the Marimekko liveries are beautiful. Well done Gabe, awesome video!

I've been entranced by Marimekko prints for decades.
Nice to see the new amenity kits sporting them.
Your presentation is highly interesting to watch. Thank you very much and take care.

Very good product by my friends at Finnair. Also good to see their continued support of Marimekko!
The new finnair businesses seat looks really good and beautiful concept, and nice new marimekko amenity kit too. 😍😍😍
Finnair have done a great job love the new seats
Amazing video Im delighted how much detailed you are.. Keep up the good work and cant wait see more videos
Great video. Marimoko stuff looks great. :)
Marimekko and Iittala together with Finnair are true design icons!
Great review. Like that they’ve added the Marimekko kit for multiple classes.
Getting a Marimekko amenity kit is such a treat - they have the most beautiful textiles.
Very interesting, thanks. The Marimekko amenity bag is stylish as ever.
I love these videos! The Marimekko amenity kit looks lovely. You are so lucky to be able to fly all over the place all the time!

Nice video Mr. Marimekko
Thank you for this awesome video with Finnair 💙
Marimekko - a great Finnish brand, not one I've heard of before.
Hope you enjoyed the flight and the cocktails.
For as many times as I have flown into and out of NY JFK, I have never ever experienced this approach. You got the full tourist approach ;-)
Same! We got really lucky with that approach plus relatively clear skies.
Great review as always! Sign me up for the Marimekko amenity kit sweepstakes!
Beautiful A330 ,thank you very much for sharing . also love the FR24 product , I am an annual subscriber - Marimekko FTW :)
Definitely an interesting seat and loving that Marimekko amenity kit as well! Cheers
What a beautiful video mate!
Thanks a lot!
Very cool seat. Love the design of it all! Marimekko gift looks 😎
Like KLM, Finnair have mastered modern design as part of a unique service experience. I’m a fan of both airlines.
Agreed. Very different styles, but love both!
Great video. Marimekko and I subscribed.

Amazing flight review as always, Gabriel! The new seats are cool and that Marimekko kits look so stylish! 💜
Thanks! 😃
Just flown A350 Hel-Sin - 13 hours. Seat actually works. It does take a rethink, but once you get it, it works both as a seat and as a bed.
Great video again! ❤️ Marimekko 😄
Thanks for a great and informative review!
As you don't have to wait, everything else interests you.l liked it a lot.And a good flight to all the crew.
That looks a great business seat.
Love the look ofvthe mirameko amenty kit.
Looking down over the NY area it made me appreciate living in a Florida county with about 400K citizens. Great video as always.
great video Marimoko

Wow flying to New Zealand on a Constellation. That's incredible!
Nice review. And the amnety kit from Marimekko looks cute too :)
We here in Finland do love our Marimekko :)
flying this next week, looking forward to my *Marimekko* kit!

kiitos and Marimekko
the pattern on the marimekko bag is nice, I wonder if we'll see any of that mirrored in the new textiles for pillows/bedding
The new textiles look pretty different. Hopefully they’ll make their debut pretty soon!
I've been flying with Finnair a couple of times. Last time was with 2 small children (3 years old and 9 months old). We were so well looked after. I would love to win that Marimekko amenity kit
Great video, hop you can compare every aicrafts noise in the future. And the Marimekko amenity kit is also worth to compare, but it looks great.

Finnair opened the Stockholm base after their main market in Japan and China was closed. Cargo plays a big role here, hopefully it works for them.
The old glassware had a more of Finnair feeling to them... If that's a thing. Fortunately they're still around. And the Marimekko kit's nice, I'd like one!
That is definitely a thing!
Would love to try this product with Marimekko design and compare it with SAS Business
Another great video, with a special shout-out to the Marimekko amenity kit! Were there any other passengers on the plane???
Thanks! Probably about 50-60 passengers total. Only 4 in business. More Swedes need to find out about Finnair's services to the USA, clearly!
Oh! Marimekko bag... :)
Thanks for another interesting and relaxing video. Plus the chance to win a Marimekko amenity kit 👍🏻🙂

Marimekko kit looks nice :)!
I'm very curious about the seat and I think Finnair has the right idea about it. The amenity kit by Marimekko looks interesting too...
So you didn't mention how long we have to enter the raffle, but I think you said to mention Marimekko hopefully that's correct 🙂
Great video! And, if I may say do, you are really 🔥😉
Very nice review :-)

Yes I think there's a lot of possibilities for curling up in this. Thanks for subscribing and for the kind words!
Now what we need is just more Marimekko liveries on the A350s
ok...great review....but the no recline seat is probably a deal killer for me...
