Do a house where every room is a different mood. There needs to be decor that puts your Sim in that mood and whole room has to be decorated in the mood color

You did such a great job with this build!! I get real, "surly teen gets sent to live with their grandparents and over the course of the summer learns how to care about others" vibes from this build.
I love how specific and yet accurate this is
The courtyard is the spot for the poignant scene where the teen realizes his actions hurt people and has a heart to heart with said grandparent.
I feel there’s a hallmark movie exactly like this 😅

Does anyone else think that the Sims should add a sleepover event for children or a stayover event for adults that might want to stay with their family like their grandma and you can make a call so that grandma over for the weekend and she stays in the spare bedroom or something😅
I think they should add something, at least an interaction since you can ask lovers to "stay the night"

It reminds me of the Japanese townhouses that have a tiny inner micro garden, often surrounded by at least 3 walls and a fence, sometime 2 or 4. Sometimes there's big windows on most sides to look through and only one area to actually enter with a small threshold. Sometimes its surrounded on all sides by the little deck with transparent or translucent doors or windows on most/all side. There's so many styles, sometimes it's a tiny little sitting garden, sometimes it's a Zen rock garden with a little bit of greenery and water feature. The goal being to have a spot that's tranquil, calm, has at least some greenery and life and it's often viewable from a large portion of the house, often from several floors if there are any since that area of the house has no roof. Essentially it's a little hole in the middle or chunk off the side/back of the house dedicated to that. I love them and I've tried to recreate a few in the Sims, it's a lot easier since Snowy Escape and platforms came out.

I do shapes like that whenever I build smaller homes, except where the secret garden is, that's where I put either the dining room or a joint living room/library framed by a long u-shaped hallway linking all the rooms together. The bathroom does often end up towards the front of the house, but I think it's a good floorplan for game play.

I live in a City with houses like 700 years old.
The oldest buildings around here are similar so we're actually fairly modern for the town if you don't count the new estates haha

I LOVE THIS I WANT TO LIVE HERE!!! Small older house with garden, galley kitchen, nice dining room, fire place and hot tub are all my dream house features!! Only thing missing is a fire pit and I’d probably swap the two chairs in front of the window next to the front door for a desk and computer. That would be my dream house 💖

I love the fairy lights garden, this house is so cute! Have you considered using TOOL? I understand not wanting to rotate stuff and getting stressed just from thinking of the mod, but the scale and elevate functions are super-easy to use, and you'd be able to have the rug or painting that you want in the size that you want it (and adjust floating items to their hallway tables). That's what I use it for, and it saves me a lot of time and pain when furnishing

The secret garden stuff is actually really popular in my area of California! On my grandma's street there are Eichler houses with courtyards in the middle and it's really cool! Some people put ponds in there with fish and it's like a little terrarium.

In my Native country back home, we got open courtyards in the middle. I used to live in a house where there was rooms up front, an open courtyard with stairs that led to the terrace and more rooms past the courtyard.

Video idea: Make a house that a player can “move in” to. (Partially furnish themselves) Like the player keeping furniture from their old house and then placing it down in the shell type house you build. You can adapt on this however you want btw, it’s just some inspo!

I actually know someone who has the absolute coolest house that is shaped like this. They have a hot tub in the center area. Also one of the back narrow areas is a den with an amazing bar. It’s a one-story but they have a walk-out basement with a gardening room and a dark room for photography. Honestly the coolest house I have ever been in.

Hold on that's like the shape of my school. It's a rectangle with a hole on the inside and a garden in the middle, so all classrooms either have windows to the outside or to the middle garden. If you've really messed up during chemistry, the teacher makes you work in the garden.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're probably not from the US. 🤣

@@lmbuilds5184 weeeeell, not really. Usually you have to weed it or water the entire thing and it takes pretty long. The other students can also see you from at least 3 sides of the garden which is pretty awkward.
It is kinda funny to look at people that are working in the garden if you have class yourself. It's a nice distraction. Every year during celebrations my chem teacher hangs up little fairy lights, and I always help him along with a few friends. It's so much fun.
I live in an area with a lot of Eichler homes and many of them have courtyards in the middle which are super cool. I had a friend who had a koi pond in the courtyard

Kayla kids' bedrooms are always so clean and organized! I always just throw stuff around, make it messy/overcluttered/cramped, lol. Like, growing up sharing a room with my young sister I got that 'claustrophobic' vibe from our room, mixed teen/kid stuff, lots of school stuff around, we didn't have a desk, we fought over the wardrobe and the single mirror that was *inside* it, then as my sister grew she tried replacing my book collection with her makeup collection and we just had earphones, perfumes, medicine bottles everywhere, lmao. And yes, it's worse nowadays.

The first thing I thought of when she demonstrated what she meant about the garden is the Emerald Graves in Dragon Age Inquisition. That’s basically how all the villas there are laid out, with a central courtyard garden thing. It’s really pretty

soon as you said secret garden it reminded me of this house from Sims 3 in Sunset Valley that had like an open roof inside garden? It was located in south-east outskirts of town, similar region to the stadium and up the street from Anges Crumblebottoms house, I'd always cheat money or marry rich just to move there because it was SUCH a nice like upper middle class house ugh i was obsessed but can't remember the name- does anyone else know what i'm talking about? it also had a garage, was yellow-ish and like 3 bedroom 2 bathrooms i think? total nostalgia burst. thank you for this build simsie lol great as always!
