Started watching 4 years ago, used to listen to the podcasts while working a terrible part time job to pay for my PPL lessons. Currently at 1700 hours and signed a CJO with a regional!
I haven’t done an aviation interview (yet!), but my favorite question to ask is how the interviewer made it to where they are today. Learning their experiences can open the door to conversation about like experiences you’ve had, which leads to a memorable interview!
I’m 26 I got aviation management degree that I don’t use. I’m in big pharma and I’m thinking about finally pulling the trigger on this training in march (bonus month). I think the best advice to someone like me is not having a B plan! I always want to play it safe and use my bonuses for paying things off and it’s just been 2 years of doing that so I think I’ll use it for my ppl. People like me play it too safe financially with 2 babies and you can’t take it with you when you die. I’d like them to be proud of my job and not just a high income but something fun too.
A lot of great value you fellas provide. Certainly keeps me going. - Although my main life work is in feature film directing, producing etc, my first love has always been aviation. At this later stage of my life I do hope to fulfill a dream of flying a corporate and contract one day. Maybe in between filmmaking. Anyway really good content, you fellas are awesome.
Hello! Going to retire from 20 years in Law Enforcement in 3 years and about to start flight school. I want to work for a big airliner when all said and done but don't have a degree. How much of a problem you think that will be down the road? My opinion is my experience in making quick decisions, handling stress, working shift work, radio communications etc translate to the profession more than "most" college degrees however its up to me to sell that opinion to the interviewer lol.

I think you’ll have no problem at all! We’ve coached many law-enforcement people who’ve transitioned.
