Actually for those that are saying is too fast the score tempo mark is 88 for a quarter note, so he's actually playing it slower than what it says. It's up to the conductor I guess. :)
I’m in 7th grade and our band teacher is making us play this, I love being in low brass because I love our parts, I’m a baritone btw, and the tempo needs to be slower
I agree with not enough tuba. In 1982, I played this in the NY State All-State Band with 165 pieces, 15 of which were tubas! I also agree that this recording is FAR too fast. Should be almost in eight.
James Castro yeah, makes it more difficult at a slower tempo, those breathes are few and far between in order to keep phrasing in tact. We are playing this piece as our warm up for next show.
Man. Those breathing opportunities are few and far between. Sightread this today, playing this one as part of our warm-up for next concert. I love the simplicity and beauty of this piece. So smooth. We are a small band so it sounds so nice and vulnerable at the start and then when the full band joins, it sounds so warm. I play alto sax 2.
Nick Werstler are you guys in high school? Or junior high? They played it far better than most bands do, and I would be willing to bet that guy directing them knows a thing or two more about this than either one of us.
Beautiful. I played this in band class and fell in love
Same
I still get chills listening to this. We played this in my high school band 20 years ago. Such a beautiful piece.
Beautiful song and the band played it extremely well
Happy New Year 2021.
May We All
Truly Create Salvation this year and all after 💕
Love this piece.

Was supposed to play this at my first hs spring concert but the damn covid19 f it up
sounded great. Plus temp is really up to the director
Honestly, this piece is beautiful. It was a little fast, but I cannot say it was bad. It was great.
Omg that is a HUGE concert band. I HAVE FREAKING 6 PEOPLE!!! WTHECK!!!
Lana Urban 😂 my junior high band is about the size of that band give or take a few students

I played this in 4/4...
this is in 4/4 the tempo is just slowed
It is 4/4 it’s just 75 bpm
you cant even hear the Clarinet but other than that its good
They would have sounded way better in a room ment for bands. But with what they where given, they did amazing!
I’m playing this in 6th grade band
great!

Way to fast. Very musical though. To many band members and not enough tuba.

It's not too fast bruh
They played it a little to fast. Its suppose to be slow really slow.
lorna anderson agreed
lorna anderson I am playing this song in band and my band conductor would make us replay the part if we mess up and if we are not playing slow
Mariah Gillespie exactly!!
I agree we are going to play this it needs to be played slowly and softly my conductor would not allow us to speed up

Yeah so I have learn this to play in my school btw I play tuba
where is the baritone saxophone? Also waaaay too much trumpet!
Onionsss The number of people per section and people on first part in the trumpets are probably not balanced. I have to agree with you.
Nick Werstler are you guys in high school? Or junior high? They played it far better than most bands do, and I would be willing to bet that guy directing them knows a thing or two more about this than either one of us.
Onionsss every one agrees about the trumpets 🎺
No such thing as too much trumpet.
