Hello Tom, thank you for your work, your videos are always very interesting and full of very good advice.
Yes you speak quickly, sometimes it's a bit difficult to follow (it's not my language)
Bravo, continue to delight us, you are always so passionate and exciting.
My big problem is the rear wheel, always so afraid of turning over, falling, hurting myself, damaging the bike...
I will insist all winter because it is a blocking point for the future especially since overall I have balance, I am well positioned on the bike, I am not afraid of the steepest climbs or descents.
Thank you for your time, your work is very appreciated, good luck to you, you deserve to be known in the world of trial and also for those who practice enduro because your advice will be very useful for their progress as well.

I’m in the u.s. and grew up trail riding and still enjoy it but I’m looking to get into trials. These videos are great because I’ve never even rode one. I’m saving up to either buy used or new and definitely like to learn and gain bike skills. Great video im definitely going to check out others.

Thanks for your support. That's how I started as well. Woods Trail riding a KTM and wanted to get better and practice more. Trials opens up so many opportunities and the cross training is 👌

Thank you for the great video. Good advice I once heared in a Jan Peters video was Stand on your feet. Simple as that. Put all your weight on your feet and anticipate if you lose balance. Btw. I ride a 125 :-).

My new 300 starts like that, unbelievable after hard to kick shercos, great kstart design!

I love how easily the 200 starts! Most often it just takes a fairly small tickle of the lever, as you demonstrated, and it starts right up. No having to learn the special Gas Gas kick, or absolutely whomping on the 300 lever, or needing a push start.

I sure appreciate your videos. I'm 63 YO and just got a little Beta 200 this past July. I got the 200 because of a few write-ups as being the easiest bike for some one new to trials. In the beginning, it was a humbling experience. Been riding off-road for 50 years, then getting on a trials bike and feeling like a total squid. Thanks for you help as I am slowly getting better and more confident. Also, how do you like the 200 so far???

How have you been liking the 200? Love watching trials for years, recently got a 300XCW after years of riding Japanese race bikes. Absolutely love it, but I love the idea of being able to practice on a trials bike in the backyard often. Been thinking about getting a Beta 200 for the same reasons you mentioned. Obviously it is a totally different animal, but has the bike been pretty tame/confidence inspiring for you as a total beginner?

@@quickcooper61 Not Rich, but I think the Beta Evo 200 is a goldilocks bike, "just perfect", for anyone below an expert level trials rider. If you can splat and need to climb 6 foot obstacles, consider a 250 or 300, but otherwise the 200 is perfect. The 125 I found didn't have enough power for my adult size but the 200 is awesome. I can't imagine anyone starting out or staying in Novice/Sportsman levels would ever need something larger. And yes you can absolutely ride it around any small yard or even doing figure 8s and circles and wheelies in the driveway. My neighbors say that what minimal noise it makes doesn't bother them at all, it is much quieter than any lawnmowers or leaf blowers.
Totally tame and confidence inspiring, for sure. A bonus feature is that as Tom demonstrates, it starts so easily! Just tickle the kickstart lever and it usually fires right up. No electric start or having to jump on the lever.

I think the 200 is a great bike! Loving mine. Glad you started with that one. I hear ya on the squid experience starting out. 😉 Humility is a great teacher to make you open to learning. Then you'll get addicted.
I've got a bunch more stuff on the website to check out. Free Drills n such.. and even a whole curriculum if you're up for it.

Light kickstart is only for smaller cc beta bikes. Happy to see beta. I have been riding it for 3 years now. Quick tip. When front mud guard breaks, just get the gasgas or any other that has metal base and fits. That plastic is a complete shit. Same problem with the rear, but no solution there.

This is one of the key takeaways I got from your previous video with Dr Chris Buzzelli. When he talked about steering the bike with your feet, it also occurred to me that the rider’s weight should be mostly through the pegs. If you feel pressure on your hands then you’re too far back or forward, or maybe too stiff in the knees. To me the bike feels more fluid riding this way (soft knees, balancing over your feet).

Love the content. What 2 stroke and gear oil do you use on the beta?

    • @TrialsProgression
      @TrialsProgression  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1
