I'm obsessed! I immediately went out & bought yarn & made a raspberry pie! This tutorial was incredibly easy to follow & gave so many helpful hints. Thank you!!
The way you’re instructions are giving well there absolutely amazing. I just saved this to my saved folder. I’m going to start on making one it looks easy enough. Thanks for making these videos.
Pe;aches n Cream cotton yarn in color Oasis is good, and either Jute in Sugar n Cream or Hay Bale in another brand of cotton are good crust colors. Or any tan or dark cream, not hard to find here.
I love this. I am going to make them for little girls to play with as toys. You did a perfect job on the tutorial even at the beginning. I especially liked the way you showed putting on the lattice. So simple compared to what I was thinking in my head. I like the darker crust, it looks like graham cracker crust my mother made. Keep on antiquing and getting more ideas. Thanks for filming even when you were feeling so lousy. I would have waited til you felt better.
Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed. lol. I never thought of a pie with graham cracker crust before. That sounds really good! I will definitely keep antiquing and finding new ideas! Thanks Grace! 😊
Yes, these would be cute toy pies too! She did a great job despite not feeling well. Her pattern is cuter than the other "pie" potholders I've seen. The puffs make the difference.
I finished mine today and it turned out cute! Your pattern is the cutest of the "pie" potholder patterns I've seen because of the puffs which look like cherries. Although my stitch counts, yarn weight, and both hook sizes were correct, my filling was much too small for my crust. I had to leave the last round of crust and the rim off, and I added an edge of SC to the filling. Yours did great so I don't know why my sizes didn't match, but I got it to work! Love mu little cherry pie, LOL. (I did use cotton yarn so I could actually use it if I want.) Thanks for uploading this. I bought your pattern on Etsy, too, You are a great teacher despite not feeling well that day. God bless!
You did a fabulous job explaining. The pies are precious and I hope to make several for Thanksgiving favors. Thank you for sharing! Hope you feel better soon.
Hi, I LOVE these hot pads & am so happy I found your channel❣️ Thank you so much for doing free tutorials, please know we really appreciate you taking the time to do these for those of us who cannot create our own. Of course I subscribed to your channel & sharing with friends. Blessings
Oh Alana, I am so sorry you are still feeling not up to par, I sure hope you feel better real soon! 💕🤗 I just love these! Awesome tutorial, another project to add to the list! Thank you so much Alana! ♥
Cotton yarn--- Sugar 'n cream, color "Jute" is the pie crust. I use Sugar 'n cream for all my projects that will be exposed to heat. I just happen to be making this now!
These are adorable ❤ I think you were using buckwheat flour in the demo. 😁 fyi, acrylic or any synthetic when heated to flame will ball, melt, & cling. Cotton will lift up & off. Wool, well one has to work hard to get wool to burn.
I like your puff stitches pie filling much better than some other patterns. It looks like cherries! Thanks; I'm going to try one but not "burn" my crust, LOL. And I'll use cotton yarn so hot pans won't melt the pie.
there is a brand called "Lion Brand-24/7 cotton" I found on amazon and they have a nice tan color called "Taupe", the yarn is kind of weird though compared to acrylic, but it still comes out nice.
Apologies if you mentioned this in the video, but do you know an approximate time for how long this takes to work up? I'm thinking of making one for a last minute Christmas gift
My pie crust is bigger than the filling what am I doing wrong. I know its 43 puffs and the crust is 84 stitches thats almost double but yours dont look that much bigger. Thank you for doing this for us. Even though you was sick we appreciate it but we could have waited till you was better. Thanks again
She changed what she first said about the hook sizes at the beginning; she finally said to use the bigger size 6mm hook for the filling so it would be big enough, and use the 5mm hook for the crust. She said it the opposite way at first. A little confusing. I haven't made mine yet so I don't know how it will turn out. These are so cute!
Well, I'm making one today, and my filling is much too small too, even though I used the bigger hook! When I was making my crust I didn't even do the final round because it was already so much bigger than my filling! I used the smaller hook,, like she said. I know the number of stitches won't be the same (because I didn't do the last round) but I'll (hopefully) make it work when I crochet the filling to the crust. I even went back and put a single crochet edge around the filling so it would be a little bigger but still have the same number of stitches on the edge. It's still a little too small! I'm making the back-loop "rim" on the crust now. I hope I can make this work. Her pattern is much cuter than the others I've seen because the puff stitches look like cherries or berries. Like you, my number of stitches were correct and so was my yarn weight and hook size. I don't know why my filling is so small and my crust so large! (If I'd done that last round of crust it would have been HUGE.) ??? I'll be back when I'm farther along! @@JelscreationsNmore
I finished mine and it's cute, but I had to leave off the last round of the crust and remove the crust "rim" because it was much too big for the filling. I added a SC edge to the filling to make it a little bigger too. But I got it to work. My stitch counts, yarn, and both hooks were correct so I don't know what happened.
Omg I love this pattern! Thank you so much! I'm dying over here when I see the kitty's paw reach out for the yarn! 🤣

Acrylic yarn will MELT if something very hot touches it. Need cotton yarn for hot pads and potholders.
I love this cotton antique cream or taupe from Hobby Lobby is perfect for the cotton crust
Your pie trivets are adorable!!

My niece wanted a lattice pumpkin pie trivet so I made a pumpkin pie and used your lattice technique on it, looked great! Thank you for sharing.
I remember my grandma had a few of these growing up… these are just wonderful! Definitely going to be making these for this holiday season! Thanks!!

Hobby Lobby's I love this cotton has a Taupe and a Antique Cream that looks close to the buff. These are adorable. I hope your feeling better.

Yes! If these are actually going to be used, acrylic will melt. Need cotton (or perhaps wool).
I think Lion brand 24/7 cotton ecru is similar to the crust color yarn you want
Thank YOU for taking the time to make this.
would i be able to turn this into a hat?
This is adorable!! I love it!! Thank you for sharing❤

Cotton yarn use jute in Lilly n cream yarn.
That's what I'm using. Peaches n Cream in Oasis ombre is good too, but they were out of it.
That's what I'm using too. The Peaches n Cream in Oasis ombre looks good too, but I couldn't find it. The jute looks like pie crust too.
How patient was that kitty cat?! Mine would have been all over the yarn 😂
Could you make a version upsizing it? I'm having trouble figuring it out is all.
Thx, I’ve made several, I ❤this

I would love so much to make this but there is just no “pulling through all nine loops” happening for me. 😢
Walmart mainstays has a tan and hobby lobby also has a lighter tan too
Thank you Sunshine! I will definitely check that out! I appreciate it! 😊
Im here for the pattern! I want to stuff them with cotton and I'm not even going to use it as you intended it to lol
These are adorable
Thanks Denise! 😊
Those are adorable! That Covid is nasty. I had it a couple months ago and still have a few side effects. Be healthy 😊
Thanks Laura! Will do and you too! 😊
My filling is way too small for the crust. Idk what I’m doing wrong. I’m using the different hook sizes and my counts are correct
Very good tips thanks
I love those!! The dark brown doesn't look that bad
Really?! you don't think they look like a burnt pie? HAHAHA!
@@CrochetinwithAlana not to me lol
Thank you this is fantastic 😊

Going to give a try
Good deal! Let me know how they look. 😊
Love these ❤
Thank you Alice! 😀 I appreciate it! 😊
These are so cute❣
Thanks Cassidy!
very pretty
Thank you Charlene! 😊
I didn't catch what size hook is for the filling????
6
Yes, she changed it to 6mm so the filling would be big enough. Use a 5mm for the crust.
So awesome! 💘
Thanks Dana! 😉
Can anyone tell me how many stitches per row?
She gives them each time in the video. It varies depending on which round you are on.

Lion brand 24/7 cotton has light brown/ tan colors
Great idea! I'll check it out. Thank you for letting me know 😊
