A dear friend of mine has a birthday coming up and I was wanting to crochet something for her gift. I am making a set of these, all different kinds of pie. Cherry like you demonstrated, BLUE for blueberry, PEACH, BROWN for mincemeat. I bet I could find something to simulate apple. I will have enough yarn to make one or two to co-workers for their birthdays, and I will have my job done for the Office Grab-bag. I thnk I will make myself a set to hang from hook magnets on my fridge. You have me so excited and running to buy yarn! Thank You!
Anybody ran into the problem of ending with sl st instead of 5dc at the end of round 8? I had 75 st from round 7 but still ended up having 3 extra stitches left so I had to reduce to 72 stitches at round 7 to end with sl st where I started in round 8..
Hi Michael. love this. I'm new to crochet and loving it.i love making handbags. How could I make the pie round a bigger circle? do I just keep repeating the double crochet pattern or do I need increase at any point?
Any suggestions as to how to stop the crust layer fron curving? Ive loosen my tension, changed hook sizes and still curves, almost forning a bowl shape.
Yeah it may be as what Laura said. Try counting the stitches on your way. Or you may don't maintain a constant tension in your handling the hook and yarn. keep it steady
Not if you don't attach the 3rd layer all the way around. Maybe 2/3rds of the circle and leave a gap so you can use the 3rd layer as the back of a pouch for your hand to fit inside.
I cannot wait to do these! I might make a blueberry, cherry and peach pie trio as a holiday gift.
I love your tutorials, Mikey, because they are easy to follow. Made a few of these for a friend and they come out so nice!! Thank you!

JustG, good idea for the apple is a color called Aran. It's kind of very pale tan (apples with cinnamon).
thank you!
I just finished my first one today and gave it to a sweet friend of mine! It turned out so nice and I was so stoked to give it to her! ☺️

Cute
Is there a reason why you wouldn't put "wrong" sides together when joining the crust & filling?
This will make a nice gift with the Hot Pad that was on another video.

sounds like you possibly maybe missing some stitches

I wonder if it's normal for the filling to be just a tad wavy 🧐. Each row ended correctly for me.
So cute!!
Nice potholder.
could I use different yarn for something different instead of a potholder
this is awesome.thanks
This is making me salivate. Yummy!
Will you do tutorials of the other two designs as well? I'd love to see them!
Yes... they are already filmed and coming out this week and next.
Wonderful, thank you!
Say hi to your sweetie for me please and happiest of new yews to both
I like the pattern but I would put a back crust on that way It would look more like a pie
Do it... Patterns are just ideas.
erin minnier seems like three layers would be too much to be able to use as a pot holder properly
