    The bird, the rose,the butterfly are all so well executed but the best part is the meaning they hold for you as a remembrance of your husband. I love that you are venturing out to share your beautiful work- no one cares if you are a beginner at the video game- you are sharing a lifetime of skill and accomplishment- that is what we are excited to see- please don’t feel pressured - you are a natural- we just want to see what you are doing as you go on your merry stitching journey!!! I for one would like to stitch along- no telling what we all might get up to!!!!!

    I love the pages that you have created in memory of your husband (I'm so sorry for your loss) 🌷In particular, the yellow rose got me excited because I have two Graham Thomas rose bushes in my garden. I originally bought one for my mother after my brother, Graham Thomas, died from cancer at the age of 45. I happened to come across it at a local nursery and I knew I had to have it. She loved roses and I'd hoped it would help her with her grieving. I love watching them bloom these days as since my mother and father have now passed I think of the three of them every time it flowers. Thank you for your heartfelt videos Marion. I can't wait to see more 🌷

    Marion I just love listening to you and had tears in my eyes several times. The blue tit absolutely beautiful . A blue tit had its let caught in a bird feeder. I heard it crying and managed to calm it whilst I held it and freed the blue tit. Then the rose more tears. My lovely husband died last July after 63 years together. My wedding bouquet was yellow roses. My W.I. Friends gave me a Yellow Rose to plant in the garden after his funeral. Thank you and I wish you all the best with your new adventures.😊❤

    Lovely video. There is something about you and your art that inspires people. I read all the comments so I know we all feel the same. There’s a lot of positive energy here. I feel it. Our garden grass has turned to hay here in Wisconsin. I’m working on a little bower of potted annuals. When I was out there today with my hands in the dirt, I thought of you. A house wren chastised me because her babies are in a nearby birdhouse. She and her mate finally got used to me being there. I got a late start on my bower tho there are pluses: clearance prices at the nursery and flowers lasting longer into the summer. Summers are so relentlessly hot here, potted plants typically look wan too soon for me. Gardening, I thought of making a smaller stitch book. My mind flew. Peace to all. 🦋

      Lovely to think of you in your garden and the little wren shouting at you...😊 For a tiny bird they definitely have a huge voice! Oh I'm so happy you've enjoyed watching Karen. I've only just started stitching hexies. Although I've made lots of quilts I somehow never fancied doing them before. A few weeks ago I got a hankering to make some and I'm sure you'll get to see them on a future video ☺️
      What are you making with your hexagons?

    • @karen1351
      @karen1351 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marionsworld24 I’ve not completed anything yet but am close to finishing the top of my first ever hand sewn quilt made of half inch hexagons all from scraps and bits from charity shops. You should see the first ones I stitched together compared to where my stitching is now. Lol. It’s been quite the journey.
      A friend suggested that I started doing them when I was recovering after an accident. I’ve always thought that English Paper Piecing was really difficult but it’s a bit of an addiction now. I haven’t even fussy cut anything! There are another four I’ve started, one is for a friend and I’m doing a Grandmothers Flower Garden for her. I’ve been collecting Kaffe Fassett fabric to do a colour wash blue/green quilt inspired by Kate at the Last Homely House for my son and his girlfriend.
      I plan on donating any other quilts I make. I find stitching and not thinking about what I’m doing such a huge stress release. I’d love to take part in the Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery challenges and will one day but I felt pressure to create and wasn’t enjoying it the times I’ve started. Maybe when there is a little less stress in my life. ☺️

    • @marionsworld24
      @marionsworld24  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've only heard of the Roxy journal since I started my channel and I've never heard of the other person.
      Sewing is definitely very therapeutic. Although I've sewed since I was a child I think this last 18 months I've just been a bit obsessive about it. But it's what has kept me going and I do get such pleasure from creating things. Stitching should hopefully not cause you stress. From my point of view I end up in my own little world. 💕
