    This will work for some people and won’t work for others. It depends on your hair history, what colors you used and so many other factors. I’ve done This SO many times and my hair has never fallen out. That being said just because mine didn’t fall out doesn’t mean your hair won’t. If your doing some weird at home mix of things like I do YOU are risking damage to your hair. I made this video because it has been a life saver for me. If YOU choose to do this YOU are taking a risk, it’s not on me. Mmkkkaayyyy????

      I change my hair color every few months and I usually use bleach baths to remove color from my hair, because nothing else really works. Is this comparable to a bleach bath, in how well it removes color?

    • @AkaAislinn
      @AkaAislinn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Depends on the color. It doesnt work that well on blue and green hair I’ve had the most success with purple pink and orange colors. In my opinion it’s way less damaging than bleaching your hair 👍🏻💕

    If you only have 20 vol - mix it with water 50/50 = 10 volume. For example 2 ounces of 20 vol mixed with 2 ounces of water = 4 ounces of 10 volume developer ( thats what we do in the salons) If you'd rather use 5 volume then water it down a little more!

In panic, I came here and literally had everything you mentioned. I used a 20 developer and went a little heavier than you did. Left in for 30 mins and my hair is now a light metallic blonde. For anyone worried about doing this on damaged hair, it does vary for everybody but half of my bangs I recently bleached and dyed green. I bleached them once again after this and used this method today to make the ends lighter. My hair is damaged, but I have thick hair and it has NOT made my hair break more or fall out. However if you have thin hair it may affect it more, I’m not sure. Like she says do it at your own risk but for me it was fine - it should be fine for you too If you have damaged hair. And yes it did work but slightly so I’ll have to do it a few more times to get the colour I want.

    I tried this method without dandruff shampoo and only used purple shampoo and dawn dish soap, baking soda and 20 developer. My hair was faded Extreme Teal by Overtone. I dyed my hair twice, and my roots are coming back in. I'm applying for jobs and need to get it all out so I have a more professional hairstyle for my next job. This WORKED FOR ME! My hair is normal wavy and I have a buzzed side pixie cut, so very short hair. I've only dyed it this once, so the method stripped almost all of the color out. There are some blue areas where it was still pretty vibrant in the middle, but overall this worked wonders and toned down the original yellow bits of the original bleach blonde. Thanks for the tips!

    • @carolinemk8
      @carolinemk8 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      By the way, for all things when using chemicals or bleach: let your hair get oily. Do the treatment after 5-6 days of not washing your hair. The more oil the better! Maybe do a few masks beforehand if your hair is already dry. Also doing a 15 minute mask afterwards helps. NEVER do this after you just washed your hair the night before. Your hair will be too clean and may become suuuper dry or damaged.

    Hi, love your hair work, it's entertaining to watch. now for this hair color removal, i have used OOPS that has worked for me pretty well and when i saw this video, it looked awesome. BUT without propper meassurements, it metaled a few patches of my hair. so i have to carefully comb my hair out when it dries from a shower. It did okay of removing a bit of the color out, but not as much. the purple shampoo did help of getting the yellow out, so now the yellow is a silver, LOL. This is my update for you of how I handled it, in the process i'm going to let my hair grow out and then cut away the hair I have "damaged" over the times of coloring and lightly CAREFULLY bleaching my hair. thank you so much for the videos you post up, love your work and stay beautiful!!!!

They I have this icy color, the only thing is the hair are a bit dry from the treatment but definitely worth it! Thank you

    Hi Aislinn, what / how would you do this if you have half a head of your natural dark brown hair and the other half is grown-out previously lightened (dyed) ?
    Which hair gets worked on first? Natural dark or previously dye-lightened? Or all at once?

    It did that for me the first time I did it, BUT I highly believe it's because I put a shit ton of baking soda in it!!
    Like, be careful with how much you use. Also, use 10 vol developer and not 20,30,40 .
    Lmao.
    Second time worked much better and I deep conditioned right away

    What is the purpose of the Dawn & dandruff shampoos? That's high alkali items and you mix with baking soda which is a lower Ph. You already have the sudsing shampoo which is a high alkai, too. The developer is also a lifting item with a high Ph, yet I can see the need for that.

I always do 20 vol when I do any hair color or bleach. When I have been trying to get rid of it I leave it for 40 ish min.

      it came out in 4 washes, didnt damage my hair like every other one I tried, plus the bleach isnt even activated so it doesnt damage your hair

    Will this work on a pixie cut red ruby splat hair that I applied only to bleached virgin hair (several months ago I bleached my virgin natural dirty blond hair & did nothing except a toner & an alien grey semi permanent until the splat was added)?
    I don’t want my hair to fall out & this method sounds risky...the roots have grown an inch in already.
    What ratios of this mixture would you recommend for my pixie hair?

      I had some bright neon red for several months during quarantine. I think there’s something about red pigments that make them stubborn. I tried all sorts of “no damage” methods and products to cover and remove it but what ended up working was just using permanent dye that matched my natural color.

    Hey so I just bleached my hair a few days ago an dyed it with manic panic blue but it turned out purple. I want it gone I dont like purple. Will this way possible take out enough purple to go in a use some artic fox blue or splat blue? I really wanna reach bright blue after this without damaging my hair as much as possible. ( I do have a deep conditioning hair mask already ) I also have already used a keratin hair mask an it helped put my hair back to the way it was before the bleach. Anyway I can get your advice :)
