- A lovely Sunday morning dive. The sun was shining, the vis was good and the water is warming up nicely. There weren't too many in the car park when I arrived, and as far as I could tell I was first into the water. I even spotted a European eel , though it was away far too quickly to get any decent footage, and then I came to the largest of the boats in the lake to find it surrounded by clouds of little perch, with a pike coolly waiting an opportunity for a snack. A little further on a second pike waited beside the cabin cruiser, hopeful, but in the wrong place.
Dive time 65 minutes, and it didn't seem like that long at all.
Shot on a GoXtreme Barracuda plus a Camkix magenta filter and using available light for most of the footage, with just a little bit of footage using the Archon D11V lights.
Hi Mike
I am visiting the lake this week and was wondering where about in the lake you found these pike holding up?
I'm only asking as I am planning on doing some fishing while I am there and have limited time. So knowing the layout of the lake and the spots you did the dive would be very helpful.
Thanks!
Jamie Mason Hi - well out in the middle of the diving area, but last time I was there
I saw no pike at all!
