I’ve been slowly losing interest in Pokemon after the 3DS games first came out, and it sucks because Pokemon is what helped me through tons of bullying growing up so I almost felt like I lost a piece of myself somehow; the older sprite games have my heart I think because of this. Mixes like this make me want to pick up platinum again. also brings me a sense of serenity and security for some reason, especially during this scary age of uncertainty. random and probably dumb, but thank u for this.
Hey if you missed the old style game try this game called PokeMMO, it's basically gen 1 to 5 but all joined together and it's in MMO means you can meet other player in map
Or Pokemon Revolution Online (PRO), I think its a bit more put together, It has gens 1-4 (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn,and Sinnoh)(Gen 5 is coming soon on it). Its a downloaded online game on your computer, but it is also available on phone, so you play on pc, then when you leave the house you can play it on your phone
I know I this will probably never be seen but I just wanna speak my mind as I was never directly brought into pokemon. Ironically my brother started the game when I was too young to play the and he dropped it after getting lost earlier on, (Team galatic in the flower area) and fortunately kept the game. I had watched him play the earlier bits so I understood kinda what was going on. One day I just happened to stumble across it as a kid and looking back on it I didn't understand why. Maybe it was fate that I walked into that garden with team galatic waiting, and progressed the story of a now two year old save file. From there I progressed, quite easily I might add because of how overleveled my team was. Thing's eventually became harder as everyones first way through the sinnoh league is not to mention me not understanding 75% of the weaknesses of my team. But I remember when that Garchomp fell and I completed the league and was honestly a big acomplishment for my young brain. That propelled my love for pokemon and now playing every generation since, I can always look back on my childhood in sinnoh as some of the most influential video game that I have ever played and ever will play. I will never forget my big three that never left my team, Charlie the infernape, Sky the staraptor, and Electric the luxray. I wish I could pull them back from thin air from the soul silver card I had lost. But rather, I hope someone found it and gave care to those three the same way I had and found success the same way I had.
Good story I have my Empoleon from Pearl I had which was my first game that I got from my uncles. Same for my brother too he got Platinum and I got Pearl we both picked Piplup and he had evolevd his stater before me after the first gym then I ask him to trade his starter for mine and then we traded and went off from there. I still have my brother's Empoleon with me that I brought with me to the other pokemon games such as Soulsliver when we were fighting against Red the strongest trainer, Unova, Kalos, Sun and finally Ultra sun where Empoleon can rest and relax at Poke Pelago after all the 10 year plus adventure where I think it is also better leave him there because I don't know where the future of pokemon will go and I am worry about the direction but I do miss playing with my team and hope that I can play again.
It really feels like it was a different world back when I played these game. This music brings everything back, the feeling of not knowing what will come and still looking forward to discovering the world

I've never been a Pokemon fan. But in high school I met an amazing guy who used to talk a lot about Poke. For me, all that was like a completely different language, but I loved to seem him so excited while talking. Once, he was playing and I told him that the game songs were so beautiful, so he started sending me short Pokemon song tracks. Despite how close we were, I never told him that I loved him and that he was very important to me. Now, each one has his own life: we're living in different cities, he has an amazing gf and I met my bf at college. But days ago, he told me that he remembers me when he listen to this mix. It hurts.
Sinnoh will always be my absolute favorite and I know many people feel the same. the music for this region makes my inner child so happy and I just feel like im not stuck in the shitshow thats 2020
My favorite region, by far. I started with Pokemon Platinum, though I was a Pokemon fan long before, having watched the anime a lot and watching my friends play the games on GameBoy. I've played all the others, whether through an emulator or actually owning the games, but I gotta say... None of them are quite as memorable to me as playing Platinum. Only videogame I've ever broken the clock on. 999:99 hours on it. I really hope Sw/Sh will get more Pokemon, because I want to transfer in my Empoleon. I've taken him into every game I've been able to... He's always been with me, even if I don't have him on my team. I love my baby Pippy more than words can describe. Thank you for this mix - I immediately teared up when it started. So many feels and great memories!!
My whole world was Pokemon Saphire and the Hoenn region. As AS came out I thought it was shit when a friend let me Testplay it on her 3ds I broke into tears. I love all gens from 1-5(I never played any other through) but 3 will always take a special place in my heart

This gen saved my life. I have a whole laundry list of mental disorders and I remember having really rough days as a kid. what I'd do to try to make it through to the next is sit on my bedroom floor in the dark listening to my DS through my headphones. I'm in a much better place thanks to therapy and people I can trust. To this day this music always manages to make me feel like I can get through another day. Thank you for bringing this back to me.
Platinum was my first Pokémon game when I was 8, I’m now 20. If I could go back and play it all over again I totally would. From another lifetime, I hope everyone is safe during these confusing times

@@elijahrock3914 to be honest I really had a blast of nostalgia when I played the remakes. But after the league there wasn’t really anymore to do for me. The underground annoyed me after all. Gen 4 is still my favourite and I will keep coming back to the original DS games from time to time. But the remakes had me really disappointed in the end.

Turning 20 in a few years and I’m trying to play all the old and new Pokémon games so I can look back after college and remember the good old days that I had with by best friend promising them I’d get Pokémon black. I finally got it a few months ago after promising back in 2012. My friends don’t really play Pokémon now because of work and school but I still find time to turn on my ds and play for a bit. But every night I fall asleep to the great music coming out of my ds. I can’t say I have nostalgia now but I hope I can look back 40 years from now and feel a sense of age when I open up my ds again. I’m playing the games with my little baby brother and he always asks when we are going to play next. Sometimes I catch him trying to sneak a few hour of play time when he needs to sleep for school. Instead of yelling at him for being awake, I yell at him for not waking me up to play with him. He gets mad every time I beat him( mainly because I ev train) but I always tell him there is always a way to beat an impossible battle, with enough practice and research, you can do anything. And he uses this advice everywhere he goes. We are playing Pokémon(me, him) emerald, Ruby, platinum, diamond, omega Ruby, alpha sapphire, moon, sun, lg pikachu, lg eevee, sword, shield, sp, bd. And we are going to get more and work together to 100% every game. I’ll comment on this comment when we have finished all the games 100%. See you all in a few years.

Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. Platinum >>>> I enjoy all the games, but Gen 3 and 4 (remakes of this gen included) are the best to me. Even owning ones like Sapphire, Silver, Yellow, I always find myself going back to Platinum and HGSS.
I love gen 4, not just because they are nostalgic, but also because the physical/special split made Pokemon so much more unique! It may still have been missing the fairy type to round things out completely, but it hits the "no mega evolutions, but diverse attacker types"-gameplay-sweetspot for me. Currently trying to build a trick room team with some classic Sinnoh B-listers like Gastrodon in Platinum and it's been a blessing to have this outlet!

I was 7 years old when Pokemon Pearl came out. I got it for Christmas that year, with a black, silver, and gold NDS. My family was very poor, and this was the only time period in my life when my family could afford luxiers. I played Pearl day in, day out, never stopping, always keeping my NDS plugged in so it would never die. Playing that NDS is what got me through a lot of my struggles as a kid. I know it's nostalgia, and I know that I'm biased, but Gen 4 has always been the most beautiful generation by far. From the pixel art, the music, the physical special split, new pokemon, new moves, new evolutions, new EVERYHTING. I didn't even grow up playing mostly Gen 4. I started playing Pokemon at 3, starting with Pokemon Yellow and Silver for GB, and Pokemon Stadium 1&2 on the N64. Then onto Pokemon Ruby for GBA and Pokemon Colosseum on the GC. That's what I was playing for the most part. Even through all of Gens 1-3 (Thankfully through hand-me-downs from my cousins and a few emulations), Gen 4 has stood out to me in every way. In my mid 20's now. I'm doing well for myself, I'm married to the man of my dreams, and I have real, true friends by my side. I come home from work every day to love, every single time. Through it all, I still find myself opening up my 3DS and loading up Platinum just to pass the time. Thanks Gamefreak. I'll give you this one ❤
My first game was oras and I love it but I just like Sinnoh more it really brought out the Pokémon master inside me that’s why I love and will always love Sinnoh (Im on my DSI playing diamond as I’m typing this)
my youngest brother was born in 2009. he never got into Pokemon, but it makes me happy that you find joy in Gen IV, Sinnoh was a magical soundtrack :) I grew up playing Pokemon Blue, but my first real game was Gen III, Sapphire.
I remember finding that Riolu egg there back in iron island when I played Pearl. Back when Lucario was my absolute favorite pokemon I was beyond happy when I finally got mine, especially as a HGSS-pleb that never had been to Hoenn or Sinnoh before to witness the pokemon there. And being the Kingdom Hearts freak I was I named it „Riku“, with the egg hatching somewhere at the Team Galactic HQ. I think I travelled with it from Pearl to SoulSilver to White 1. And THEN I lost my copy of White 1, along with plenty of Pokemon, including Riku... And now roughly ten years later, with Pokemon leaving and coming like friends, knowing a bit more about Pokemon other than the casual way of playing it, I wonder what its IVs were... ... Is it a bit too immature of me to clinge so much to a Pokémon when its nothing more than just data? Is it at least considered normal to just cling on to the memories I made with them?

Generation 4 was the first game i owned. I love hearing sinnohs soundtrack it just brings back so many memories. I play platinum from time time and then transfer my team to the current games. I still remember when i bought a second hand pokemon platinum, my first game for my nintendo DS and when i started the game i realized that someone had already started the game, i was literally stuck on eterna city for hours cuz i didnt i knew english until i was around 12 so when i got stuck, i would pretty much talk to all npcs until I was able the progress throught the game, wandering around, trying to figure out how pokemon worked. Back then i didnt know anything about pokemon and i had a legendary(Groundon) which i still didnt know what it was, I didnt really think much of it, after a while i got bored because i coudnt progress and started messing with the PC and i fucking released Groundon, yep. I only realised this mistake about a few months after, which i still kinda regret nowadays(im 18 now)but at the same time funny cuz when my brother and cousins also got into pokemon I told them this they fricked out. Btw this happened when i was about 8 and they were also a similar age so yeah.

I describe my quarantine with two words: Pokémon Platinum. It was 2020 when the pandemic has started. I've downloaded Pokémon Platinum for my Dsi. The journey with my Chimchar, the battles, the legendaries, the places, everything was amazing. Every Friday, after the virtual classes, I turned on my Ds and went into sinnoh, and to this day I do that with Platinum, Diamond and Pearl. I can play in sinnoh 40 times, and I won't get tired.

Pokemon pearl was the first video game I ever played and tried to understand when I was younger, I was given my DS by my cousin with the game. I'll never forgot my first run of that game, I used a staraptor with aerial ace that would one shot almost anything until I got to the elite four. I just couldn't get past Cynthia with not enough pp for aerial ace and I didn't know about pp ups for my first run. I ended up beating the game for the first time with a lvl 100 staraptor lvl64 palKia and some low levels I caught on victory road. This game was the peak of my childhood I'll never forget the vibe it gave.
It has been 3 years now that I listen this lofi pokemon video to study every single day of my life. I was in high school the first time I listened to it. Right now I'm in college and I didn't loose this habit. Every time I listen to it, it reminds me of childhood memories, me playing platinium pokemon in holidays, but also the memories of me working hours and hours for my exams. I spend so much time listening to it, thank you for this amazing gift you made us, this music isn't just a music, it's a travelling machine
Sinnoh will always be a special region I hold close to my heart. I always look back at the time me and my best friend started together in Twin leaf Town. I roped him into it by giving him pearl since I had diamond. Fighting after each gym, building our team and slowly getting closer to the end of the game. Our final battle after the elite 4 wasn't as epic as most fights but I still remember it and it gives me the feels. Up until then my infernape destroyed his entire team almost everytime single handedly. this time we were neck and neck, funnily enough it was his tortera VS infernape and I thought I had it but he survived flare blitz and hit me with earthquake and one shot me. I still remember his face, he was shocked and so happy. I can't lie I was salty but looking back on it now I'm happy he won, sorta like student becomes the teacher moment.

Maybe it was fate that I walked into that garden with team galatic waiting, and progressed the story of a now two year old save file. From there I progressed, quite easily I might add because of how overleveled my team was. Thing's eventually became harder as everyones first way through the sinnoh league is not to mention me not understanding 75% of the weaknesses of my team. But I remember when that Garchomp fell and I completed the league and was honestly a big acomplishment for my young brain. That propelled my love for pokemon and now playing every generation since, I can always look back on my childhood in sinnoh as some of the most influential video game that I have ever played and ever will play. I will never forget my big three that never left my team, Charlie the infernape, Sky the staraptor, and Electric the luxray. I wish I could pull them back from thin air from the soul silver card I had lost. But rather, I hope someone found it and gave care to those three the same way I had and found success the same way I had.

Good story I have my Empoleon from Pearl I had which was my first game that I got from my uncles. Same for my brother too he got Platinum and I got Pearl we both picked Piplup and he had evolevd his stater before me after the first gym then I ask him to trade his starter for mine and then we traded and went off from there. I still have my brother's Empoleon with me that I brought with me to the other pokemon games such as Soulsliver when we were fighting against Red the strongest trainer, Unova, Kalos, Sun and finally Ultra sun where Empoleon can rest and relax at Poke Pelago after all the 10 year plus adventure where I think it is also better leave him there because I don't know where the future of pokemon will go and I am worry about the direction but I do miss playing with my team and hope that I can play again.
OMG I also always pick Infernape Staraptor and Luxray. What a coincidence!

I've never been a Pokemon fan. But in high school I met an amazing guy who used to talk a lot about Poke. For me, all that was like a completely different language, but I loved to seem him so excited while talking.
Once, he was playing and I told him that the game songs were so beautiful, so he started sending me short Pokemon song tracks.
Despite how close we were, I never told him that I loved him and that he was very important to me.
Now, each one has his own life: we're living in different cities, he has an amazing gf and I met my bf at college.
But days ago, he told me that he remembers me when he listen to this mix.

My favorite region, by far. I started with Pokemon Platinum, though I was a Pokemon fan long before, having watched the anime a lot and watching my friends play the games on GameBoy. I've played all the others, whether through an emulator or actually owning the games, but I gotta say... None of them are quite as memorable to me as playing Platinum. Only videogame I've ever broken the clock on. 999:99 hours on it.
I really hope Sw/Sh will get more Pokemon, because I want to transfer in my Empoleon. I've taken him into every game I've been able to... He's always been with me, even if I don't have him on my team. I love my baby Pippy more than words can describe.

My whole world was Pokemon Saphire and the Hoenn region. As AS came out I thought it was shit when a friend let me Testplay it on her 3ds I broke into tears. I love all gens from 1-5(I never played any other through) but 3 will always take a special place in my heart

This gen saved my life. I have a whole laundry list of mental disorders and I remember having really rough days as a kid. what I'd do to try to make it through to the next is sit on my bedroom floor in the dark listening to my DS through my headphones. I'm in a much better place thanks to therapy and people I can trust. To this day this music always manages to make me feel like I can get through another day. Thank you for bringing this back to me.

@@elijahrock3914 to be honest I really had a blast of nostalgia when I played the remakes. But after the league there wasn’t really anymore to do for me. The underground annoyed me after all. Gen 4 is still my favourite and I will keep coming back to the original DS games from time to time. But the remakes had me really disappointed in the end.

Turning 20 in a few years and I’m trying to play all the old and new Pokémon games so I can look back after college and remember the good old days that I had with by best friend promising them I’d get Pokémon black. I finally got it a few months ago after promising back in 2012. My friends don’t really play Pokémon now because of work and school but I still find time to turn on my ds and play for a bit. But every night I fall asleep to the great music coming out of my ds. I can’t say I have nostalgia now but I hope I can look back 40 years from now and feel a sense of age when I open up my ds again. I’m playing the games with my little baby brother and he always asks when we are going to play next. Sometimes I catch him trying to sneak a few hour of play time when he needs to sleep for school. Instead of yelling at him for being awake, I yell at him for not waking me up to play with him. He gets mad every time I beat him( mainly because I ev train) but I always tell him there is always a way to beat an impossible battle, with enough practice and research, you can do anything. And he uses this advice everywhere he goes. We are playing Pokémon(me, him) emerald, Ruby, platinum, diamond, omega Ruby, alpha sapphire, moon, sun, lg pikachu, lg eevee, sword, shield, sp, bd. And we are going to get more and work together to 100% every game. I’ll comment on this comment when we have finished all the games 100%. See you all in a few years.

Platinum >>>> I enjoy all the games, but Gen 3 and 4 (remakes of this gen included) are the best to me. Even owning ones like Sapphire, Silver, Yellow, I always find myself going back to Platinum and HGSS.
I love gen 4, not just because they are nostalgic, but also because the physical/special split made Pokemon so much more unique! It may still have been missing the fairy type to round things out completely, but it hits the "no mega evolutions, but diverse attacker types"-gameplay-sweetspot for me.
Currently trying to build a trick room team with some classic Sinnoh B-listers like Gastrodon in Platinum and it's been a blessing to have this outlet!

I was 7 years old when Pokemon Pearl came out. I got it for Christmas that year, with a black, silver, and gold NDS. My family was very poor, and this was the only time period in my life when my family could afford luxiers.
I played Pearl day in, day out, never stopping, always keeping my NDS plugged in so it would never die.
Playing that NDS is what got me through a lot of my struggles as a kid. I know it's nostalgia, and I know that I'm biased, but Gen 4 has always been the most beautiful generation by far.
From the pixel art, the music, the physical special split, new pokemon, new moves, new evolutions, new EVERYHTING.
I didn't even grow up playing mostly Gen 4. I started playing Pokemon at 3, starting with Pokemon Yellow and Silver for GB, and Pokemon Stadium 1&2 on the N64. Then onto Pokemon Ruby for GBA and Pokemon Colosseum on the GC. That's what I was playing for the most part.
Even through all of Gens 1-3 (Thankfully through hand-me-downs from my cousins and a few emulations), Gen 4 has stood out to me in every way.
In my mid 20's now. I'm doing well for myself, I'm married to the man of my dreams, and I have real, true friends by my side. I come home from work every day to love, every single time.
Through it all, I still find myself opening up my 3DS and loading up Platinum just to pass the time.

My first game was oras and I love it but I just like Sinnoh more it really brought out the Pokémon master inside me that’s why I love and will always love Sinnoh (Im on my DSI playing diamond as I’m typing this)
my youngest brother was born in 2009. he never got into Pokemon, but it makes me happy that you find joy in Gen IV, Sinnoh was a magical soundtrack :) I grew up playing Pokemon Blue, but my first real game was Gen III, Sapphire.
I remember finding that Riolu egg there back in iron island when I played Pearl. Back when Lucario was my absolute favorite pokemon I was beyond happy when I finally got mine, especially as a HGSS-pleb that never had been to Hoenn or Sinnoh before to witness the pokemon there.
And being the Kingdom Hearts freak I was I named it „Riku“, with the egg hatching somewhere at the Team Galactic HQ. I think I travelled with it from Pearl to SoulSilver to White 1. And THEN I lost my copy of White 1, along with plenty of Pokemon, including Riku...
And now roughly ten years later, with Pokemon leaving and coming like friends, knowing a bit more about Pokemon other than the casual way of playing it, I wonder what its IVs were...
... Is it a bit too immature of me to clinge so much to a Pokémon when its nothing more than just data? Is it at least considered normal to just cling on to the memories I made with them?

I still remember when i bought a second hand pokemon platinum, my first game for my nintendo DS and when i started the game i realized that someone had already started the game, i was literally stuck on eterna city for hours cuz i didnt i knew english until i was around 12 so when i got stuck, i would pretty much talk to all npcs until I was able the progress throught the game, wandering around, trying to figure out how pokemon worked. Back then i didnt know anything about pokemon and i had a legendary(Groundon) which i still didnt know what it was, I didnt really think much of it, after a while i got bored because i coudnt progress and started messing with the PC and i fucking released Groundon, yep.
I only realised this mistake about a few months after, which i still kinda regret nowadays(im 18 now)but at the same time funny cuz when my brother and cousins also got into pokemon I told them this they fricked out.
Btw this happened when i was about 8 and they were also a similar age so yeah.

I describe my quarantine with two words: Pokémon Platinum.
It was 2020 when the pandemic has started. I've downloaded Pokémon Platinum for my Dsi.
The journey with my Chimchar, the battles, the legendaries, the places, everything was amazing.
Every Friday, after the virtual classes, I turned on my Ds and went into sinnoh, and to this day I do that with Platinum, Diamond and Pearl. I can play in sinnoh 40 times, and I won't get tired.
Ah this brings back so many good memories :') and I love that the tracklist goes in order from Twinleaf Town to the Pokemon League!!

Pokemon pearl was the first video game I ever played and tried to understand when I was younger, I was given my DS by my cousin with the game. I'll never forgot my first run of that game, I used a staraptor with aerial ace that would one shot almost anything until I got to the elite four. I just couldn't get past Cynthia with not enough pp for aerial ace and I didn't know about pp ups for my first run. I ended up beating the game for the first time with a lvl 100 staraptor lvl64 palKia and some low levels I caught on victory road. This game was the peak of my childhood I'll never forget the vibe it gave.
It has been 3 years now that I listen this lofi pokemon video to study every single day of my life. I was in high school the first time I listened to it. Right now I'm in college and I didn't loose this habit. Every time I listen to it, it reminds me of childhood memories, me playing platinium pokemon in holidays, but also the memories of me working hours and hours for my exams. I spend so much time listening to it, thank you for this amazing gift you made us, this music isn't just a music, it's a travelling machine

Sinnoh will always be a special region I hold close to my heart. I always look back at the time me and my best friend started together in Twin leaf Town. I roped him into it by giving him pearl since I had diamond. Fighting after each gym, building our team and slowly getting closer to the end of the game. Our final battle after the elite 4 wasn't as epic as most fights but I still remember it and it gives me the feels. Up until then my infernape destroyed his entire team almost everytime single handedly. this time we were neck and neck, funnily enough it was his tortera VS infernape and I thought I had it but he survived flare blitz and hit me with earthquake and one shot me. I still remember his face, he was shocked and so happy. I can't lie I was salty but looking back on it now I'm happy he won, sorta like student becomes the teacher moment.
