We survived hurricane Helene. So many trees were on power lines and houses. We had no power/electricity for days. Finally the stores and gas stations are getting restocked. Hopefully the next storm will not come towards France.

The chapel really is such a stunner. Every time you take the camera in there, I am dumbfounded all over again. So beautiful.
You could try your own remedy by putting peeled fresh garlic cloves in a small jar, and then fully covering it with honey. Mix the jar everyday for about 2 weeks, and let it "burp" to let out the gases. After the two weeks it will be more watery, and turn a dark color, it will not go bad. It is good for any cold, it's better/healthier than any antibiotic

Be careful everyone of walking pneumonia, its very contagious and all family members should have a weeks worth of Arithamyacine.
Its a very strong antibiotic, for those who can't take penicillin.

Keep the cold air out of your ears with cotton, don't get a chill, keep your hair dry, wear layers of soft warm comfies and turtlenecks, please stay well everyone.
Youve ALL done such wonderful, beautiful things for this chateau and gardens. Its such a good feeling to get from so far away watching the awesome progress and growth in everything. Along with so much love and joy in doings and deeds, especially with one another.

Isabel is right, she does need to be up and active for her health, and for her lung expansion! Cool Wind or clean air will not hurt her! Isabel is a retired nurse, I am a recently retired Trauma-Critical Care-Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner. Listen to your mom, keep asking her to go to a doctor if you want, but please respect her-she is doing the right stuff! No one lies in bed if hospitalized with pneumonia, they are up walking to open their lungs! Even intubated comatose patients are out of bed if hemodynamically stable! People have not been told to lie around with respiratory infections since early 1900s.
I agree that one cannot just lie down the whole time, and be waited on or anything as such ,as it would settle in lungs. Of course no chance of that for Mummy! lol But she is finally breaking up a bit with the congestion ,after the home=made 'steam tent ', Marie made for her to breathe in , and it helped alot.( She is not getting worse, and that is a good sign. ) Percy seems to have some congestion as well. It is easy to catch it when in the same home.

@@labarbarachase122 Yep, I agree & said the same in the comments a couple videos ago, when Isabel said it was just a cold. Just a cold can be treated, and can develop into multiple forms of bacterial infections, pneumonia, sinusitis, ear infections (yes even in adults), especially in the elderly who has just been exposed to air travel! And Isabel said she might need antibiotics today, so she's on top of things!

Isabel is having a lung reaction from the dry air change of Arizona and airplanes back to the damp humidity or moisture of France and England. It always is a shock to the body and she needs to rest her lungs or bronchitis will ensue.

Yes we had windy Hurricane Hell ene and were without power for 6 days and nights. with inside temps at 93* F degrees. Of course it was much worse in other parts of Georgia (GA), South and North Carolina (where entire towns were washed down the mountains). It was a 10000 year flood, that was totally unexpected. Please keep those displaced out of their homes in your thoughts and prayers. Our government is very slow in assistance with the largest National Disaster in our Countries history. Today we had Hurricane Milton that went across Tampa FL and we received the whip top end with lots of gusty wind this morning. So more yard clean up for us this weekend. Great to see Fall has arrived at LaLande. Yummy Marie, Soup's On!

I worry about mummy and Percy's health sometimes. Although they are quite hardy, colds on the lungs can be pneumonia quickly. Is good that you keep an eye on them, so glad they are with you. ❤
🍃🐕. Much enjoyment as usual, but always like to see more of Galahad. I’m happy to see him wearing his warm clothes as I hear Prague Ratters catch cold very easily. And ‘on the leash’…tho mighty and intrepid they also are very delicate creatures. I still cringe remembering dear Lancelot chasing those sheep. On a happier note, there are long haired RATTERS as well that are as cute as can be!💚🍃
Our local utility finished installing our fibers last summer and it's been awesome. These storms can hold together for ever and ever all across the Atlantic. Sorry about that...

I was just going to comment with her making up hot chicken soup or lots of veggie soups. It’s that time of year to warm the innards . Like the squash or pumpkins or any vegetables from the garden with fresh broths. Easy to make!

Just an FYI. My daughter was recently married and I was sicker than I have ever been. Same symptoms as your mom. Especially the lungs. Your mom needs to go to a doctor and get a combo of drugs that will eliminate all of symptoms. They will know the trio because after Covid they use it all the time. Don’t know how it works in Europe but at certain ages you have to get it right away!! It can turn to pneumonia in a minute. No fresh air will help! It will exacerbate the symptoms. It’s a trio of drugs that help within 24 hours. Believe me. I was able to enjoy my daughter’s wedding.

If “some” of these people watch all the episodes they would know not to criticize what they don’t know, the chateau heating is scheduled for January, unlike other countries where you have hundreds of these trades people to choose from, things are very different in Europe!! Stop preaching please!!

It is good to keep active but not when you go from warm to cold to warm as that’s guaranteed to cause problems with a chest infection. Hopefully the doctor will sort everything out. Hopefully your heating will get installed and working sooner than later. Thank goodness you have the wood burners installed to get some of the rooms cosy. I got fast fibre and was to,d it’s fast when it gets to the house but once in it will slow down 😮
