You can like what you like. Personally I think the proportions look way off with the leg extensions. All and All this thing looks really cool but not for me.
Jesus wept, the angle he went in on opening those back leg panels. Deffo aiming at three for three 😅 This figure is cool. I'll wait for the inevitable 6 billion redecos and then cherry pick which one I want, but absolutely love the amount of play options available here. Toys like this are wasted on adults.
The back half of the head looks ridiculous against the beautiful paint they did. FFS just paint the eyes and head, light piping is so situational it makes no sense for it to be here.

Wow what a big chonky dude! I’m with you on the “too many options” comment and would go through all the modes and settle on one eventually after a while. Almost like when you have a set of combiners, I suppose. Do you like them in combined, or alt, or bots? I was getting a very Aliens drop ship vibe when you were making up the helicopter mode, especially with the rear tail & multi canopy cockpit area. If some of those accessories could be made into forward facing missile pod racks, it would for sure get there! Good review as always! I’d go for this if I had the chance, but for today, it’s way down the list. So many upcoming releases I want to get my hands on first!
I think this and their Prime are beautiful figures. But to be honest, they're just too big to fit in my collection. And I'm not creative enough to use all the extra parts properly
Really want to pick this up, but I'm holding out for news from TFC that they'll be releasing one in Destro's Dominator color scheme rather than Megatron colors, just like how we got the jungle green Rolling Thunder colors instead of just Optimus classic colors.
i own a shelf dedicated to various Prime and Megatron versions so this one fits perfectly into that shelf but I need TFC to rerelease the red and blue Prime because I missed that one and I don't think the camo one goes with this Megatron version. I already own the TFC Prime mold but it's the Monkey King version and that one is for another shelf were I keep various interpretations of various characters I like. In that shelf I have at least 5 different interpretations of each character. Other then that I agree with your critics, thanks for the review Mr. Skullface.
Bird-back / Monkey-pants it’s all a mess. Put this thing on a shelf with the Cang animal combiner and that Jiang Xing huge dragon. These things remind me of those old ladies that wear rings on every finger, and wear way too much perfume. Just plain gaudy as hell Mac.
I know what you’re saying about too many options. Sold some non-TF figures that just felt overwhelmed with accessories. I couldn’t mentally handle it LOL.
This figure reminds me of that scene from Iron Man 2 when Justin Hammers is giving his weapons demonstration to Rhodes and some army guy and after the demonstration Hammers ask Rhodes which one he wants for the War Machine armor and Rhodes say i want them all

I think light piping has a place in the modern market, it's just that most of the time it's not implemented very well. However in this case I feel they should've used a light up head.

It looks great but I wish TFC would stop using so much translucent plastic (such as on heads). They rarely use it well and it usually detracts from their figures. I like the playability and options, but I'm not crazy about it basically being a giant partsformer. I suppose it's a bit like the Diaclone Reboot toys in a way.

Its really not a good look at this scale. Hard to take Megatron serious with a Jolly rancher stuck on his head.

1/35th scale. Basically, the same scale as most armored vehicle model kits.
